I have seen so many blogs for and against the various presidential candidates but it seem to me that we are losing out on what matters.  It seems like we with the media leading this cause, is focusing on superfluous things vice the issues. For example:

Obama:  Vote for him because he represents change.  My question is what does that change mean? If you are going to recite one of his speeches, that doesn't float and please spare yourself.  I think for this great position as President, we need something that's tangible. Besides, there have been many dictators, good and awful government leaders that were able to move the crowd with boisterous and smooth words only to fell or take their country in a direction that's worse (this country can always get worse).

McCain:  He's too old and he's like Bush.  What makes him like Bush, his color of his skin?   McCain seems to be more of an independent and doesn't seem to stand behind his Republican or Democratic Party.  It’s a toss to truly understand where he stands if we were to look at his voting record.

To me, we should be looking at the issues (e.g., economic/tax reform, healthcare, family and social, religious rights etc) of this country as a whole and seeing what each candidate will bring to the table. I’m not saying not to acknowledge the history making moment but let’s not lose site of the issues and how each candidate can address those issues.

The media needs to get back on track and to start focusing on both candidates vice one.  I don’t know about you but focusing so much attention on one candidate or announcing what celebrity is supporting who doesn’t faze me one way or the other.  I believe the media needs to focus on the issues of this country, what the candidates can do and most importantly their voting record.

Your thoughts!

I totally agree with you. The MEDIA.... is way over-board with this No-bama crap. The "Real" "Change" is leading down a Marxist society. Fidel told his people about change too. After the dust settled.. you don't have a voice you are controlled by the government regime. This is how they want to live? Where will we be taking our boats too? Not to mention all of his integrity issues.

McCain will and has presented more information of what needs to be done, as I KNOW for sure he is an American. He is not like Bush.. as he is his own person of character to stand behind.. He's wise, knowledgable and his leadership skills are exceptional. They are just trying to discourage others.. but it will all come out in the wash.. it always does.!

What is vice one?

Apparently, you wrote this after Obama gave his quite specific speech last night. I continue to hear people complain that the candidates are not specific. Well, Obama has been quite specific and so has his website. Obama gave a good layout of where he stood on numerous issues.

So, really it is time for people to wake up and pay attention and listen to the candidates. they have given their ideas and policies for all of those who understand English and pay attention. Be a responsible citizen. No one will arrive at your door to spoon feed you.

Milu you are totally off base and appear to be new to this entire political election process. When have just listening to a candidate (this includes McCain) is it. If you go back and look at history and the various candidates, you would see that many political figures (Republicans and Democrats) have made promises before being elected and then to get into that office they flip. They change and don't follow through with their promises. For the record, when you start basing your vote and using the candidate speeches as gospel, that's being spoon feed!!

Evidently, my2 cents, you haven't comprehended my full message as I also wrote "website". Pay attention. The websites give comprehensive information for the most part. It seems that you are quite off base as you didn't get my full message.

Also, why mention what they say now and do later? We all know that that is a regular feature of candidates and there is NOTHING that we can do about it except not vote again for them a second time or give them bad approval ratings. We have NO control or clairvoyance over that.

Milu, your blog is too funny.

The bottom line is to view the candidate's voting record. This record represents the candidate’s viewpoint/where they stand on issues.

I guess you are intimating that since I brought up a valid point: You popped off about me without comprehending my full message.
Please tell me what is so funny about my blog; so I will know if you are someone of substance or just another lightweight?

What is so funny about my blog? I think it is more like to focus on part of the message and don't respond to the valid points I have made. While you're at it (if you are of substance)tell me how I am off base. I find that a lot of people on these sites talk a lot but can't even clarify or give an example of what they are saying. The Talk is Cheap group.

I'm wating to find out how yo respond so that we will learn what category you are in!
