Your totally right american25, it's time that our Reps start representing us instead of pandering to BLEEP like this Gov. He's got to go before he hurts the middle class even more.

Is not aiding and abetting a criminal illegal in itself? Is not this governor providing criminals with a ID? Does the government have a responsibility to remove a politician for a criminal act. I think so. Sptizer is a now criminal. His action is facilitating and encouraging criminals. When will the legislature of NY State impeach this self crowned king? Or has the legislature been neutered? Just why do we pretend to elect people who will not stand up for the people. To simply say it is the responsibility of the US government is not only an insult to the people of NY State but dangerous. These people are criminals. We have to deport them all. Until we secure our borders and deport the illegals we are allowing drug dealers, rapists and murders to roam free. This Spitzer must go to jail for the rest of his life.

Absolutely Incredible! Insanity has really taken hold..Spitzer should be stopped! I've written to Spitzer to voice my disdain and horror over this licensing fiasco..it is obviouse that Spitzer does not personally interact or suffer from the toll illegal immigrants are taking on our towns-schools and health system..etc..etc..Write to Spitzer- My rep is Kemp Hannon, he responds and will fight for us- as will Flanagan...we need to keep our voices heard..our legal, tax paying, voting voices. Should this plan be so he can register illegals, it will truly be the end of us....Spitzer's daughter/wife should have to go and walk into home depot in freeport- and let's see how comfortable she would be with the hoards- yes hoards of men- awaiting employers to pick them up...I know I've had enough, haven't you?

Thanks SpankyNJ1, you should send that message to the teamsters about how the legal drivers will be losing their jobs to illegals who will get 5.00 dollars and hour to driver thru states thanks to that fool or gov of NY

I don't know how things work in New York, but down here in Texas, every mom who brings cookies to school and every dad who coaches Little League, MUST have a criminal background check. Yet here we are with a huge population of people, who create a disproportionate amount of the property and crimes against persons for their numbers, and we are allowing them to jump hurdles? And why just Hispanics? Don't you think this sets the state up for a bevy of discrimination lawsuits from people of Asian or European ancestry? It's pandering, pure and simple. I work in a school where there are number of people employed by a service company. Because I speak enough Spanish, I know that some are here illegally. They have said as much. And that means, we have no idea of their backgrounds. Do you really want this person in your home, in your church, in your workplace, in your children's school? It is sheer arrogance and an attempt to garner votes. Shame on him. A pox on all his houses.
