1. Does Not Support Isreal - I long suspected this and only now is it confirmed that Obama is hostile to Isreal. As an example, the L.A. Times is supressing a video tape where Obama is at a farewell dinner for an avowed enemy of Isreal. At this dinner the State of Isreal is lampooned, ridiculed and its very existence condemded. After the evening of "roasting" and ridicule, Obama is seen toasting the main offender and guest of honor, Rashid Khalidi, spokesman for the late PLO leader Yasser Arafat. If you are known by the company you keep, Barack Obama does not keep good company.

2. Selection of Supreme Court Justices - Obama's legal philosophy is wrong and out of step with the constitution. I have little confidence that he will appoint justices who will interpret the law, not legislate new law. The other day I heard an interview in which Obama was complaining that the contitution "limited" what government can do. Duhhhhh!!! It's supposed to! He completely misses this point.

3. Wants to Spread the Wealth - In any other forum, his idea of "wealth spreading" would be defined as theft. I'm sick and tired of being told that I'm "rich" and that I'm selfish and a bad person because I want to keep the government from taking more and more of my earnings for some "better purpose."

4. Believes Government is The Answer - Again, it comes from a flawed philosophy. Frankly, the best thing the government can do is to get out of our way and leave us alone. Government has a limited role in our lives. It's a safety net for those truly in need. It is not our saviour. I'm sorry, we're overlooking a lot if we don't question what we are being sold in this package of goods.

Wow, you are really believing what the McCain camp is touting and this is coming from a candidate who has “Joe the Plumber” on the trail touting this same mess, a disputed liar who does not own a business nor does he have the money to buy one, but hey that is your choice. Nevertheless, I read your blog and was completely disturbed that you will not seek the truth, as I must beg to differ with you on your assessment.

First, in regards to Israel and the supposedly tape that the LA Time is withholding, do you realize that this Rashid Khalidi was provided “at least $448,000 from an organization McCain chairs” approximately 15 years ago. Thus, “In a story published in April, the Times said Obama spoke out at the event on the need for common ground on the Israel-Palestinian issue. Obama has said during the campaign that his commitment to Israel's security is "nonnegotiable." Now, if this does not dispute your way of thinking and the fact that you stated, “If you are known by the company you keep” then you must also apply these thoughts to McCain, you know the person from the Keating Five.

In regards to point number two, the appointment of Supreme Court Justices you are ascertaining that this has not already happened with the current President as those selections that he made are just as you described about Obama. Why the discrepancy as most of these people have not interpreted the law, or should I say to their benefit instead has legislated new laws for Bush’s benefit, double standard if you ask me.

Regarding point number three, you people are really taking out of

cont'd....

context this “spread the wealth” statement as Obama is speaking of the progressive tax which has been in existence almost as long as many of us and why shouldn’t people who make more pay more, is that not the ideology of this country? If we continue to take from the poor and give to the rich, how then would anyone get ahead that is not rich, as it appears that you are one of those people who believe in that trickle down economic policy, well tell me, how is that working out for you or others. Lets say that I make $500,000 a year (yeah, a stretch as I am not Warren Buffett) but for the sake of argument go with me, and you make $42,000 a year, who should pay more in taxes me or you? Now, I ask you why should I pay less and you pay more does this do anything for the economy or does this do anything for you to promote getting ahead or paying the bills?

Lastly, you are touting the McCain camp’s talking points in believing this mess that Obama is for government being the answer and Mr. Obama has disputed this fact various times if you would just open your ears and listen. Just last night as he has so many other times said that government is not the answer but that the government did need to do its part to help the American people. I know that you have your mind made up in who is best to lead this country and please know that I am not trying to change your stance but I do disagree with these talking points that you have outlined to be true and self evident as they are nothing short of lies and hope that one day you will see the truth, good luck to you.

Navymom:

I understand you dislike for Mr. Obama but if I or any other supporter would say that about McCain you would be up in arms. Why can't we as supporters state our dislike without the slanderous comments as you are just what you are calling Mr. Obama and I do not see where he is trying to destroy our country, despite your feelings.

I don't believe Obama's intentions are to destroy the country. However navymom01 is right in that in the end, his radical political philosophy is such that the result would be a wrecked nation. If Obama is elected, I can only hope and pray that moderating congressional influences will help get us through the next four years; time for this country to come back to its senses and elect a real Reagan concervative.
