Michael Moore has a new movie that's coming out called "Sicko" on June 29, 2007.  Supposedly his movie will investigate the health care with an emphasis on the American pharmaceutical companies and the FDA.   When asked about his movie, Michael Moore said, "If people ask, we tell them 'Sicko' is a comedy about 45 million people with no health care in the richest country on Earth."

First of all, I’m all for exposing the truth but in an unbiased manner. I think when presented with the facts; people are able to make up their own mind about an issue.

What do you think Mr. Moore’s film will produce? Do you think he’ll follow that slogan of “Fair and Balance” reporting?  What are your thoughts?

Moore is far from fair and balanced.

What is sick is promoting a plan where the government controls health care. That's sick.

Get ready for an invasion of privacy never before dreamed.

I think everyone has gone nuts. I for one want to maintain my freedom from government intrusion concerning my health and lifestyle, which is why I will always vote for private doctors and private insurance.

Ok, I can't speak for Michael Moore but I certainly would like for EVERYONE to be able to receive quality healthcare. If it takes him making this movie to get peoples attention, then I say, do it. I really do have issues with the U.S. not providing all of its citizens healthcare. Grand Illy, I'm not sure if that means the Government controling healthcare but again, EVERYONE should have healthcare.

I agree with you KOKO. I personally can't stand Michael Moore. I think he is a big, fat, jerk, but I think it's important for those "with" to see what it is like for those of us "without". My husband has a job with a small company that would have to take a huge chunk out of my hubby's paycheck in order to get group insurance. They instead give a med-flex account of a certain amount and we can use it as necessary. We would love to be able to get private health insurance, but because of certain preexisting problems we can't. It's not right.(and we aren't talking MAJOR problems either)

As far as Grandilly's fears, there are MANY other countries who have government funded insurance and the citizens privacy is STILL protected. Just because someone else is paying for it, doesn't automatically give them the right to keep track of you. If that were the case then every company that provides health insurance for it's employees would have that right which is NOT the case.
Of course, considering how Mr. Bush has desecrated our Constitutional rights thus far, I wouldn't put ANYTHING past him.

Like I said earlier, I'm all for information exposure but my concern is how that information is manipulated to get others to come on your side or to believe your views. A lot of people don't or have the time to go out and research the truth. They take what he has to say and others with national platforms at face value.

The government has funded medical for years, along with food, dental, vision, and spending money for people with low income. The problem does not reside in the check income either. The problem exists in the price increase in our economy. A "tidal wave", if you will, that sets off a chain reaction.

An increase in realty has shown that. A realtor would like more money for a home they sell, and bob (the home owner) could use a couple extra bucks along with making the money back after what he puts into the home over several years thus, increases the home cost and decreases our paycheck worth. When will it end? where is the cap?

God Bless You Michael Moore!!!

If half of the American population had his courage to report the injustice of this country then a lot of problems would be solved.

When I was a kid, someone told me something I would never forget because it's more true now than it was back then.

That person told me:

"ROACHES LIKE IT WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE OFF...BECAUSE IT CAN HIDE THE MESS THEY'RE MAKING."

Thank you Michael Moore for clearing our vision. "Fahrenheit 9/11" was a classic. I hope "Sicko" will see just as much success. May it also expose hidden evils and raise the awareness of the people that are being screwed over.

Taco bandit, I have a question for you. Do you have any idea what the income limit is for a family of 3 to get insurance for the ADULTS in the family? It's $600 a month, give or take! Yes, the government gives insurance to lower income families for the children, but what happens if the parents get sick? TOO BAD is what the government says.
So unless you decide to figure out a way of NOT working so that the government will pay for your healthcare, your screwed!

Nessiemonster,

Well hell, that puts us out, My family house hold makes 2400.00 a month. Of course, with 2400 devided by 600.00 (per 3)welp, i guess that makes 12 people in our house but, nope, wait, we ate our uncle Frankie last week for dinner. That only makes eleven. Do we still get the insurance coverage?

Sincerely,
The TACO_BANDIT
