This what they left behind...all the whiners and complainers...Fox watching over our soldiers. I do not recall anything bad in that blog. IT certainly was not a personal attack it was fair game...he/she made the annoucement and is stil writing blogs.

I am a Democrat and liberal. I support Barack Obama for president. This blogger came to MyFoxDC to grow and to better understand other’s points-of-view in this diverse country called America. Ideally, I wish that the blogosphere could be an environment that allows a “respectful” free flow of thoughts and opinions without name-calling and lambasting those that disagree.

It has come to my attention that a fellow blogger, li’ly3, is leaving this site due to his inability to bring about change as he saw fit. I think a democracy remains healthy when its citizenry has the ability to discuss diverse opinions and issues, openly, without fear of reprimand and persecution. li’ly3 offered his opinion based on his life’s experience, as we all do. For those who know him through this site, we understand that he can be quite strident and coarse in stating his positions and that’s okay. However, I think it is more affective to make any argument with respect and supported by facts. One may not agree with you, but one will be more open to consider your opinion when this is done.

This blogger believes that li’ly3 offered a point-of-view that is dated and more often caustic, but worthy to be heard as any other opinion. Towards the end of Y3Y3’s tenure, he and a few other bloggers on this site shutdown the ability to leave comments on their opinions. It appears to me that this action contradicts this experiment called the blogosphere. I hope that this exercise of free speech will continue, unfettered by unilateral and clo
