KENSWIFES DAILY GRIND COFFEE HOUSE

Last Post 6 days, 21 hours Ago

One of our beloved cats, "Ginny" passed away this morning.  She was 12 y/o, and has been in the hospital since Monday.  We had high hopes on bringing her home today (10/23/08)--her vet had told use she could come home today, but we would be feeding her through a syringe.  We were fine with that--whatever it would take.

Ginger lived a good life.  She was like a dog as far as being "house trained". She was too "dainty" for a litter box LOL-she would sit  at the front door-staring at it until we let her out to "do her business"--then we would let her back in.  She had her favorite tree in our front yard, and if she was outside, you would find her laying on her tree branch.

Some people think cats are not smart animals-but they are--we have 3 (2 now).  Ginger came to use when we called her name. She loved her Daddy--she was always in his lap.  Ginny LOVED men LOL!  Anytime any of my sons friends came over, she would jump right into their laps--but women--she was quite the opposite LOL!  If you drove up to my home, and Ginny was outside, she would run up to your car to greet you.  She knew my car LOL....when she was outside, and I came home, she would run to the front door--hoping I would feed her!!

I wanted to thank all of you for the kind and encouraging words.

Pets are so much more an animal, they are family. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous Ginny. I lost my "Sweetie Pie" (that was her name) 2 years ago. So I know how hard it is. I had Sweetie Pie for 10 years. She had the most beautiful long Platinum & White hair. Maybe Sweetie Pie & Ginny are playing together in Heaven!

Thanks everyone---losing a pet is like losing a major member of the family.

Damali-if you're sweetie pie liked trees, then her and Ginny are probably together!!

Doug-our dog is a year older than Ginny was. My other 2 cats are a little younger, but not by much.

Randy and Yah and PB and Aponi-thanks so much for your kind words!!

I am a mom of 3, grandmom of 2, married for 29yrs and I am a Tx. "transplant" originally from Alabama. I work for a physician which NOW takes up most of my days-so sad LOL! I'm not into blogging about politics--Ken keeps up with that information for me LOL! I LOVE talking about family, household tips, makeup/hair tips, and GOD! I think FOX26 has the best news "family" around-and yes to most of us they are just that "FAMILY"! Keep up the great work FOX-and can't wait to see more and more positive changes for the station (as long as nobody leaves-your bloggers will stay happy LOL!)
