Olsson's closing!

The five remaining Olsson's bookstores have closed forever.  Drat!   Not only did I patronize them because they are a local chain, but I loved their cozy stores with a wide range of music.

I started buying Christmas gifts there when cassette tapes were the medium of choice.

Whenever I was stuck for a gift, I would go to Olsson's and I would always find something.  Other than "Kramerbooks" and "Politics and Prose",  does anybody know a local, funky bookstore?

John...you have my sympathies...it always depresses me to lose a favorite bookstore, restaurant or shop. I wish I knew of a cozy little bookstore locally, but I don't. Let's hope someone will read your post and we BOTH find a cozy little place.
