Gibbs is gone just after 4 years. Who really thought he was going to come back next year?  Gibbs went 31-36 to finish his second reign as head coach for the Skins. It's time to rebuild for 2008... This will raise a whole new crop of questions..... Will Jason Campbell be here next year? Will the Skins clean house?

So much for your commitment for the 5 year term. GOOD RIDDENS!

Gibbs will be in sunny Florida in just 6 weeks to run his new TOYOTA race teams....

Danny boy will need to sell more pretzels to afford the 10 million +  a year salary for  the coaches out there....

WHAT A GREAT DAY !

Well Katie,

I see all the fair weathers and newbies have come out of the woodwork again lol.

I think that there is a lot of hoping and wishing for Bill Cowher, I don't think that will happen, Dan Snyder is worse to work for than Jerry Jones in my opinion.

On Joe Gibbs, kudos to him, it was time to go. He salvaged his rep and has nothing to be ashamed of. You are correct, he will be in Daytona in 6 weeks trying to find a way to stop a 3 headed monster from Hendrick motorsports known as Jeff, Dale and Jimmy lol.

I was listening to the John Riggins show yesterday and once again I have to agree with Riggo.

He was saying that without a GM, and Snyder not wanting one, that the Skins are right back to where they were around Schottenheimer - Spurrier time frame.

Snyder is too flashy and won't promote from within, Skins go 6-10 next year.

You can't buy a Super Bowl, one day, Danny will figure that out.

PS. IF Snyder doesn't give the job to Gregg Williams, he is a moron.

PS again lol,

From ESPN...

But while the Snyder fortune can buy him things like Six Flags amusement parks, radio stations and a film deal with Tom Cruise, money can't buy a Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Redskins' failed forays into free agency certainly have demonstrated that. Snyder is a money-making machine, a brilliant businessman, resourceful and opportunistic. He never has to reach for the brass ring, because he can buy it.

Unfortunately, for him, a Super Bowl ring does not come with a price tag attached to it.

And bingo was his namo lol. Back to square one for Danny boy.

I agree 100% with you cowboysfan.... the NFL is always changing and you have to keep up. I don't think Cowher will sign with the skins either... if he does... tons of changes in Ashburn will follow.

I find it funny that people have been speculating on the possible departure of Jason Garrett and the impact on the Boys... but this announcement was devastating to skins nation..

I LOVE IT!

P.S. ... At last this turns the attention off of Romo's vacation habits for at least a day or two.

Ahhhh,

Life is back to normal, I just saw a Eastern's car commercial loaded with Redskin players lol. Just where I said they would be in post season, doing the Eastern's thing instead of the playoffs lol.

Why are you guys SO CONCERNED about what happens with the Redskins? Every blog opportunity you get is about what happens with Coach Gibbs and Dan Snyder. Admit it, you are closet Redskins fans!!

Don't worry about what we have or have not done in the draft, or what the next idiotic move Snyder will make. Just be concerned about the show T.O. will perform so I can sit back with my popcorn!

Well, Well, Well Who else exited the playoff's after there first game. Let me see, oh yeah it was those boy's with the stars on there helmets. I have not heard anything from my Dallas friends today. I left each and eveyone of them a text message expressing my condolenaces. So the cowboys robbed me of watching Bret Farve destroy their weak secoundary. Oh well the good thing is Tony Romo has plenty time to play house with Jessica (not a bad deal). So I guess it really was a win, win situation for him. And we true football fans get to watch another game from the house that Vince built.

I have lived in the Northern Virginia area since 1967...I currently own and operate a small business in the area and enjoy living close to D.C. Altough there are many problems in this area I wouldn't trade it for any other town!
