35-14 = 21 wow I guess it works both ways.....

Well the clock struck midnight and Cinderella's carriage has turned back into a pumpkin. The dream is over... the season is done. Time to reflect on what could have been.

Some much for all the stats..

Joe Gibbs has never lost a wild card playoff game.... WELL NOW HE HAS!

The skins were undefeated when leading in the second half of a payoff game... NOW THEY ARE NOT!

BACK TO LIFE BACK TO REALITY!

Time for Collins to rot on the bench for another 10 years .... Good Luck.

I was actually rooting for the skins this time so it would have set up the rematch in Dallas... but I guess I'll have to wait.

Well, I am not in the DC area so I can't hear the sound of a pin drop from Fredericksburg to Baltimore.

Skins fans, nothing to be ashamed of, finished an emotional season on a high note last week and went to the playoffs this week.

The future does look bright, let's see what next season brings for you guys.

"I was actually rooting for the skins this time so it would have set up the rematch in Dallas"

There was a rematch. It was last week, remember? It was a rematch of the November 18th game where the Cowboy just barely won then, remember?Last weeks rematch the `Skins handed their azz to them on a platter, remember? You kept making excuses, remember?I even posted an article from the Star-Telegram on why they bit hard, remember?Ya know,it's a funny thing but you never left any comments about the article.I wonder why not?I figured you'd have something to say about an article from Fort Worth regarding the Cowboys getting spanked.

Mountian,

No excuses, there was nothing to play for, why risk getting players hurt when you are in the playoffs and have a first round bye.

If you look at last weeks games, every playoff team lost except Green Bay.

The Cowboys will be dismantled anyway, teams are coming after their coaches and soon their players. Stay tuned.

He's just grasping cboysfan.. Anybody who knows football understands what happened last week. It was a good story for Skins nation but the playoffs are a whole new world.

The Skins couldn't put up so now it's time to shut up....

We will see today who the boys match up against next week... I'm thinking it's going to be New York.. which I believe would be a tougher match-up for the Boys..

"Anybody who knows football understands what happened last week"

The Dallas coaching staff knows football pretty well don't they?Let's see what they had to say about it:

“I told our guys, and I feel this way, the word for us was uninspired,” coach Wade Phillips said. “It shows you what happens when one team is fired up and other one isn’t. Basically, I didn’t get our team ready to play.

“It was a very hard game to play. You can ask Seattle, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh ... those teams that won their division didn’t have a whole lot to play for. I thought we’d play better than we did and we didn’t.”

Seems like quite a bit of grasping there.

Lets see what else the article said:

"Let’s get the alibis out of the way right now.
It was a miserable day at FedEx Field, cold, rainy, wet turf. Didn’t seem to trouble Washington’s Todd Collins much, though, did it?"
"There was the problem of a nonexistent running game: exactly one net yard, a franchise worst, on 16 carries. The Cowboys’ longest run of the day: Five yards by Julius Jones in the second quarter."
"The offensive line played as if it was taking a long nap."
"Backup receiver Miles Austin dropped what should have been two touchdown passes, one from Romo and one from backup Brad Johnson in the fourth quarter."
"Whether his bruised thumb is still bothering him or there’s something else, this Romo, the one who was 7-for-16 for 86 yards and an interception in 2 1/2 quarters of work, isn’t the same quarterback who was destroying defenses for the first three months of the season. The Cowboys essentially have two weeks to hope he shows up again."
"Romo has posted passer ratings of 22.2 and 34.9 in two of the last three games, sandwiched around a so-so performance in a victory at Carolina. While he was at quarterback Sunday, the Cowboys managed only three plays longer than 9 yards."

Then there's still more:

"And please don’t tell me that Tony is pining for the injured Terrell Owens.
“I think Tony’s fine. I think our whole team’s fine,” Phillips said. “We had a bad game against Philadelphia in a game I thought we could be playing at our best, and I discount this one.”
"Great. And Custer thought he and the Seventh Cavalry had a pleasant horseback ride on the Little Bighorn, except for that one little incident with the Indians."
“We really didn’t show up today — point blank,” safety Roy Williams conceded. “We didn’t even show up on the field. Mentally and everything else, we weren’t there.
“We did not show up and the score proved that, and our play on the field proved that. I don’t know how people are going to respond to this. I know that we better get our stuff together.”

Oh but wait! Here comes my favorite part:

“We know what we’re doing and we held some things back,” Romo said.

"You might play them again, you might not.You also don’t want to show too much in some ways."

HA!HA!HA!!!!! Am I to believe that Romo martyred his all time best Cowboy's season win record just so he wouldn't "give away too much"?After watching Romo marching up and down the sidelines cussing like a sailor and throwing his helmet around I can honestly say that this is a fat load of crap!Oh,but don't take my word for it....... HA!HA!HA!

And what is your point? Yes I read the article you posted before and no I didn't need to comment on it. It was old news by the time you posted it. I had already seen video of the post game interview when basically Wade Phillips and Romo said the same thing....

And again your point?

Oh please!Don't play coy with me.Every time the Skins make a mistake you pounce on them like some obsessed vulture.Yet when the Cowboys stink out loud you make excuses and hide like a coward.Quite the hypocrit.Like you told someone else; "we are always here, win or lose. Not to be said for skins fans.... like you said they are all over the place when they win... but what about when they lose? NO comments... No posts.. NADA"

With you it's nothing but hiding your head in the sand.Hell, even when an old lady named GrandMa answered you you said nothing.Yes I know you posted some big blog about your loss to the Pats but you even made your appology into a bust on Skins fans. How weak is that?.You didn't post that stuff to own up to a loss like a man you did it just to try and drag everyone else down to your level. You immediatly started to talk about your big rematch. Then you started crying about how they beat you up too bad.You said; "The Patriots should be ashamed of what they did at the end of the game on Sunday. Why do you need to run up the score at the end of the game?"

You gripe because they ran up too many points?Oh boo hoo hoo! What a crybaby.Don't even try to tell me it's some mystical football thing that only you and all of the Super Bowl winners can comprehend.I've only tolerated that crap from you so far just to be nice but speaking frankly now I don't think you know squat about football or NASCAR either for that matter so just can it.

Then you tore into Skins fans so you could draw some attention away from their crappy performance.

I believe you said; "And REDSKIN Fan if your laughing right now... well you are going to get yours handed to you in about 11 days! I can hear the excuses already... Let's see how your chips stack up. I predict the Pats won't run the score up on you because your team means nothing to them.. unlike the Cowboys!

Well judging by that logic the Cowboys must be very, very special to the Skins, huh?

You also said; "Where are you guys? Nothing to say about the Green Bay game? Another melt down? Keep throwing haymakers.... you'll be in the basement soon... like ususal....

Well, dude,it doesn't take much to see how low YOUR chips stack up does it?Frankly you're nothing but a big mouth coward who dishes out but can't take it.Please do us all a favor and either shut the hell up or just leave.

Not to worry Mountaineerfan...the Cowboys will find a way to mess it up in the playoffs again! Sit back and watch it unfold!

And by the way, there is power in the number 21...it worked against the Cowboys which is what Sean wanted all along.

Well I guess 21 will now finally rest. Thank god their out of the playoffs now. I'm sick of hearing about that whole stupid over paid team. Clinton Portis needs to work on his game instead of trying to sell cars!

Boys fans will be here!

Jan 7, 2008 | 7:46 AM

Oh we will be here mountain. Unlike most Redskin fans ( I'll say it again, you regulars here know im not talking about you ) who go into hiding after talking serious smack when the team loses, or only show up when the team is on a winning streak, we cowboys fans show up win or lose.

I'll say it again, I have never see an NFL team who has a bigger combination of either die hard or fair weathered fans than the Redskins.

A team whose local media is so over the top that ANY victory on Sunday be it against a 1 -15 team or the Super Bowl champs is the lead news story on local news rather than an important news story.

4 weeks ago you with a 5 - 7 record, you guys wanted Joe Gibbs run out of town, he goes on a 4 game winning streak and you guys are screaming to give him a contract extension.

Todd Collins comes in and wins games, you want the future of the team, Jason Campbell traded. You saw the real Todd Collins in Seattle on Saturday and why he has been a back up for 10 years.

Last but least, im gonna call out Channel 5's own Dave Feldman. He did some pretty irresponsible blogging last week about how the Cowboys should have finished off the Redskins in that last game because when they get past Seattle.......

I called him out on his own blog and true to a typical Redskin homer journalist and bandwagon jumper....he never answered that blog again but did start a new one.

So mountain, go to the Dallas papers and dig something up, at least their media calls the team out when they are doing bad....unlike Washington's.

Well said cowboysfan. I thought Feldy's statement after the game was ridiculous. After all even if the boys did beat the skins last week... the skins would have been playing in Seattle this past Saturday... so to say the Boys should have finished them off... really meant nothing.... just more homer commenting.

It is funny how fast things change in this town.... even this morning the talk is about the QB position.. comments made by Portis about how he would like to see Collins back at the helm next year is crazy!

You're both full of crap. All that talk and still no mention from y'all of Dallas' ongoing and ever worsening problems.

Cowpokefan you said "After they beat Seattle? it's possible but getting a little head of yourself don't you think?"

What, journalists aren't supposed to make forecasts?Or have a fave team? But it's o.k. for you and your fellow Cowboy fans to do it huh?

You also said "we cowboys fans show up win or lose."

Apparently not.Over at the Dallas Fox blogs there was Narry a mention of the Skin's beating Dallas.Of course I already covered this whole thing before and know you're full of it.I checked the news articles and very few mentions of the Cowboy's losses but all sorts of stories about their victories.
