I thought this was too good not to pass on!  My kids always believed in Santa Claus, but I thought this version of Jesus and Santa was great!!

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh

JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year

JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies

JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited

JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa

JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap

JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too.

He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly

JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP

JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"

JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa's little helpers make toys

JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but

JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree

JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It's obvious there is really no comparison.

We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.

We need to put Christ back in Christmas.

Jesus is still the reason for the season.

May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2008

I got this in an email and it was just tooooo good not to pass on, and alot of it is so true for this day and age.  There's no time for fussing and arguing amongst ourselves!!

Letter  From Jesus Christ, concerning His birthday celebration:

It has come to my attention that many of you  are upset that folks are
taking My name out of the season. Maybe  you've forgotten that I wasn't
actually born during this time of the year.  Although I do  appreciate being remembered anytime.

How I personally  feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by  those of you who have been blessed with children of your
own.  I  don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My
birth  just, GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.  Now, having said that let  Me continue:

If it bothers you that the town in which  you live doesn't allow a scene
depicting My birth, then just get rid of  a couple of Santa's and snowmen
and put in a small Nativity scene on  your own front lawn. If all My
followers did that there wouldn't be  any need for such a scene on the
town square because there would be  many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact  that people are calling the tree a holiday
tree, instead of a  Christmas tree.  It was I who made all trees. You can
& may  remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if  you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching explaining who I  am in relation to you & what each of our tasks is. If you have  forgotten that
one, look up John 15: 1-8.

If you want to  give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my
wish list.  Choose something from it.

1. Instead of writing protest  letters objecting to the way
My birthday is being celebrated, write  letters of love and hope to
soldiers away from home. They are terribly  afraid and lonely this time
of year.  I know, they tell Me all the  time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to  know them
personally. They just need to know that someone cares about  them.

3. Instead of writing George complaining about the  wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write  and tell him that
you'll be praying for him and his family this year.  Then follow up. It
will be nice hearing from you  again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you  can't afford and
they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the  story of My birth,
and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them  in your arms and
remind them that I love them.

5. Pick  someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to  take their own life this season because they feel so alone and  hopeless? Since you
don't know who that person is, try giving everyone  you meet a warm smile it could make the difference. Also, you might  consider supporting the local Hot-Line: they talk with people like that  every day.

7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer  in your town calls the
holiday, be patient with the people who work  there. Give them a warm
smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't  allowed to wish you a "Merry
Christmas" that doesn't keep you from  wishing them one. Then stop
shopping there on Sunday. If the store  didn't make so much money on that day they'd close and let their  employees spend the day at home with their families.

8.  If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary,
especially one who takes My love & Good News to those who have  never heard My name. You may already know someone like  that.

9. Here's a good one. There are individuals &  whole families in your
town who not only will have no "Christmas"  tree, but neither will they
have any presents to give or receive. If  you don't know them (and I
suspect you don't) buy some food & a few  gifts & give them to the
Marines, the Salvation Army or some other  charity which believes in Me & they will make the delivery for  you.

10. Finally if you want to make a statement about your  belief in and
loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do  things in secret
that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know  by your actions
that you are one of mine. Just love Me & do what  I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. I'll help you.  And do have a most blessed
Christmas with all those whom you love, and  remember, I LOVE YOU!

Jesus

One of our beloved cats, "Ginny" passed away this morning.  She was 12 y/o, and has been in the hospital since Monday.  We had high hopes on bringing her home today (10/23/08)--her vet had told use she could come home today, but we would be feeding her through a syringe.  We were fine with that--whatever it would take.

Ginger lived a good life.  She was like a dog as far as being "house trained". She was too "dainty" for a litter box LOL-she would sit  at the front door-staring at it until we let her out to "do her business"--then we would let her back in.  She had her favorite tree in our front yard, and if she was outside, you would find her laying on her tree branch.

Some people think cats are not smart animals-but they are--we have 3 (2 now).  Ginger came to use when we called her name. She loved her Daddy--she was always in his lap.  Ginny LOVED men LOL!  Anytime any of my sons friends came over, she would jump right into their laps--but women--she was quite the opposite LOL!  If you drove up to my home, and Ginny was outside, she would run up to your car to greet you.  She knew my car LOL....when she was outside, and I came home, she would run to the front door--hoping I would feed her!!

I wanted to thank all of you for the kind and encouraging words.

Have you noticed how KIND everyone seems to be now??  Even while waiting in line EVERYWHERE-people are actually talking to one another---total strangers at that.  The spirit in the air is almost like Christmas.  We have gotten out and got to know our "new" neighbors etc.  How 'bout you?  What random kindness has been shown to you--or what random kindness have you done for someone???

CALLING ON COMPUTER WHIZZES!!!!!!!!!!!Jul 22, 2008 | 10:47 PM
Category: News

This is for all of you that are computer literate LOL!!  I'm not sure, but I think my computer is getting sick-hope it's not a virus.  I have McAffee, Ad Aware, and SpyBlaster on it-so I can't imagine a little intruder getting in it--but I guess anythings possible!!  I do all of the temporary file clean outs etc. on a daily basis-remove cookies etc.  BUT.................

it has started making a loud "winding" noise where the fan is--only if we are on the computer for  a long period of time OR if we are on a page that has alot of "flash" stuff on it.  Sometimes when we are on "My Space" it runs very slow and the cursor moves in very slow motion.  I have plenty of memory left-so I doubt that could be the problem.

I had the computer cleaned out etc. last year due to viruses--and it was basically "rebuilt".

ANY suggestions out there?  Anything I can check on myself before paying big bucks to get it looked at???

NOW-that I have your attention LOL!  I was wondering how many of you suffer from migraine headaches and how often do you get them??

I suffer from migraines and seem to be getting them atleast 2 to 4 times a month, which is more than usual.  I HATE taking the prescription meds because they make me soooooooooo drowsy.  I WILL take them-if the migraine is unbearable-but if it's a weekday then I have to take another medication-like an over the counter one.  They physician I work for takes a "Sams Choice" Migraine Formula-which works for me sometimes--but the relief doesn't last all day and I find myself having to take 4 to 6 of them in a day.  Most over the counter meds have caffeine in them-which I find strange because they tell you to stay away from caffeine if you suffer from migraines.

What do you do for your migraines--other than taking prescription meds?  Are your migraines so debilitating that you are unable to function at your job?  Do you feel there is anything you eat or drink that causes an onset of your headache?  Does your headache also cause you to be nauseated?  What other signs/symptoms occur with your headaches??

Common symptoms of migraine include:

  • Throbbing or pulsating headache on one side of your head.
  • Moderate to severe headache intensity.
  • Your headache getting worse with routine physical activity.
  • Nausea, vomiting, or both.
  • Sensitivity to light and noise, and sometimes smells.

I think this little poem just about sums it all up-don't you?  I especially like the last part--I've highlighted it.  Being a Christian doesn't mean you are above anyone else-or better than anyone else-or HOLIER than others!  Some people who profess to be Christians seem to have a "holier than thou" attitude, which isn't the way God intended it to be!!  It breaks my heart to see others act in that manner.  Please, take a moment to read this-it's awesome!!

When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living''
I'm whispering 'I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian'
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches,
so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian'
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner

Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Each day, you open you email accounts and have an over abundance of emails-whether it be from people you know, or emails you have subscribed to. Do you really, truly read the emails-or hit the delete key without ever opening them?

I actually try to read ALL of them LOL—not always on the same day I receive the emails, but I do eventually get around to reading them. If YOU take the time to send an email to me, then it must be something AWESOME you want me to read!! There are some people who send emails to me-and I KNOW I'm going to get a great LAUGH when I open it-some always send the “kleenex” emails—and I'm usually prepared for those too LOL!

I know of some people who just hit the “delete” key all the way down on most of their emails, not even taking the time to read them—which is very, very sad. If someone thinks enough of you to send an email to you—why not take the time to read it???

Wow!  I was so SHOCKED this morning when I heard of the untimely passing of Dottie Rambo-who is a legend in country and gospel music today!!  She wrote soooooooooo many songs that were recorded by top artist and Dottie herself sang her own songs as well as recorded them.  She will be missed--but is in a better place!!

Joyce "Dottie" Rambo, an influential gospel singer and songwriter, died early Sunday when her tour bus ran off the highway and struck an embankment. She was 74.

It was unclear whether the crash was related to the severe storms and tornadoes that hit the region on Saturday. Storms also swept through the area later in the night, according to the National Weather Service.

Rambo, of Nashville, Tenn., was on her way to a Mother's Day performance in Texas, according to her Web site.

"She was a giant in the gospel music industry," said Beckie Simmons, Rambo's agent. "Dolly Parton recorded some of her songs."

Rambo has had more than 2,500 published songs, including gospel classics such as "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need" and the 1982 Gospel Music Association Song of the Year, "We Shall Behold Him."

I wrote this for my mom in law and wanted to share it with my blogger friends in honor of  Mothers Day!!

THANK YOU

Twenty-nine years ago, you gave me your son,
Praying that I was really "the one!"
You welcomed me into you home and heart
And into your family; I became a part.

You give me the love I've never had,
The love that comes from a mom and dad.
I've always wanted a mom like you;
When God put us together, this He knew.

You're always there every time I call,
And you're there to catch me when I fall.
You're there to hold me when I cry,
And you always somehow, seemingly, know why.

I just want to say "Thank You" on this Mothers Day,
Thank you for being here and never looking away.
Thank you for trusting me with your son,
I want you to know mom--you're number one!

Most of you don't know, but I come from an abusive (both sexual and physical) homelife.  My mom and step dad were alcoholics and he constantly beat my mother, my sister and myself.  He sexually abused my sister and I-and our mother was aware of this.  If it weren't for my mother and father in law and my WONDERFUL husband I can't imagine what my life would be like now!!  My mother in law loved me unconditionally-still does!  She taught me how to raise a child the right way--I thought the way to discipline a child was to slap them across the face and scream and yell at them-because that is the way I was raised.

So MOM-I thought it was only fitting to tell you how much I LOVE and appreciate everything you have done for me!!  I thank you sooooo much for your loving kindness and guidance throughout the years--and I know I haven't been an easy "child" to raise LOL!

I was watching GMC last night and Randy Owen from the group "Alabama" was singing songs from his new "project".  It is his favorite hymns.

What's your favorite hymn?  Does it bring back fond memories when you sing it?

One of the songs he sang was "Suppertime".  I can remember standing around my BigMomma's (my mother's mother) piano-my Aunt would play Suppertime and we would all sing the song-my BigMomma loved that song-I can still hear her singing it now!!

My favorite hymn is "Standing on the Promises".  Everytime we would have an old fashioned "singing" at my Memaw's church in Alabama, she would always request that song-I grew to love it and still do to this day.  Everytime I sing the song, it takes me back to that little old Baptist Church in Alabama--sitting in the pew--singing my little heart out!!

What's your favorite hymn-or Gospel song? What fond memories do you have of the song?

Of course, Amazing Grace, Old Rugged Cross and How Great Thou Art are at the top of my list too!!

A friend of mine sent this to me via email (Thanks grandma2connor)!  I think it is awesome!! Christians by Maya Angelou

"A woman's

I think FOX26 has the best news "family" around-and yes to most of us they are just that "FAMILY"! Keep up the great work FOX-and can't wait to see more and more positive changes for the station (as long as nobody leaves-your bloggers will stay happy LOL!)
