Maybe it's just me, but what's the point of reporting the price of gas on each and every news cast??..I think we ALL have driven or rode past a gas station at least once a day and saw the prices. Reporters go out every single day to gas stations and ask the same questions; "What do you think of the gas prices?", "How are the prices affecting your daily life?", "What are you doing differently because of the high prices of gas?". Look, until it affects someone of importance, nothing's going to be done. I've not heard one congressman/senator, gas station owner, grocery store manager, etc. offer any sort of relief plan for the continued rise in gas prices. Well, let me correct myself. Yeah, mass transit is an option, but that too can be expensive if you choose to travel by Metrorail. Especailly when you don't live near a Metro station. You then must drive to the station, pay for parking and then pay for the Metro ride.
So, those who can afford to fill their gas tanks & buy those foods that have increased in price due to the gas prices will continue to do so. And those who cannot afford the aforementioned will sacrifice and/or do whatever they can to make it through the day. Will the news stations stop reporting this?. No. However, for those who are affected on a daily basis, It's SOOO frustrating to hear this news every day.
