I know  I am late on this  cause I have been on storm coverage  but  I  thought  Sarah Palin  did an  EXCELLENT  job  the other night.  Especially when you realize what an outsider she is compared to Biden.  Very cleark concise answers.  For what it's  worth!

She did better than I thought, but check out factcheck.org -- she made many blunders in her facts, more than Biden. But for a newbie and considering the interviews, she did better. It seems she has trouble on those "follow up" questions. If McCain was going to choose a woman, I think Kay Bailey Hutchinson would have been a better choice (even if she says she wasn't interested -- when asked, who is going to say no). And if he wanted to be a real Maverick, he would have picked Ron Paul to bring the party back together. Just my opinion.

The lady made Biden look like the botoxed, hair plugged, fake smiled greasy backroom political crook that he is. The lies were coming out of his mouth so fast it was hard to keep up with them.

The Bad Americans in this country will always find some way to denigrate this fine woman while rationalizing their vote for the Party of Death so when it comes right down to it Palin and Biden were only talking to the "undecided". I think after the debate most of them have decided they' rather have the lady than the tramp.

Rumor has it that the Pope is going to excommunicate Biden and Pelosi just before the election. Too bad Palin didn't mention the Vatican's sanction against Biden in the debate. I'd like to have seen him try and squirm his way out of that one.

She may be a fine woman, but she is not vice presidential material. I think once she gets a grip on some of the global issues and the economy, she will make a good presidential candidate some day. But we cannot afford for someone to have on-the-job training right now. Country is too messed uup. I think it is pretty degrading as a woman that McCain has kept her cloistered like a nun, and felt like he needed to control the Couric follow-up interview. Couric asked her a question and McCain felt like he had to talk and then said, but "I'll let her talk." And we don't need a VP with more constitutional powers. That was actually a frightening thought considering how far Cheney went with the limited authority he is supposed to have (i.e., breaking ties in the Senate is supposed to be his only job officially.).

Hey Lanny.

I was at a debate watch party that night and I missed like the first 30 minutes because the guy couldn't get his equiptment working properly. (So frustrating!)

While she handled herself better than presumed, I still just can't imagine her being our back-up commander-in-chief. Yikes. And again I didn't hear any solid plans which they should have for all of these promises they are making. I didn't hear any 'hows' or whys' or 'whens' or 'whos'.

I agree with PBMom he should've picked Ron Paul. Now there's a guy with some tangible plans, not just blowing a bunch of smoke you know where. But poor Ron got demediatized and most folks didn't even know whether he was even still in the race, then he just sort of fizzled out.

ps: I love what you've been doing on-location post-Ike. It must be very rewarding to get to help people out by keeping us all posted on where the greatest needs are and what we can do to help. Good work.

On the job training?? ON THE JOB TRAINING??
Are you kidding me??? What the HELL kind of training does Obama have? And he's going for the TOP JOB? PLEEEEEEASE

I think Palin has more experience with foreign policy than Obama. Like it or not, she has had to deal with more international matters than he, considering Alaska's proximity to Russia and other countries, and the international waters her state faces. That's a lot for a governor, esp when a President can barely comprehend the complexities of it!!

I thought she did very well considering she's a relative 'newbie' at all this..and Biden is an 'old timer'. And frankly, I think we need a 'newbie' in the office, even if it is the VP. I fear Obama will be a puppet, just like Bush is, for his VP if he's elected.

PB&J Mom doesn't mind if the radical Black Muslim/Afrocentric weirdo practices trying to be a THE world leader on the job in a time of WAR and CRISIS but god forbid this normal woman get anywhere near the White House.

There are no words to describe the despair I feel for my country knowing these people can vote.

I-Right-I

Great response. I couldn't have said (yelled?) it better myself minus a few racial slurs!

It's painfully obvious that the femi-nazis of the world hate Gov. Palin, and everything she stands for. They will justify their negative opinions about her, no matter how irrational, to forward their own cause - a mindless attempt to turn America into a godless, immoral society all in the name of "what can my country do for me."

This is a classic example: ". . . once she gets a grip on some of the global issues . . ." That is sickening in the breadth of its ignorance. And, where does Obama have that experience?

PB, please tell us where he has that experience....please? (I can challenge you here where you can't delete the post in cowardly defeat.)

Man look here I-wrong and purianicoal, reading yall comments give me the reason to know why the good Lord placed Obama in his position running against Gov. Palin and senator McCain. Palin cool but you know real well she's a little off in handling situations and not that intelligent speaking on issues. Yeah she prepared herself for the debate but ended without any plans of what is to come for us "Boss paid We slave" individuals. What kind of preparation is DAT? And what hurts me is to know the evil minds of those running along with republicans cause of the hate that still exist so strong between the color of an individual. You can hit me with whateva facts you have, just as well as someone could hit your Imperfect self! Black Muslim, Party of death, knowing these people can vote, You shoudn't be able to vote. Haven't spent a day in the low class community, pretty sure you don't even realize it exists! And PBMom is as real, sweet,& sincere as she can be on the blogs but you come at her sideways. I know wut cha all about and hopefully with Obama in office you will change your attitude towards, "these people." Checkmate!!

LOL! ARE you SERIOUS? She didn't answer any questions! The bar was set SO LOW for this exec from a state with roughly 1/8th of the city of Houston that her NOT setting herself on FIRE was considered a triumph.
FACT: Palin in her 18 months as governor never gave the Alaskan National gaurd ONE SINGLE ORDER! Being CLOSE to Russia makes one an expert on it? I took a whiz in Tijuana, Mexico after drinking a bunch of 25 cent Caronas back in 89. Does that make me an expert on Mexico?

Arch conservatives who are about to flame me for this post and question my intellect do me a favor: Give the Governor the names of a few Supreme Court decisions. Didn't a recent one INVOLVE the Exxon Valdez incident in..What's the name of that land mass next to Russia? OH yeah ALASKA! Give her the names of at least three news papers or News magazines. The Governor has a future in politics, but her time is not now.

Just one thing Dread... how many orders has Obama given a National Guard? You should let go of that one, IMHO

Skyder...being a governor with a state with a TOTAL POPULATION equivilent of 1/4 th of the city of Houston to me means much less than being the mayor of the city in which I live Population 2,075,000 (excluding incorporated areas). By your logic Bill White is qualifired to be president. You're right Skyder, being a Senator from a state of 12,000,000 people means nothing.
