Russian national Yuliya Kalinina, 24, is accused of placing an ad on Craigslist for a "Green Card Marriage."

Yuliya Kalinina, 24, spelled out exactly what she was looking for in a husband in her Internet ad:

"Green Card Marriage -- Will pay $300/month. Total $15,000," the Russian national wrote in an ad placed on the Craigslist Web site. "This is strictly platonic business offer, sex not involved."

The ad caught the attention of the man who would eventually marry her on February 17, 2006. But it also alerted agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Kalinina, from Russia, and her husband, Benjamin C. Adams, 30, were arrested last week for what federal prosecutors allege was a sham marriage.

Robert Schoch, special agent in charge of ICE investigations in Los Angeles, said it is the first criminal case he is aware of in which people allegedly used the Internet to engineer a sham marriage for a green card. Video Watch as the Craigslist ad for a husband lands the woman in trouble »

Attorney Dale Rubin, who is representing Kalinina, said she didn't know it was illegal to marry for a green card, which he said was evidenced by the blatant language in her ad.

Adams' attorney, public defender John Littrell, declined to comment to the Los Angeles Times.

TEES, you have other blogs here to address as well. Deal with those prior to posting more anti-white propaganda.

Tees, do you spend your time researching obscure ‘crimes’ committed by whites so you can post here? Too bad incidents of black crimes are so commonplace it doesn’t take as much effort.

'Dat girl' needs a life then…or she should invest her time on something constructive…...like teaching basic writing to one4me, shukur and other ‘graduates’ of the DC public schools such as the imbeciles who flooded us last week with ignorant comments over the death of a nobody.

Interesting comments Alexis.....but I'm sure it's much easier to blame all problems in her community on the legacy of slavery.

Priveye, it’s more accurate to attribute the black condition to a legacy of laziness and entitlement.

LMFAO @ the majority of you (with the exception of one) who have made total BLEEP of yourselves with your ASSUmptions:

I saw this HEADLINE while I was on CNN.com: "'Green Card Marriage' Ad Nets Arrest" which caught my attention as an IMMIGRATION ISSUE and lol it had NO PICTURE so it was IMPOSSIBLE to know the race/ethnicity of the individual involved....until I clicked on the LINK TO THE HEADLINE and saw the picture and article....hate to tell you this but I could have cared less about her 'whiteness' LOL it was about the MARRYING FOR GREEN CARDS issue (which I am quite aware has been going on for ages by aaaallllll kinds of people from everywhere). Looks like you all were more concerned with the COLOR aspect while all I gave a s**t about was the IMMIGRATION issue itself (and believe me, LOL, a 'white' person was the last person I expected to see when I saw the headline and was already wondering if it would be something worth posting up when I opened it). LMAO

I wasn't aware this was "anti-white" propaganda- isn't this an IMMIGRATION issue, it's certainly NOT Russian women alone who marry for green cards!
"Anti-white" I am most certainly not- another ASSUmptions made by BLEEP.

Thanks for the laughs this evening....

"TEES, you have other blogs here to address as well. Deal with those prior to....."

I'm still trying to figure out what possible kind of authority you seem to THINK you have? Maybe you don't understand/comprehend that you don't tell me what I have to address when and how.....well, of course you can say what you'd like, lol, but you know....the middle finger in your direction as I kiss my teeth towards you and walk away shouldn't be an unexpected response. And please understand that I DON'T fear cops (I know quite a few good ones), and I most certainly don't fear and/or give a s**t about EX-cops.
    Dialogue over.
    Have a pleasant evening.
