Lanny, you know that the clinton's are not even being nice enough to call B.H.O.a "n"word right now{LOL}.But one thing will be for sure they{clintons}will,no matter how much they hate him,do everything they can to get B.H.O. elected.God forbid the first woman president NOT be hillary, but worse a Republician.
Smart move John.

Panin's political experience is mostly Alaskan related. Not being a native Alaskan, or an Alaskan resident, the only picture I can get of her (other than through news articles) is through blogs and comments by readers in the Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Kodiak Alaska papers. She has a very high rating with them, and some are very upset at the idea of losing her as governor.

Nothing surprises me anymore. It seems that no one is looking for the best person to do the job on any level. All they want to know is what the public needs to hear to get them elected.

I worries me. If something happens to John McCain is she ready to be put in the shoes as our commander in chief? And the Republicans were screaming about Obama's lack of experience? She has even less.

But she is spunky.

I think it was a smart move for those Hillary voters who only were voting for her because she is a woman and not because of where she stood on issues.

An absolutely brilliant move. In one fell swoop, he swept a whole week of Obama's (aided by the media's help) thunder.

Palin is a dyed in the wool conservative, soccer mom, PTA member, NRA member, and she eats moose burgers. She wants to drill here drill now to bring down the price of fuel. Someone in the race IS NOT a Washington insider. She has a son in the military going to Iraq. She has a child with down's syndrome. She is one of us.

What would make this an even more brilliant move is if McCain announces he'll be a one termer and leave the office to her.

Dudester, she is a "Hockey Mom" not a soccer mom{LOL}.You left out that she also hunts and kills the moose that she rides snowmobiles{that is a motorcycle with skies and a tread{LOL},she is MIDDLE-CLASS,her husband is a commericial fisherman{so you know that they ain't rich}.Most imporant she has a proven track record for fighting right and wrong no matter which party is to blame.
PBMom,for the record Obama has NO EXPERIENCE at being President so how can she have LESS experience than that? But you are ready to vote for someone for PRESIDENT that has no more "experience"than she does.Just for the record except for J.F.K. how many times has a V.P. had to step in and take-over?

Truetexan: None of them have experience at being president because none of them have held the job. McCain's an old guy; he's had a history of cancer; he has a medical record that was voluminous of all his doctor visits. I worry about that. These are the times VP's stepped into the office of President:

John Tyler - on death of William H Harrison in 1841
Millard Fillmore - on death of Zachary Taylor in 1850
Andrew Johnson - on assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865
Chester Arthur - on assassination of James Garfield in 1881
Theodore Roosevelt - on assassination of Wiliam McKinley in 1901
Calvin Coolidge - on death of Warren G Harding in 1923
Harry S Truman - on death of Franklin D Roosevelt in 1945
Lyndon B Johnson - on assassination of John F Kennedy in 1963
Gerald R Ford - on resignation of Richard M Nixon in 1974

McCain is 72 and will kick the bucket soon. She has no experiance and that makes us set for Bust(BUSH) to run our country another 4 years. But on the other hand Obama Insane has no more than her.So here is our option, run to Canada like Katrina ran to Houston.Bad problem is they may not let us in. I for one only speak english so I can't go to another country and ask for refuge. At one time Texas was an independant country but no more.Maybe we should become a republic like we once was.God pray for us and the U.S.

Thanks PB for the vice presidential run down. Looking back, none were really bad presidents if I recall my history.
As for the inexperience, I'd rather have an in-experienced vp than president. At least the VP gets to see the lay out before stepping in to the spot light. Nothing like on the job training.
Re: McCain's health, hey if they can keep Dick Chaney alive with a mechanical heart, they can keep almost anyone alive.
I really do think McCain's health will serve him well.

LOL,They are only keeping him alive as long as he doesn't shoot another lawyer on a hunting trip.I think they have a remote on that pump that they can shut off if he has a gun in his hand

McCain committed political suicide.
Palin has NO Washington experience, NO foreign experience and if McCain kicks the bucket what kind of leader do we have to lead the Nation.
Admitted she has a charismatic personality, Did good as a Governor but with a population ranked only 47th in the Nation.

Ronald Reagan had no Washington experience.
And neither did Harry Truman. So what's your point/

If she is a conservative, how did her daughter get pregnant? I don't like that image for our white house. How is that going to look?

what the hell else is there to do in Alaska? I'll say this, they do seem to be brutually honest about everything. But yes, I am shocked as are most folks.

You are shocked ?????
Letting a school kid "put it around at 16"

We have lost respect as a Nation and now this.
If Palin can't take care of her own family, how can we have confidence she will take care of the affairs of the Nation????
McCain - Bad chess move.

what do you suggest........the Palins take her out and beat her on television. Have you never had an unexpected pregnancy in your entire family? It happens. you must not have any women in your family.

look, I said I was floooooooooored that mc cain tapped a woman to be is vp, let alone a nobody from alaska. But his people have done a thorough background check on her, and yes, her daughter is knocked up, and yes her husband was busted on a dwi in 1986 when he was 22. But if it's good enough for McCain, then it's good enough for the republican party. They have no choice!
And quite frankly, though I don't agree with everything reps do, I like her. She's sharp and steadfast in her beliefs. You gotta give it to her on that.

Many Hillary Supporters are insulted and think that McCain is simply attempting to pander to them. Many have said in interviews that the fact that Palin is pro-life and that Hillary and many of her supporters are pro-choice insults their collective intellect.
Also by McCain choosing the governor of Americas Ice box he removes the "experience horse" that the GOP has been riding low these many months. Saying "My opponent is inexperienced" and then picking a back up who is more inexperienced than he is looks a bit...well hypocritical. But that's just my opinion

Reagan spent us trillions into debt. Truman when he left office had abysmal approval ratings and Harry Truman was the Senator from Missouri for a minute before FDR chose him. I'm just in shock right now that FYinfo is attacking someone who the Christian right loves. Wow....I ...I need to sit down.
