It's really not all her fault, she did not ask to be VP, she sure did not earn it, this young, attractive lady got caught up in the wrong ways, of the end of eight years of bad choices,  and said yes! to good old McCain,  now she will soon get dumped by the GOP and good old McCain and the rest of his followers will try again to put a good face on his next VP choice, no matter how bad they are, like they tried and will fail with this one. I think before the end of this September, Mrs. former VP pick ,will be back in Alaska , Good bye Mrs. Palin we hardly got to know you, and that's a good thing. Mr. McCain and the rest of his supporters should have known better, but they follow like the blind leading the blind, they want to do and believe any thing that will keep Mr. Obama out of the white house even at the cost of  taking this country down and having anyone for VP good old McCain winks at, and that's not a good thing. Some of you know better, you knew she was not the one, but any one other then Mr.Obama and his great choice, Mr. Biden, that's your line of thought, maybe years ago,  it's a new day, a new time, a new awakeing for many black, brown, yellow, red ,white Americans who are moving on to a better choice then good old McCain and his poor choices to bring America back from the past eight years.  

Yes!, what a great and historical convention, the coming together of Americans from all backgrounds, and races , the voices speaking to the will of the people, Michelle, Hillary, Bill, Jackson,Jr., Al, Joe, and  regular  every day people from around America, wanting a change for the better for all of us. This is and will go down as one of the best conventions of this country, in making a case to move our country on a new level of  people working  for and with  people and good leaders to grow our hopes, dreams and hard work to make up for the loss of the past eight years. Those who are not on the bandwagon for a new direction, new changes, new style, new hope, new outlook, new togetherness and a new world direction for the good, should leave their personal doubts, rumors, lies, hate to the side for this time and join those who yearn for a better day and vote for a man for this time, to help this country gain its place as a true leader in more then words but in deeds, action , hard work and understanding for the betterment of all people. Join and vote Obama Biden 08.

Some people may not understand the following, I do not believe DC should be allowed to have guns, but, when guns are made available in DC, I will be one of the first to buy one. Let me explain the first part, it would be nice to live in a city and not need/want a gun in a home, people respected each other, and crime was low, ninety eight percent of those who commited a murder were being brought to justice, and we did not need guns in our homes.

The real facts are DC is not a nice place to live for mainly one reason,  I live in ( life time)DC, CRIME, the police are outwitted by mostly all of the thugs , murders get away too often. Last year my wife was robbed by a thug as she was about to enter our home, keys in hand, yes, the thug had a gun,  yes, the police did not get him, yes, he had already stolen another person's auto, later the owner sent back my wife's id, found in the recover auto, no, the police had no clue to check the auto after it was recoverd, I'm sorrry to say, if you live in DC and want to protect your family and home, get in line to purchase a gun , it's sort of sad but this is life in the nation capitol, unwanted as it may be, you need a gun to help keep a sense of well being around your home. Sorry to say gun stores will do very, good business in DC.

Do the right thing , you ran a good race, fell behind and loss to the person, people supported most. Give Obama his deserve credit, after all he beat the other best (Hillary) candidate, work hard from your heart to support him against McCain, as hard as you ran against him. Support whom ever he picks as VP, even if it's not you, Jim Webb or  Sam Nunn, are my choices right now, but, that's the president's call.  Encourge those who voted for you to join in and help make Obama the person to lead our country forward, and bring this country and the world into being the best it can be with the many problems that face us all.  Best wishes to you, in working with Obama to make it happen in 08.  

PS. I think you would do very good heading the - Department of Health, reforming health  care concerns and other related problems, just a thought.

Have you notice (The Dumbing down ) of news. We seem to get less detail, informed, world view  type of news. Instead we seem to get entertained, gossip, laughs and pretty sets, yes some good reporting on Public tv channels. but the locals 4,5, 7, and 9 seem more and more geared toward playing into the mind set of what draws more people instead of giving needed news. Even the last debate played into this dumbing down. 

Reporters, news anchors, may not have much say as to what is shown each night, most of the lead in stories have big teasers, follow by little contents. Some channels play too much to certain groups or politics, little coverage is given to countries that do not play into our thinking. I think we need to pay more attention to advancing views of countries like Bolivia, who's president has what I believe is pointing to a new type of world leadership for people,  he states why do we over  fuel feed luxury auto's, at the expense of not worrying about fueling the needs of human beings. 

Our news need to open up its resources to the greater views of this world instead of spending too much time on things that play to a teenage type of gossip, over kill and waste, we need more real beef, life meaning, facts, whole world coverage without playing to the greed of waste money. We need to move to things in people lives, by meeting the reporting of things, most needed for life.

I have read some  blogs on the beating of one girl by a group of girls. Some people, are in favor of throwing the book at the girls for the beating, some compare the crime to how blacks get harsher times often in crimes like this, some think the girls need no time but treatment.

 We should not have to be in this wide disagreement in this discussion. To be fair the time for this type of crime should already be known, if found guilty, just as we know before we purchase gas, the price you have to pay  at a station, it's posted. I have stated before, that 's one way to make similar crimes fair without regard for wealth, race, or postion in life.

Life for this crime should not even be consider, 30 to 50 years is out of bounds, some people who kids are not charge in this or simillar crime, may think harsher times to serve as being fair, but if  one of these were your daughter, you would be on Larry King's show sobbing, my little girl is so sweet, she does not deserve anytime ... be real.

Now here is the real deal, these girls if found guilty, should not have their life ruin for the rest of their life,  should not be charge as adults, meaning no 30, 50, or life. From what I know of the case, the time for this type of planning and carrying out this crime, the injuries suffer, should be somewhere between 4 to 8 years with 5 to 10 years probation after release. And yes they need treatment while serving time.

Only in MURDER should life be one of the given.

Hillary Clinton, trying to dismiss her lie as just a mistake that shows she is human, like anyone else, should not be  easily accepted. This lie was written about in her book, repeated by her at several events, embarrassed those who made the trip with her, including her daughter. This was and is an out and out, in your face lie, on the part of a person who wants to be the president of our country, and meet with world leaders.  I wonder, has there ever been a bigger in your face lier in the history of former first ladies, then on top of that offer no real apology and trys to laugh if off as if she were a three year old caught fibbing. This should not be pass over as it soon will be, this is almost bigger then the, I did not have sex with that women, it appears as is often stated: The Clintons will say or do anything to try to get elected, I don't know if I can vote for her against anybody who's running for president. Hillary this is nothing to laugh about its a shame in  your own words,with some correction, Shame on you Hillary, shame on you.         

Doing weekend discussions with friends, I learned some distrubing stories about what happens on some metro lines,  I'm not a metro rider. Most of the conversation were similar to this one - As a metro car was letting people on  with mostly blacks , a few whites, a group of four or five black male teens boarded , took their seats, dress as most teens today,  about 15 - 17 years of age,  soon a conversation started among themseleves with a lot of loud four letter curse words, for a while no one said anything to the group, then a white women said excuse me, do you have to use such foul lanauge,?, the teen who was speaking the most quickly directed his foul speech at her saying : What in the f --- you have getting your white m...f..... b--- ass into our conversation?,  some others with  him join in cursing at the women, the women got up, pulled the metor car line, I'm not sure what its called,  it atlerts the metro of  trouble on the car, when the metro stop the teens left, soon several metro police came aboard and got information from the lady, and left, as the car assumed its trip, another young man who was sitting near the white women told her that she should have ignored the teens because she had  done no good but, to cause him to be late for his next stop, a few others on the train join in saying  the women was wrong and should have mine her own business  adding, it shows that their parents did not raise the teens right and you can't in the few minutes you are on a train, one lady came to the womens defense, but most felt that she could have made a bad situation worse. I wonder about each side and was glad I do not use public transportation often .

Something has to be done to keep the trains running without disrespecting other riders, one person in our conversation said what goes around comes around, some of those young teens grandparents were mistreated worse, often by whites when they rode buses. My mom would say: Two wrongs don't a make right. I wonder how long before respecting each other, might become a norm, no time soon it appears. IIlmanner teens/people, cursing in public or doing worse is getting out of control, finding a way to advance getting along with each other needs to be a focal point that starts at home, making excuses or ignoring bad behavaior seems to be welcoming defeat, Metro may have to do more if it wants to keep riders on it's train without them having to deal with insults and loud cursing.

Do you remember?, when Perry Mason would end the show with someone breaking down on the witness stand and telling the truth, I'm aging myself . What is it today with so many people being able to look the camera and people in the eye with a sencere face and LIE?. Lying is making it hard to trust in people,  here are some sad, sad liers, to name a few O.J., I did not murder my wife, Bill, I did not have sex with that women, Bush, Iraq has wmd and is a current threat to our country, and now another sad  one the Rocket arm Clemens, I have not use illegal drugs.

This does not include the long list of people, some who are caught in the act on video engaging in a crime, that's not me, I did not do it. I can understand some people lying about sneaking a chocolate snack, jay walking, or not mailing a bill on time, but these major lies of murder, sex and drugs come on Clemens, yes you are innocent until proven guilty, but in the real, real world you are going to be guilty ask  O.J., and others so get a real life, admit your wrong, speak the truth before it hurts you more.

 A few years ago the headlines might have read Mike Tyson gets 3 years for procession of drugs. What this country badly needs is a fair sentecting act for all people. Mike can thank the mostly white females that have gotten caught with illegal drugs doing the past few years for his light 24 hours in jail, the spot light cast on  those, some who served a few hours, make it hard to give more time to Mike Tyson or most anyone other then those who still live in the worse part of the cities and can not afford good lawyers, don't think that I'm for letting drug users or anyone else off who breaks laws,  I'm for making laws for all people the same for like crimes.

I heard that some man got 52 years for raping his wife,  someone gets 7 years for fraud of millions of dollars, another gets 20 years for robbery of a few thousand dollars. When are we going to have crimes that we all know one will have to serve in a fair manner way. We all know if we pull into Exxon or BP what we will pay the same for a gallon of gas, its written in big bold letters, if we don' t  want to pay we find another station, or seek metro or walk.

Crime sentences need to be the same or near same for like crimes, 52 years for rape, is wrong,  all due respect to the ladies, 7 years for stealing millions is wrong, and 20 years for robbery is wrong. . Here's one breif way, how it should work, any man rapes his wife,  if he has no other record/crime, a first time offense should equal 7 - 12 years probation  with 2-3 years of mental help, a second time would mean 15 - 20 years in jail. The only time a person gets 52 years is if he takes a persons life.   When we have time that fits the crime and do it instead of giving folks twenty years and they are out in 7 or 10 ,  its wrong, everyone who gets time should have to serve eighty per cent before they can get out. Any first offense except for rape, assault with a weapon, or  murder could get get probation with some time in a program for help,  all second offense would have to serve time for like crimes - robbery of less then $1000.00 equal 3-7 years, robbery with a weapon of the same amount equal 7-12 years,  rape equals 12 - 15 years, rape with weapon 15- 20 years, murder while driving drunk equal 8-15 years,  murder 25- life. I'm not saying these are the only just times,  we need a fair standard like some of this, that all know, so we can not hide justice for some and pick and choose who to throw the book at. A standard that is known with no back room dealing for all that is fair out front and upheld is what we need.

I was driving down H street NE, a few weeks ago looking at the store-fronts trying to see if I saw posters we had ask store owners to display in their windows, it was early and most stores had the metal security gates down so I could not see much, some  stores were we had place the 8 1/2 x 11 poster were missing, I felt let down, knowing the effort and work put into the poster's, my 14 year old, his friend and I had walked Geogia Avenue and H street on weekends to post the posters. I'm not sure why some owners had refuse the posters. One owner of a beauty salon on Georgia Avenue, who had a large window about twenty feet long near a strip lounge, did not want it in her window, other's  took or let us place it in their widows proudly, I had wonder knowing the words and photo's  on our poster might not do a lot of good in changing the code of not snitching, I knew the adds that filled many neighborhoods areas windows, advertising smoking,beer, liquor, beauty and strip clubs, seem to pay off, so maybe our poster might help in some small way.  When I got pass 8th and H st, going toward North Capitol, I looked over to my right and saw the poster  proudly displayed in the window of a small catering company, it made my day!,  if you would like to view or print the poster check my site and do so, and by the way you would want a snitch if someone murder your_______ , honestly you would.    snitchonmurder.com
