     Dear Friends:   A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an email with a few points. I need to explain why I will not be voting for Obama.. Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads, I follow. I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second.   200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.   In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few. We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.  I don't know Obama, so all I can go off of, is his voting records.  His voting records earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.  To beat Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing.  Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years.  I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with! 
There is a reason planned parenthood gives him a 100 % rating.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. LOVE him!
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court.
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion.
There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.
Lets take a look at the practice he wanted to continue. The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure.  
A). Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps. (Remember this is a live baby) 
B). The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
C). The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head.
D). The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
E). The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed. God help him!
There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law. Think about this: you can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.
There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years. Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright's sermons. I wonder why now? Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 - 20:  'Go and make disciples of all nations.' This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you, talk like you believe what you believe etc.
The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him? Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a:  
1). Commitment to the White Community; 
2). Commitment to the White Family; 
3). Adherence to the White Work Ethic; 
4). Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community; 
5). Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions;  
6). Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System;  
7). Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System. 
Would you support a President who went to a church like that? Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama's former church. 
If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist.  Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside. This kind of church is a racist church.
Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church! The church can't be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world! A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if its a white church or a black church, it's still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this, would never get my vote! Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation.
Cone once wrote: 'Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community.  If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.'
Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this? So what does all this mean for the nation?  
Here is what we know for sure. God is not schizophrenic He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God..
I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it. For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four supreme court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you. I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this. I know I can look the other way because of the economy. I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation:  
1). Whose value system should be placed on the nation? 
2). Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

Barack Hussein Obama has taken the nation by storm.  From obscurity, with zero executive experience, or much of any kind, he has vaulted into the position of Presidential frontrunner.  It is stunning.  On the surface, it appears attributable only to his eloquent oratory and his race.  But an invisible factor may be a strong spiritual force behind him, causing some people to actually swoon in his presence.
 
I have been very concerned that he has publicly said that he does not believe Jesus is the only way to heaven.  This makes both the Bible and Jesus a liar, and it means that Christ has died in vain.  A person cannot be a true Christian who believes that there are other ways of forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life with God.  Only Jesus has paid the price for that.  He also made fun of some of the scriptures in  OUR Bible.
 
Therefore, there is, indeed, another spirit involved.  And this spirit has come into our national life like a flood.  Last week at Obama's 20 acceptance speech, that spirit exalted itself in front of a Greek temple-like stage, and to a huge audience like in a Roman arena.  Obama was portrayed as god-like.  His voice thundered as a god's voice.
 
At the end, Democratic sympathizer Pastor Joel Hunter gave the benediction and shockingly invited everyone to close the prayer to their own (false) gods.  This was surely an abomination, but it was compatible with Obama's expressed theology, and Hunter's leftist leanings.
 
God was not pleased.
 
And God says, "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)
 
Enter Governor Sarah Palin.  With incredible timing , the very next day, Sarah Palin also appeared out of nowhere.  Her shocking selection as John McCain's running mate stunned the world and suddenly took all the wind out of Obama's sails.
 
We quickly learned that Sarah is a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian, attends church, and has been a ministry worker.
 
Sarah is that standard God has raised up to stop the flood.  She has the anointing.  You can tell by how the dogs are already viciously attacking her.  But they will not be successful.  She knows the One she serves and will not be intimidated.
 
Back in the 1980s, I sensed that Israel 's little-known Benjamin Netanyahu was chosen by God for an important end-time role.  I still believe that.  I now have that same sense about Sarah Palin.
 
Today I did some checking and discovered that both her first and last names are biblical words, one in Hebrew the other in Greek:
 
Sarah.  Wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac.  In Hebrew, Sarah means "noble woman" (Strong's 8283).
 
Palin.  In Greek, the word means "renewal." (Strong's 3825).
 
 Only God knows the future and how she may be used by Him, but may this noble woman serve to bring renewal and inspiration to our land.          McCain * Palin '08

Sen. Barack Obama “is lying” when he insists that he has never prayed in a mosque and was never a Muslim, a prominent Middle East expert and journalist says.

Daniel Pipes, founder of the Middle East Forum think tank, says he fully accepts that Obama is a Christian now. But there is strong evidence that Obama received a Muslim upbringing during his years in Indonesia, Pipes said.

“It’s fine with me that he was a Muslim and a convert to Christianity,” Pipes told Newsmax. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal “is a convert from Hinduism. I have no problem with his conversion. What I have a problem with is that he’s lying” when he says he was never a Muslim.

Newsmax asked whether Pipes is alleging outright that Obama has lied about having a Muslim upbringing.

Pipes’ response: “The evidence suggests to me that he is lying, yes.”

Pipes told Newsmax, “It would start with the fact that his father was a Muslim — granted, not a practicing Muslim, but in the Muslim world, if your father is a Muslim, you’re a Muslim. His father named him Hussein, which is a name only given to Muslim babies. He went with his stepfather to a mosque. They celebrated certain Muslim holidays at the mosque together. He had knowledge of the Koran. He had knowledge of Muslim prayers. You put all this together, he was a Muslim.”

Pipes contends that a Nov. 12 post on Obama’s Web site headlined, "Barack Obama Is Not and Has Never Been a Muslim," stated: "Obama never prayed in a mosque. He has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian."

Today, that post bears the same headline, but does not include an assertion that Obama “never prayed in a mosque” and “has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim.”

The page now bears a quote Obama made during the Jan. 15 debate on MSNBC: “In the Internet age, there are going to be lies that are spread all over the place. I have been victimized by these lies. Fortunately, the American people are, I think, smarter than folks give them credit for.”

The current post, which includes links intended to debunk any Muslim connection, is headlined “Obama Has Never Been A Muslim, And Is a Committed Christian”.

Several media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, have reported on Obama’s schooling in Indonesia, where he lived from 1967 to 1971, which included Muslim religious studies.

It is known, for example, that Obama’s designation as a Muslim while attending a Catholic school may have simply reflected the fact that his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, was Muslim.

Still, Obama was grouped with Muslim students at the school and engaged in weekly religious studies, including studying the Koran and learning Muslim prayers.

In 1970, Obama’s family moved and he was enrolled in a public school where children such as Obama who were identified as Muslim spent two hours a week studying Islam. [Editor's Note: Read the Los Angeles Times report on Obama's Muslim upbringing -- Click Here Now.]

A March 2007 Chicago Tribune article by Kim Barker, which stated several accounts had “distorted the reality” of Obama’s years in Indonesia, reported that he did irregularly attend Muslim prayer services at the local mosque.

Obama’s third-grade teacher at the Catholic school, Fermina Katarina Sinaga, told Barker that Obama accompanied his stepfather to pray at the mosque, doing so “rarely.”

Pipes said Barker’s story bolsters his position that Obama was raised as a Muslim while he lived in Indonesia. His accounts of Obama’s upbringing have received a “very severe reaction from the left” and threats from some Muslims, he said.

“The Islamists murmur and threaten,” Pipes said, declining to specify the threats he has received.

Pipes sees a whopping double standard in how the mainstream media has reported on Obama’s past.

“It’s been quite fascinating to watch the careful picking over of Sarah Palin’s record, down to her library policies as mayor of Wasilla, and her possible false pregnancies, and so forth, an analysis that involved excruciating details in her case.”

He contrasts that to the “the general pass” the media has given Obama, whether over his career in the Illinois Senate, the Annenberg library papers, or his upbringing in Jakarta. Pipes said his reports have “simply been dismissed as untrue without any facts to counter it.”

The McCain campaign “has been very cautious about looking into Barack Obama at all,” said Pipes, adding that the GOP has demonstrated a general reluctance to raise questions about Obama’s past.

Pipes has posted four articles on his Web site, “DanielPipes.org”, defending his view that Obama was a Muslim. The articles include the assertion that “for some years (Obama) had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian stepfather.”

As a measure of the interest in Obama’s background, Pipes’ articles have attracted close to half a million hits. One point of contention they raise: When someone is born of a Muslim father, do Muslims automatically consider him a Muslim?

A group of more than 50 scholars recently posted a statement on tabsir.net, a Web site dedicated to fostering an understanding of Islam, that seeks to refute that assertion. The statement maintains that distortions about Obama’s past are “part of an Islamophobic hate campaign that fuels prejudice against Americans who practice their Islamic faith and Muslims worldwide.”

Their statement says, “The vast majority of Muslims accept the Qur’anic message that there is no compulsion in Islam. Since Senator Obama was not raised as a Muslim, he cannot be held accountable for the religious status of his father.”

That assertion sounds logical to Western ears, but Pipes’ rejects it flatly.

“There is no doubt: It is a fact in Islam that the religion passes on through the father,” he told Newsmax. “And yet it’s denied as a falsehood by people who know better. They know better. It’s Islam 101.”

Supporting Pipes on that point is Shireen K. Burki, an adjunct professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington. Burki, who spent her childhood studying Islam at a school in Islamabad, Pakistan, has first-hand experience as the daughter of a Muslim father and a Christian mother.

“According to Islamic jurisprudence,” she wrote in a May article in the Christian Science Monitor, “children of a Muslim father — even an apparently nonpracticing one, such as Obama’s father, and irrespective of the mother’s faith — are automatically Muslims. Most Muslims around the world agree: A child of a Muslim father is a Muslim. Period.”

Given that Obama’s profession of Christianity is essentially uncontested, one might wonder whether it really matters whether Obama once was Muslim.

To many of the world’s approximately 1.4 billion Muslims, it apparently would matter a great deal. Experts on Islam generally agree that someone who is born a Muslim (in effect, someone who had a Muslim father), who later renounces Islam, is considered an apostate.

Burki writes, “Should Obama become U.S. commander in chief, there is a strong likelihood that al-Qaida’s media arm, As-Sahab, will exploit his background to argue that an apostate is leading the global war on terror (read: attacks against fellow Muslims). This perception would be leveraged to galvanize sympathizers into action.”

She suggests the apostate tag would be a powerful propaganda weapon that al-Qaida could wield to marginalize America’s Middle East allies, causing “enormous difficulties” in the war against terror.

Bernardine Dohrn is the Director of Children and Family Justice Center at the Northwestern University, a law professor at Northwestern University Law School. Obama Gets His Start In Ayers’ Home Although Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) ini tially told reporters that Ayers was just a guy who lived in the same neighborhood – and that he barely knew him – facts have emerged showing this to be untrue. It now appears that Obama has known Ayers and Dohrn since at least 1987. Ayers was an activist at the time with the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools, and Obama’s Developing Communities Project was a member of this leftist alliance. There are also possible connections between Obama and Dohrn through the law firm of Sidley & Austin. Dohrn was at this firm from 1984-1988. Michelle Obama also worked at Sidley & Austin, beginning in 1988. She met Barack at Sidley & Austin when he came on as a summer associate. In 1995, Obama was introduced to Ayers and Dohrn by Illinois state Senator Alice Palmer who had hand-picked Obama to replace her in the Senate. Palmer was a well-known Communist sympathizer and decades-long supporter of the Soviet Union. Ayers and Dohrn held Obama’s first political fundraiser in their living room to help launch his political career. In addition, Bill Ayers founded the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Foundation, and Obama became the chairman of the board of this group only months after his first run for political office. While serving on this foundation, Ayers and Obama distributed millions of dollars for educational projects. Ayers described his views on education as socialist indoctrination in an interview he gave to the Communist publication, Revolution in October, 2006. Ayers says that education can’t be separated from politics – and applauded John Dewey’s socialist policies that have so greatly influenced public education. In 1997, Obama’s wife Michelle invited Ayers to be on a panel discussing racism and the juvenile justice system. Ayers was joined on the panel by Barack Obama, a senior lecturer at the time at the University of Chicago law school. Michelle was working as Associate Dean of Student Services an d Director of the University Community Service Center. The Obama-Ayers-Dohrn connection extends to their involvement in the Woods Fund of Chicago. This foundation is involved in community organizing, arts and culture and working with low-income individuals and housing issues. This multi-million dollar enterprise is aided by grants from numerous leftist foundations, including the infamous Tides Foundation, Trinity United Church of Christ (where Obama attended church for 20 years), and ACORN, the notorious corrupt organization that routinely engages in voter fraud – and was involved with Obama in forcing banks to make risky loans to unqualified applicants. Obama’s Palestinian Terrorist Friend Ayers is a board member of the Woods Fund and Obama also served on the board. In 2002, the fund gave a grant to the Northwestern University Law School Children and Family Justice Center where Ayers’ wife, Bernadine, was employed. Also serving on the Woods Fund board was a Palestinian activist named Rashid Khalidi, who is now a Columbia University professor. Khalidi was the former spokesman for Islamic terrorist Yasser Arafat. Khalidi was instrumental in having Iranian’s tyrannical president, Mahoud Ahmadinejad, come to Columbia University last year to give his anti-American, anti-Israel speech. Obama and his wife Michelle and Khalidi and his wife were close friends. Leaders of this foundation donated more than $24,000 to Obama’s political campaign in Illinois. Obama once said of Khalidi and the meals and discussions they shared together were “consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases. … It’s for that reason that I’m hoping that, for many years to c ome, we continue that conversation — a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid’s dinner table,” but around “this entire world.” Khalidi is rabidly anti-Israel and repeatedly accuses American officials of being “Zionist” stooges. On television today a Democratic operative pointed out that when Obama holds a rally

25,000-30,000 people show up, whereas when McCain holds one he only draws 10,000-15,000.

The Republican spokesman replied, 'That's because McCain's supporters are at work.'

Barack Obama is running as fast and as far away from his association with the radical group ACORN as he can, but he can’t hide from the facts of his close relationship with the organization.

 

ACORN, or Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, describes itself as a “non-partisan” group devoted to helping the poor and to registering millions to vote. Critics accuse ACORN of involvement vote fraud, voter intimidation, shakedowns against businesses, and the promotion of socialist class hatred and class warfare.

 

 

Apparently worried by the connection between Obama and the group, his campaign has put claims of his ties to ACORN as the lead item on its “Fight The Smears” Web site — a site the Obama campaign created to counter what they claim are partisan lies made up against their candidate.

The release on the Obama site reads: “When Obama met with ACORN leaders in November, he reminded them of his history with ACORN and his beginnings in Illinois as a Project Vote organizer, a nonprofit focused on voter rights and education. Senator Obama said, ‘I come out of a grassroots organizing background. That's what I did for three and half years before I went to law school. That's the reason I moved to Chicago was to organize.

 

“So this is something that I know personally, the work you do, the importance of it. I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

 

Indeed, Obama was being far too modest. The 2008 Democratic presidential nominee had worked not just alongside ACORN, but also as a key operative for the organization.

 

He was its lawyer in several pivotal ACORN cases.

 

Obama funded a number of its activities, as well. When he sat on the board of the prestigious Woods Fund for Chicago alongside former Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers, he oversaw and approved many grants for ACORN.

 

As the National Review’s Stanley Kurtz reported, one Woods committee report boasted that the fund’s “non-ideological” public image “enabled the Trustees to make grants to organizations that use confrontational tactics against the business and government ‘establishments’ without undue risk of being accused of partisanship.”

 

Obama was the Illinois director of ACORN’s controversial voter registration operation, and he trained the group’s leaders in the ways of radical, sometimes illegal, confrontational politics.

 

He also paid ACORN affiliates during his recent Democratic primary contest. For example, leading up to the 2008 Ohio Democratic Primary, Obama’s campaign between Feb. 25 and March 17 paid Citizens Services, Inc., a subsidiary of ACORN, $832,598, apparently for get-out-the-vote activities.

 

Obama’s mysterious, shrouded past as a “community organizer” is closely tied to ACORN, a group that supplies a large share of the Democratic Party political shock troops responsible for the party’s recapture of Congress in 2006.

 

ACORN has at least 350,000 dues-paying member families, and more than 800 chapters spread among at least 104 U.S. cities as well as in Canada, Mexico, Argentina, and Peru.

 

To outsiders, Obama’s “long service with ACORN led many of its members to serve as the voluntary shock troops of Obama’s early political campaigns — his initial 1996 State Senate campaign, and his failed bid for Congress in 2000,” wrote Kurtz. “With Obama having personally helped train a new cadre of Chicago ACORN leaders, by the time of Obama’s 2004 U.S. Senate campaign, Obama and ACORN were ‘old friends.’”

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California.  He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.  During the summer of 1981, after his second year incollege, he made a 'round the world' trip.  Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family.  My question - Where did he get the money for this trip?Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college.  When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York.  It is at this time he  wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry.  Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia?It's not cheap to say the least!   Where did he get money for tuition?
Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a
Community Organizer for $12,000 a year.  Why Chicago?  Why not New York? He was already living in New York. 

By 'chance'  he met  Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago.  Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year.  Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the
Arab-American Business and Professional Association'.  About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School.  Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School?  Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans?  After Law school, he went back to Chicago.  Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down.  But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner,Barnhill & Galland. Guess what?  They represented 'Rezar' which is Rezko's firm.  Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.  In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race.In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price).  With ALL those Student Loans -Where did he get the money for the property?  On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased.  Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President.  Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss.  She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first.  Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran!  Do we see a pattern here?  Or am I going crazy?
On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley, advisor to Obama, was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran.  This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that duringObama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.  

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan?  They are in charge of all those 'small' Internet campaign contributions for Obama.  Where is that money coming from?  The poor and middle class in this country?  Or could it be from the Middle East?  
And the final bit of news.  On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George
Stephanapoulos.  Obama on talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'.  When questioned, 'he made a mistake'.  Some mistake!

VP Debate Moderator Ifill Pens Pro-Obama Book
 

 

Gwen Ifill, the supposedly “impartial” moderator of Thursday’s vice presidential debate, is in fact the author of an upcoming book that expresses admiration for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Her book “Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama,” sheds “new light” on Obama and other “emerging young African-American politicians” who are “forging a bold new path to political power,” according to the official promo for the book, scheduled for release on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20.

Ifill, an anchor on the Public broadcasting Service program “Washington Week,” did not return a phone call from WorldNetDaily asking if her book’s success “would be expected should Obama lose,” WND reported.

But in an online video promoting the book, the African-American newswoman states that she is enthusiastic about “taking the story of Barack Obama and extending it.”

Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin expressed outrage over Ifill’s selection as moderator.

“Ifill and her publisher are banking on an Obama/Biden win to buoy her book sales,” she wrote.

“Try as she might to deflect questions about her impartiality, her biases — and her conflict of interest — are clear…

“My dictionary defines ‘moderator’ as the ‘nonpartisan officer of a town meeting.’ On Thursday, PBS anchor Gwen Ifill will serve as moderator for the first and only vice presidential debate…

“But there is nothing ‘moderate’ about where Ifill stands on Barack Obama. She’s so far in the tank for the Democrat presidential candidate, her oxygen delivery line is running out.”

Malkin pointed out that Ifill recently wrote a “fawning cover story” about Barack and Michelle Obama for Essence magazine.

And Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren reported that John McCain did not know about Ifill’s book and observed that the campaign “should have been told before the campaign agreed to have her moderate. It simply is not fair — in law, this would create a mistrial.”

The Obama camp has been threatening television and radio stations to keep them from airing anti-Obama ads.

The latest target is the NRA and stations in Pennsylvania.  

Earlier this week, the National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund released a series of radio and television spots to educate gun owners and sportsmen about Barack Obama's longstanding anti-gun record. In response to the NRA-PVF ads, a clearly panicked Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are doing everything they can to hide Obama's real record by mounting a coordinated assault on the First Amendment.

They have gone to desperate and outrageous lengths to try to silence your NRA by bullying media outlets with threats of lawsuits if they run NRA-PVF's ads.

 The Obama camp is particularly angry with an NRA ad entitled "Hunter" which lays out Obama's record on gun control.

 Other NRA ads include "Way of Life" and another focusing on Joe Biden's record, "Defend Freedom, Defeat Obama."

 This week, Obama's campaign general counsel Bob Bauer wrote seeking to censor the ads at stations in Pennsylvania.

 The NRA says Obama's camp are sending out these "intimidating cease and desist letters" to cable operators and television stations, threatening their FCC licenses if they run the ads.

 

The NRA charged that "Obama and the DNC have been using strong-arm tactics reminiscent of Chicago machine politics to try and cover up the truth and silence NRA by forcing the stations to assist them in hiding Obama's radical anti-gun record."

 NRA stands behind the accuracy of these ads, and NRA attorneys have responded to the Obama campaign's despicable and abusive attempt to trample on the First Amendment by sending a thorough rebuttal to station managers. This rebuttal clearly and conclusively refutes the Obama campaign's fallacious claims that the ads are inaccurate.

Why McCain Won the Debate

There is little question that John McCain “won” the first debate last night. Perhaps he lost on points (arguments) and style (how could he beat Mr. Smooth?), but McCain “won” over the audience, the only victory that counts.

 

Here’s what I saw and heard:

 

1. Any question that McCain is too old to run for office has been put to rest. He was sharp, on point and looked good, good enough, that is.

 

2. If the debate was held before the elite faculties of Harvard and Columbia, schools Obama attended, he would have won hands down. But this debate was held before the American public.

 

3. Obama was too smooth, too smart. Remember the “W. Factor.” Bush lost all the debates with John Kerry on style and substance. But Bush came across as more likeable. Ditto McCain.

 

4. Obama has a subtle, condescending speaking style. His hand gestures of constant pointing fingers, frequently raising his fingers to eye level, jabbing constantly, make’s one feel he’s lecturing us. Yes, Kennedy jabbed, but occasionally.

 

5. After, the debate I heard on a radio call in person say they listened to the debate on radio. Obama sounded like a professor. Bingo. Americans don’t elect professors president.

 

6. The debate opened on the economy. McCain should have scored much bigger points. He didn’t. He claimed Obama wanted to raise taxes. He should have rattled off specifics of Obama’s tax plan, including: removing the FICA tax cap, doubling the capital gains tax, increasing dividend taxes, letting the Bush tax cuts expire giving everyone an automatic tax increase, raising gasoline taxes, etc.

 

7. Obama also made some serious tactical mistakes. Twice in the debate he repeated the allegations of others, first saying he was “liberal” and later saying he was “naive.” Repeating labels is a no no.

 

8. McCain came across as authentic. This elusive quality is difficult to manufacture, and a key reason Obama can’t compete on this score. McCain smartly pointed out how Obama became a born again earmark and pork fighter – after he started running for president.

 

9. Obama came across as slick trying to making himself sound more moderate than his record demonstrates. He says he doesn’t really want to spend $800 billion on new programs; he really isn’t the most liberal member of the Senate; he doesn’t really want to meet with dictators like Ahmadinejad; and so on.

 

10. McCain demonstrated he doesn’t simply talk a good talk, but has walked the walk. He has been a long time enemy of earmarks. And he has been a fighter who has crossed the partisan divide time and again. Obama simply has no such record.

 

11. McCain’s strength was foreign policy. It showed. Obama did seem “naïve.” McCain won the “don’t meet with rogue leaders without preconditions” argument. Obama’s answers sounded like he was flip-flopping on his original statement.

 

12. On Iran, again one of the most contentious issues, McCain won because his comments grasped the gravity of the crisis.

 

13. Where McCain lost was on the Iraq war and the surge. Yes, McCain has been right on the surge and Obama has been wrong. But McCain came across as heavily invested in the idea of the war (creating a democracy in Iraq) and unwilling to flexibly respond to reality. Make no mistake about it: this is an unpopular war that is costing us a trillion dollars so far. On CNN I watched the audience meter as McCain talked about the war and its “success.” The meter showed Independent voters clearly tracking in “negative” territory, clearly in line with Democrats.

 

In sum, McCain had the most to lose from this debate. Obama is known as the great public speaker.

 

McCain did more than hold his own.

 

And most importantly he demonstrated several things that will resonate with voters.

 

First, he is ready on day one to be ready Commander in Chief.

 

Second, he can be trusted. His word is good.

 

Third, he is one of us.   :)

WOW... What another fine Example of a true leader at work.  Instead of putting Politics first hand,  he has made another Honorable decision to put " COUNTRY FIRST". 

This doesn't surprise me as he continually portrays his Leadership and Integrity and out of the box Maverick he is.  Talk about putting his priorities first that are true to his heart. 

Wow.. That's what I call a true American President at hand.

Obama claims that McCain is out of touch with Americans?  Hmmmm.. 

 When you go to a Political Event with a Price Ticket of $30,000.00 a plate, just who's out of Touch with the Majority Americans?

 We have Americans who are just getting by pay check to pay check, eating at home more often and sacrificing any extra's.

This just shows his mentality that it's not about American's, it's Only about his Celebrity Rehab Image.  If he really cared about all American's,  he would have donated all that money to the local "Community Organizers" he so fondly stands upon. (LMAO)  What a joke, what a liar, what a fake individual who cares less about America. 

In the meantime.... McCain and Palin are out doing what  true Presidential Candidate's do, which is going to Town Halls and talking to the people eating at the local diner and listening to concerns that Americans have. 

Beneath Obama's flowery rhetoric lies a dangerous economic plan that will wreak havoc on the American economy.

Obama plans to return to the failed policies of high taxation coupled with an expansion of government spending.

Worse, Obama says he is absolutely committed to almost doubling the capital gains rate — something he will easily accomplish with a Democrat Congress.

In the coming months — when investors realize that Obama will raise the cap gains rate — there could be a stampede of asset sales as investors rush to take their profits now to avoid Obama's doubling of the tax rates next year.

Common... where's the  logic and fundamentals he proclaims to offer the American People?  America wake up... !  His whole life is based on lies and deception and this is just another $30,000.00 per plate ticket to pass on to you!   Hope you enjoyed the meal.

Ever heard of the Bakken Oil Formation?

 

I did a search on Bakken starting with Wikipedia and apparently the info below is true. How it has remained silent during this period of oil costing up to $150 a barrel

is puzzling unless it's true about the Democrats stonewalling.

 

You don't even have to check with Scopes to see if this is true...Just put in 'Bakken Formation' on GOOGLE and stand by for the load of info that will descend on you! Snopes is somewhat evasive in a response.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oilmen/women knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota; western South Dakota; and extreme eastern Montana ... check THIS out:

 

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels.
