I am not a parent but I am still disgusted by the story in the LA Times regarding the two women abusing their five year old child.

"The 5-year-old was hung by his hands and wrists from a door jam and beaten with some sort of leash or chain, police said. He was burned with cigarette butts and left to sit in his own urine and feces. His hands were held to a stove, according to Capt. Fabian Lizarraga, suffering injuries that may leave his hands permanently disfigured"

"Lizarraga alleges that the pair came up with a scheme to avoid detection. Blocks from the DCFS, police allege, Brown and Mathews dumped the boy with a transient.

"He was a complete stranger," the captain said. "They told him 'Watch him for us.' They said 'We'll be right back.' "

The thing that pisses me off is they got away with this for two years!!! Two years of abusing this kid and nobody noticed? How?

Why are people not beating down the jail doors to give some real justice to these animals. Maybe we need to be monitoring who is allowed to have children. If you need a license to drive a car, why not make people get a license before they have children? This is disgusting that nobody noticed this happening. Does anybody expect this poor kid to live anything close to a normal life? Its not fair to him; he didn't get to choose his mother.

My only suggestion to stop this constipated dysfunctional behavior is to have the fallopian tubes of the women burned and if men are involved give them vasectomies. Unless the cycle is broken, unfortunately it will continue. I cannot even imagine what goes on in the minds of these sick individuals. Disturbing blog, but thanks for being a voice for the child.

Hi Jay. I read this story saturday and I still feel bad. What those animals (I shouldn't call them that, I'm insulting the animals, let me call them demons)...did is unforgivable and disgusting. The only form of justice for demons imo, is death. Those two need to be caught and killed. No trial by jury or appeals of any kind. And I don't give a BLEEP if that's mean or judgemental.

I hope and pray that the little guy gets all the love, help, & attention he needs. I'm sending him my love and support, I hope he knows that there are people who care.

When we see a child that could be in danger, we should call cps. I would and I have. Its better to be a nosy neighbor if its to protect an innocent child, than to ignore child abuse.

gee were the 2 women gay?things like this should have no tolerance ..how screwed up a place this is? those scum will be placed in protective custody while awaiting trial..because if they were put on main line they would get what they gave ..i hope they suffer for the rest of their lousy lives maybe someone will screw up the paper work and they will be put with people who give real justice for the crimes committed

A quick and simple death is way too good for these demonic bitches. Put them into the General Population of the Prison and let the inmates administer their own special brand of justice.

Could you please not assume the women were gay. There are other blogs going on right now where you can post that kind of assumption. I am getting a bit tired of the gay bashing. This is about a child and how as a society are we allowing this to happen.

It is not an assumption. They are rug-munchin' Lezbos! It was reported in the media that the manly-looking 19 year old is the "live-in girlfriend" of the boy's mother. Gays are just as capable of sick and horrible crimes as are straights. Throughout history, many of the world's worst and twisted serial criminals had/have homosexual tendencies, with few exceptions.

According to the blog it seemed as if the two dumped the child and took off. I didn't realize they were caught. How were they caught and where is the boy?

i was just guessing on the gay issue but it makes sense why do we still allow these people to have custody of children? a study in England proved that the a straight mans brain and a lesbians brain are alike and a gay mans brain is similar to a straight woman..so in essence theses people are mentally ill and should not be put in care of children

They were a lesbian couple, but that has nothing to do with them being sick and twisted. The point is a woman is allowed to have a child and do whatever the hell she wants to and there are rarely ever consequences. The thing that pisses me off is these BLEEP will probably get a couple years in prison; the mother will get out and seek to get her child back, saying she is "reformed." She will probably get him back too. I would like to do an eye for an eye with these monsters.

I just read a follow up on this story. Now a babysitter was involved (she has two kids). All of them have criminal histories. The mother of the abused boy is a convicted felon and known gang member. She was in prison for one year after giving birth to her son. It seems that the "system" did not do enough to protect the children. The babysitters' children are now in protective custody. The boy is still in the hospital.
They are expecting to plead not guilty. If convicted they better get more than 25 years.

Here is the number is anyone wants to contribute towards helping the boy.

Yea, the courts gave the poor child to her after she got out of prison. When are we going to start holding the government responsible for protecting the vulnerable? They want to tell us how to raise our kids, do not beat your kids, do not do this, do not do that. But when it comes to keeping children out of an obviously bad environment - they drop the ball.
How could "God" put a child in that situation? I dont think 'All men are created equal'

Sadly I dont know how this child would not have permanent damage to his physical body, but mostly his emoional health. Did this child scream? he must have, did no one hear this and wonder about it? From the sounds of his injuries and the age he was I can imagine he was in constant pain.
His poor little hands are not only permanently disfigured, he has also lost mobility, he can only open them just so far due to the scarring from the burns.
I think they should start including parenting classes in high school along with health class. It wont eliminate all abuse but maybe it would help stop some of it or at least make these young people THINK before they decide to have a child.

Well this one was in the Daily News, and the very next day there was an article about a man that had pulled over on a road and was beating a toddler between 1 to 2 years old.
People stopped to help but I guess they couldnt get close enough to stop this man from punching, kicking, shaking and throwing the child to the ground. The child died of his injuries. That eye for an eye rule should definately apply here. There is no excuse for these kind of actions. I find it hard to believe that these people that stopped were helpless against one man, distract him long enough to grab the child and get him out of harms way then wait for the police to come and arrest that guy.

twilight88 true the story is about the child, butthe news paper did say the mother Starquisha Brown and her live in girlfriend.. So it does sound like someone was gay or bi-sexual. The child was left with a stranger while the mother kept her appointment with DCSS, using someone elses child about the same age trying to pass him off as hers. I guess he was in good health. You know to keep up appearances. I guess it was the stranger that must have stepped in. We all have to watch, look and listen and if you know something bad is happening call Social Services and report it, they do send someone out to check.

thornyone-I looked into this story afterwards. One of the babysitters children posed as the mothers' son. The mother of the son was wanted by the police, social services went to her house three times to investigate a prior abuse claim. They were unable to reach her, so they just left a note. While this was going on the mother was able to collect welfare benefits. I don't know a lot about welfare but you would think that if someone is wanted by the police the authorities could notify the welfare agency with a red flag. It seems as if all three agencies were blaming each other. At least it is going to be investigated. It is such a shame that the boy has to suffer. The "system" is so messed up.

The abuse that the mother and her lesbian lover inflicted on the child will unfortunately affect him in his teen years, when he would normally start getting interested in girls. This could very easily persuade him to go towards men and a homosexual life style, if someone doesn't intervene and help him get through it for many years to come.

The "stranger" she left the child with was a homeless man. She just dropped him off and left. The homeless man got so freaked out that he started pleading with people to call someone. Meanwhile, the animals were with the mother animal's parole officer. The PO started to get a clue that something wasn't right. Both animals bolted out of the PO's office leaving the child that they brought with them there.

I pray that the prison justice works, because we all know that the liberal justice system won't.

A few years back I saw a Story about an entire family that was being abused by the father, the mother worked and I guess she had her blinders on cause she didnt see this abuse, to her children. The family had moved, changed phone numbers call social services, the police and anyone that might listen. The father was branding the kids with a burning hot spatula on their backs, threatening thier lives, kicking and punching these kids. Well on one day he threatened to kill the entire family so the boys age 11 and 12 didnt know how to overtake this man when he went off so they got baseball bats and waited to try to protect the younger ones. When he did come home and was starting his normal daily abuses, the two boys hit him with the bats and killed him. They had told teachers they had tried all the avenues that they tell you to try but no one helped. So now the two boys who's lives have been BLEEP are being charged as adults for these crimes (because they waited, it cant be self defense or it has special circustances,
They were both crying they didnt want to kill their father, but more they didnt want to loose their mother and brothers and sisters to the abuses they had all lived with for so many years. I never did hear of an update of how that went. It was on Montel Williams I think.

I moved here from Nashville about a year and a half ago. I am an aspiring writer. I currently write articles for SoCal Sports Hub, about the LA Dodgers. I also am working on a side project - an essay novel with stories that could only have happened to me. I am fascinated by how I can take a story or a blog and post it and see the many different opinions. I do come across as nasty sometimes to other people, but let me assure you I respect just about everybody's opinions.
