The Dallas Cowboys will only improve once they 'clean house'. With the exception of Marion Barber and Jason Witten, they have nobody who matters.

And keeping Wade Phillips is only an advantage to  all the other NFC East teams...

I guess Dallas owner Jerry Jones sure got his money's worth -- T.O., Pacman, Roy Williams -- all to the rescue. Not. Seems there is alot more to a successful team than talent. But Jerry Jones  just doesn't get it. And I heard he says he's going to keep Wade Phillips next year -- the most uninspiring coach in all of football -- good news for opponents.

The Dallas Cowboys are who we thought they were -- perennial December loosers. They're all mirrors and smoke...

I'm glad Barack Obama won the election. He's the right person for the job.

But I'm also glad to see John McCain get out from under his smarmy campaign handlers (he should be irate that they wasted 3 weeks on Bill Ayers when the economy got the traction). McCain has always been a good man. That got muddled during this campaign. When he was 'off-duty' - the Smith dinner, the WTC memorial, and SNL - he was his old self. In his congradulatory speech, I could see the good man...

Whoever started the rumor that another round of tax rebates would help the economy should look at the failure of the last round of rebates. It was only a short-term 'bump' for the economy. And it put our economy in greater debt. The cost-benefit with this effort was dismal. It seems pretty irresponsible to have another round. And we desperately don't need more debt.

I don't know the details, but it seems to me that a federal rebate to states for lifting the sales tax temporarily would certainly get more money flowing. And it would be available to all Americans, something usually reserved for the wealthy.
