I was upset with the death of the 14 yr old child in the police shooting in DC, but after sittting with some people in a restaurant and talking about this situation I have a new outlook about this. Unless you have done the job of a police officer you dont have the right to judge. When you are trained to act a certain way and are continually told that you are responsible for citizens 24 hrs a day it mentally changes you. they feel compelled to respond to any and all acts of crime as they were trained.  Its very upsetting that the department would not fully back up its officers in this situation. People say that he should have called the police and reported his bike stolen Duh he is the police. I dont think that his intentions was to shoot this child but to retrive his property I think that a bad police officer has a history of being a bad police officer. An officer with 22yrs of commended service shows differently. I have not  heard anything about the history of the teen. was he good student ? what does the neighbors say about him? its so much missing on both sides.

I wonder what plans does the mayor have for holding all dc govt. workers accountable for doing their job. I think that so much slacking has been allowed for so long and it needs to be addressed first before you can change anything. that is the problem with the school system. there needs to be an auditng of all agency and there needs to be quick changes of procurement . It should take no longer than 5 working days for any thing to be handled in response to maintenance  and school equipment and I think that the chancellor needs to implement a system to make sure that it functions that way. This not a hard task to accomplish.
