KENSWIFES DAILY GRIND COFFEE HOUSE

It appears that Fox 26 has a news anchor that is now a HERO!! Jose Grinan pulled a female out of a burning car on Hwy. 288 Sunday. There just aren’t too many good Samaritans that would basically lay their life on the line to save another human being.

Just wanted to say THANKS JOSE!!! What you did is very commendable and noteworthy. This was a very kind and unselfish deed which will not go unnoticed.

I hope you were not injured during the rescue. God Bless YOU Jose!!!

Amen Kenswife! Jose Grinan is such a hero. It is awesome to know that there are still caring and compassionate people out here looking out for the little guy and gal. My prayers go out to all that were in the incident.

I had just turned the news on and I came in in the middle of the report. I was shocked. I have a friend who did the same thing -- she didn't care about her own safety (and her own children were in the car) and went in to save a woman in a car while people just stood around and did nothing, not even to help her pull the woman from the car, and shortly after she got out, the car was engulfed in flames.

You could see how visible shaken Jose is and when he was crying, I started crying. All of us would hope that if that situation arises we would do the same, but as was the case of my friend, others stood around and did nothing. It's all the power of choice, and Jose is a hero for making for him what was the only choice possible. My prayers also go out to all involved in the incident, especially those who risked their own lives to help others.

I saw that. I also saw how deeply it affected him when he spoke about it on this morning's newscast. Bless you, Jose; you are a man of such character.

It's interesting that I couldn't find ONE word about this from one of the other local news sites. Maybe Google isn't all it's cracked up to be?

Good work Hosey! We'd all like to think we'd do the same if necessary but you did it. So sorry it didn't work out for the other passenger. That must have been awful for you. God's speed in your recovery from that terrible ordeal.

I've met Jose on more than one occasion and that kind of selfless behavior on his part does not surprise me. He is trusted member of the community, a leader. I salute you sir. Now get me a job at KRIV.

What he did was amazing. It's difficult to keep your head clear and make the right choices.

It tells alot about his character, to see that he is a 'jump in and help' kinda guy.

That's our Jose!!

You're so right Dread-I've met him once myself-actually been interview by him and he was more than a gentleman. I was a bit "star struck" and was made to feel totally at ease. It's like I said before, there are not many selfless humans left--but thank God Jose was at the right place and the right time.

Andrea-I"m sure he has touched more folks than us bloggers ya know?? And he seems so "humbled" by it all!!!

I am a mom of 3, grandmom of 2, married for 29yrs and I am a Tx. "transplant" originally from Alabama. I work for a physician which NOW takes up most of my days-so sad LOL! I'm not into blogging about politics--Ken keeps up with that information for me LOL! I LOVE talking about family, household tips, makeup/hair tips, and GOD! I think FOX26 has the best news "family" around-and yes to most of us they are just that "FAMILY"! Keep up the great work FOX-and can't wait to see more and more positive changes for the station (as long as nobody leaves-your bloggers will stay happy LOL!)
