It seems the small town of Bloggersville is getting many new citizens-which is awesome. But while our little town grows, we begin to notice that we don’t know our neighbors very well--right?
I think FOX needs to do the “Blogger Profiles” again-don’t you? It just gave us a fun way to get to know one another. Although our Andrea Watkins probably can’t do these anymore (since she’s out in the field now), maybe Lanny could do them? It would be fun right? Lanny seems to be very involved with the growth of our little town and he does awesome interviews!
C’mon-what do yawl think?? If you want the blogger profiles back AND want Lanny to do them, let Fox know!!!
If they do bring the profiles back, who do you want to be profiled? Who seems very “interesting” OR “mysterious”???
I don’t think I remember ALL of the bloggers who have been profiled--but here’s the ones I remember--if you remember anyone else PLEASE feel free to add them!!

'Twas the
month after
Christmas, and all through the house,
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste at the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a
number!
When I walked to the store(less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the
cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you,
please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt---
I said to myself, as only I can
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man! "
So--away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chips
Every last bit of food that I like must be
banished
" Till all the additional ounces have
vanished.
I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want to chew only on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, my stomach growls like never before!
But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.

CUPCAKES?

Okay-I just have to post a picture of my "frog" cupcakes on here LOL! My youngest grandson just turned 2y/o. He loves a show on NicJr. Called "Max and Ruby". One of his fav. Max shows is about a frog. Although the birthday theme was "John Deere", I just had to make some cupcakes for the children. (with my daughters permission of course.) I thought they turned out quite cute!! It took my sons "fiance" and myself 1 1/2 hrs. to do 18 cupcakes. I can't imagine what I would have done without her help!!
So what is/was your cutest "creation" for a childs party?? Cute cakes/cupcakes/party favors??? Please share!!

I just wanted to give the news team, weather team and everyone else at Fox26 a BIG THANK YOU and a CYBER HUG!! Yawl rocked--really kept us in touch with all warnings etc. during Hurricane Ike! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And may God Bless each of you!!!!
It was sooooooooo nice to see Andrea Watkins doing the newscast this morning!! You looked BEAUTIFUL as usual Andrea-and did sooooooooooooooo well!! I sure would love to have that beautiful complexion!!!!
So, did it feel different to be back doing a newscast again Andrea??? You need to be on there more (IMO)!!!!
Well-other than seeing our friend PB mom on the segment--it's not something I'll watch! (unless PB is on it) It's not very interesting to watch several women give their "opinions". I can get that anywhere-even while Blogging!! I thought that by the title FAMILY MATTERS it would profile different families in the Houston area (like PB Mom and Patrick)-not a general round table discussion.
Sorry Fox-it's gotta get better than tonight for sure!
I've always said Jose Grinan was a smart dresser-but this morning really proved my point LOL!!
Did anyone see him "flash" his socks, shoes and THOSE LEGS on camera this morning LOL!! Sibila had to "fan" herself--the she showed her legs AND shoes!! Thanks for being so REAL Jose and Sibila!!! You 2 are awesome--and make news so much fun in the mornings!!!!
Okay-honestly and truthfully-do YOU think you could live without your cell phone??
In this day of electronics etc.-it seems everywhere we go people are talking on the phones or texting etc. What in the world did WE do without these little gadgets?? Tell us YOUR story-how was YOUR life without CELLPHONES??? C'mon now-be honest and 'fess up!!!!
I could live without mine-and mostly do LOL! My kids are always fussing at me because they call my phone and I don't answer it--I usually leave it in my purse on vibrate/silent-OR lost somewhere in the house. There is a thing called a "house phone"-that's MUCH larger than a cell phone and I can hear ALOT better on the house phone LOL?? Soooooooo is it just me LOL????
I was looking at the pics on the main page and most of them have been there a VERY long time. I think it's time to put some new pics up!! I've scanned through the pics and there are some really cute and appropriate ones for each category!! How 'bout it Fox??
I haven't seen or heard who won the "blogger" contest for the month of April? Will Fox announce the winner each month on the air? How will the contest work?

I haven't watched American Idol much this year-mainly because the talent is not quite up to par AND I can not tolerate Amanda Overmyer!! I was elated tonight when she got eliminated!! Atlast, if I choose to watch A.I.-I won't have to leave the room to avoid hearing her horrible voice!! She really messed up last night talking about selling tickets etc. Sometimes the contestants get a tad bit "big headed" and before you know it-they're gone!!!! Carly needed a dose of reality too-and she got it by being in the bottom 3!! Hmmmmmmmm-who is the winner going to be????
It's been a while since our beautiful Andrea Watkins did a "blogger" profile--it was July 2007 to be exact. When is the next blogger profile series going to be done and who will be doing them?? I think we need to take vote now LOL!! The ones who were interviewed in July (for you newbies) was:
I think ROBIN and MIK1of3 should be done for sure!! I thought Andrea was going to do a profile in November and Mik was asked to do one. WW needs to be profiled too!! Gosh-theres alot of bloggers I'd like to see on T.V. LOL! How 'bout you??
