     Well you guys have been posting your concerns  about Ike  this week  and  I have largely ignored them because I am so hurricane  weary.  Looking at the latest  tracks, however, I am beginning  to get worried  too.  November can't get here soon enough.  We need extremely  cool weather to hit our region  to protect us  from another massive  hurricane.

   It's all on our weather  tab.

I'm with you on this one, Lanny. I've lived in Baytown off and on since '72, staying put since '81. I had the privilege of experiencing Alicia's visit in '83 and I must say I am not looking forward to one of her 'relatives' to come calling again! To a native Californian who grew up on the Pacific coast (who now calls Texas home) I had never experienced anything of that magnitude - and would be lying if I said I look forward to another one!
