Hi James, I demanded of the Universe for some answers. I somehow ended up on Judge Napolitano's site, to his FFF speech, to Ron Paul's site, to his speech about gas prices and the why. I invented the wheel but it may be interesting for you to do that same trip. What an eye opener?

Holy cow! I just realized that it was by "accident" I ended up on the Judge's site in the first place. I guess there are no accidents.

Mentioned to the above this morning that I would prefer not having too much snow right now.

Well, James, it worked about the gas prices....

James, you would not believe how far I can stretch a dollar. In fact, I watch out for the pennies, the dollars watch out for themselves.

If the people continue to be uncaring, then, James, they are getting what they deserve. There is no excuse not to be informed. Instead of playing expensive games, go on the web for information.

If I need something repaired, I first call to find out what the service charge will be. If it takes a serviceman say 3 hrs to do it, and if it will take me longer to make the money for the service call, I do it myself. Time is also money.

I refuse, though, to ever do a brake job on the car again. That was hard, the ground was hard and cold....

I have found that the wealthy people are the tightest with money. That is probably why they have it.

Statistics have proven that if you give a million to a poor person, they can be broke and over their heads within 5 years.

If we don't take care of what money we have, we don't deserve more.

If we don't take interest and action on what the government is doing, James, again, we deserve what is happening to us.... maybe to wake up too late.

Good night... Aili

I think it is to late. example 2010, that SSP agreement Bush had with the Mexican Dictator and the Canadian P.M., agreeing to no borders?
They can't stop illegal immigration now, how will the government stop it. This is a horrible deal for future generations, unions, working families, and the media didn't even touch this subject, free press? I think it's great you tried to do your own brakes, I gave
up working on my car when they put computers in and then putting in pieces that need special tools etc. Your do it yourself stuff is just impossible.

James, there are things that need a professional but I figure, if someone else can do it, so can I.

When I had some carpentry work done and it was botched up, I figured I would do the same and if I did botch it up, at least it wouldn't cost me for the service call.

Your right Angelruby, the service call adds to inflation, I hear that service calls will be going up alot more. I guess everybrody will be getting books and whatever to fix their own problems in the future.

Don't even need books, videos/web are fantastic, using up-to-date materials, and don't cost you more.

Now, I am in a pickle. It IS a struggle for me to find things on the web. For months, I have been looking for plans to build an exterior wood door. No luck. I could experiment BUT that could cost in time and materials. Not good. HELP. Or, do you know a carpenter who knows how to make a door?

Sorry, I wish I did, I have a har enough time trying to find a plumber at a reasonable price. Maybe if you have a Home Depot or a hardware store that you may be able to find a good one who you can trust. It's tough trying to do things on your own. Wood is expensive and tools are expensive. Today you are just trying to make ends meet. Inflation hurts!

Egad, nearly a month... have the tools. Was given a gift of a jig to use to make planks out of the trees I cut down. Looks like it will really be a homemade door! Smile, I love a challenge...

Nothing is really hard to do - once you know how to do it. I bet if you were shown a few times HOW to perform brain surgery, you could also do it. Just like everything, it takes practice. Now, to be a general health doctor - that takes a hell of a lot of practice to be good. I appreciate the GP's that not only rely on machine tests but on their own knowledge and intuition of what is wrong with the patient.

I guess your right, I just have to make time for projects. As you get older time is spent at work or with family

Family, work, projects have been around forever. TV and computer ..... Angel has learned when an hour has passed and tells me it is time to get off the computer. Ruby, the cat, tells me when it is 10PM and time to go to bed. 2 hrs TV is enough.

Older - 62 on March 10th and getting more done in a day than I have ever had. We have wonderful machines that are efficient rather than doing by hand.

If I can, anyone can. I just spent one month writing down the time I spent on EVERYTHING. I sure was busy but I found where I was wasting time and changed that. It was truly amazing.
