One of the bloggers on this site has chosen to filter responses that are posted on his/her blogs for appropriateness prior to allowing the rest of us to read those responses. This person will determine what's appropriate as per his/her guidelines and if a comment doesn't meet those guidelines, none of us get to read them although they may be of interest to some.

Look, people can do what they want on their blogs, but hey, this is just a public website where people share comments, ideas, suggestions and the like. And I'm sure that many read these blogs just for entertainment purposes. Sometimes we agree with each other and sometimes we don't. And I believe that the majority of us are o.k. with that. But to go through placing comments in a holding pattern, reviewing them, and then releasing them once they've been approved seems to be a lot of work.  If that is going to be the procedure, then maybe this person should have their own private site where they can list what's considered "appropriate content" including words, opinions, etc. and anyone who desires to post a comment  would know what's allowed and what's not.

Not a sermon, just a thought.

I am on board with your thoughts as I accept any comments, do not use filters, nor do I have time to filter through all comments, as you stated this seems very time consuming and why would anyone who is blogging want to go through this step is beyond me as I thought that is what the Web Admin does, filter for language and such, right. I never click that button that asks if I want to approve comments prior to posting as I think it is a waste of time as I do not agree with every poster, but I do not delete comments either, Freedom of Speech in a public setting is how I see it. Thanks for your thoughts as I too think your way.

you've been bit by that blogger's habits and personality also "reality" ...stand in line they've been doin' it since back in May when they joined ...you'll notice in near three months that blooger has been pretty much a party of one ...most have simply decided to ignore them ...but FOX wants to continue entertaining this party so we're stuck until something changes with FOX with noticin' this person's blog posts and pass them by... makes it a bit embarrasing for them to hear nothing back but the echo of their own voice I'd think ...

I wouldn't ever want to bother with filtering comments. I'll delete comments if they are so bad that they need to be deleted, but certainly not because someone didn't agree with my opinion on a subject.
