No Inauguration Tickets For DC

Ever Since Obama won I have been trying to contact our Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton to get tickets. This year is my first time voting and first time getting into politics and news about Election. It's ashame that people that live in Washington, DC can not even get tickets to the Inauguration that is happening in their own backyard. If anyone knows how to contact anyone for free tickets please let me know

Keith I too attempted to get tickets thru Congresswoman Norton's office. Her staff had a nasty attitude over the telephone and on Norton's website, it states

No Inauguration Tickets Available
Please do not call or e-mail this office.

Because of the high demand for tickets, this office can no longer take names. We are in discussions with President-Elect Barack Obama’s office and other officials on how to best accommodate the high demand. Check here for details in the future. Again, please do not call or e-mail our office concerning inauguration events.

Congresswoman Norton have such a nasty and ngegative attitude. I didn't vote for this woman.

Good for you Keith. That makes two of us. I am a Ward 4 D.C. resident. Hang in there little brother. You might luck up on some tickets. I was going to ask Adrian Fenty, but Adrian has changed so much for the worse and I am not in his inner circles of wealthy folks.

Does anyone know of any organizations that are having inaugural activities that week and if so, how to obtain tickets?..I know some people who are coming in from out of town who want to attend some of the social events.

I think I am gonna put together a group and we all meet up at the inaugural parade wearing obam shirts or somthing
