This ISN'T NEW TECHNOLOGY! Water injection was used in WWII era fighter planes on all sides. The junk you are referring to is bogus.

Lemme see.... I decided to go back to part time consulting to pay for gas. I plan for only 2 trips per week outside the work drive from Sterling to DC. I keep my 1.8 turbo Jetta well tuned, and had it re-chipped. I add 2 cups of lacquer thinner to each fill up of gas as it increases the octane rating. This also helps keep the injectors clean too.

Much of the rise has been political/economic in nature, not a real shortage. The lazy-azz rag-heads in Opec are holding down production too. Notice that when the US moved toward drilling on our own soil that the price started dropping???

Solutions?

1. cut all political ties and support for the Saudi Gov't., allowing the citizens to remove and kill the royal family.
2. Drop all foreign aide to everybody except Israel.

3. Build 25 new refineries on US Soil!

4. Develop methods to drill full time in the artic.

5. Alter the methods of transportation of goods and raw resources by quadrupling the rail system, and reducing truckers roles to JUST delivery from rail center to local towns and factories. AND Modify the locomotives to be JUST electric powered from overhead cantinary, powered by nuke plants. A by-product is that the truckers will NOT be going cross country, falling asleep and killing people. They will be forced to get girlfriends closer to home.....
