The statement about the Race vote!

As I listen to all the prognosticators, and political clairvoyants a new day is upon us? History has been made,as Barrack has beaten the odds and won Iowa. The drive for a new untainted outsider of Washington to ascend to the White House is the consensus of the media think tanks. That all bets are off,on all other candidates,for A.A. because of the possibility of having a Black President may be . The majority of commentators now say that Barrak may win S.C. because the state has a population of 52% A.A. or better and these voters will vote for Barrack because he's half black and thats good enough for them! Does this NOT REEK of RACISIM? The A.A. community will elect an unqualified junior Senator over more experienced candidates because he's Black??! This flys in the face of Whites as what we know to be facts about the Black community. They would rather elect a Black man (any) over a White candidate for the mere fact that he is Black! That is racisim plain and simple and it is Blacks whom perpetuate it,and know one bats an eye! This is not unheard of in this area.In recent history Blacks elected a felon,coke addict to be mayor of  D.C. for spite which in it of itself was unprecedented then,as it is now! To elect any candidate over another for the color of ones skin is Racist. I can't remind you of this enough; and it will not be addressed in this election by the media giants I'm sure! As most whites know by now this is a norm for the A.A.community. We would hope it would not be,but ask a leopord to change it's spots! If Obama gets the Dem.nomination,rest assured that there will be a Rep.president for 4 more yrs. If Blacks vote the color line which they surely will,then Whites should do the same and will! Remember my A.A. citizens we are still 75% of the population,and we will not let a man be elected to the White house because of his skin TONE period! Can you imagine what would be said if Whites started to say vote for milky Hillary,or cracker Edwards because their White?? No more double standards Black Americans,this is the perfect example of just that! If White America does not address this issue now,then we only have ourselves to blame for the flood of bullsh- to follow! Oh yeah and if you respond,"well were do a black pres".or things along that line that just confirms  my opinion and thoughts on this subject! What do you think Folks???

I think anyone who votes for a person primarily based upon that person's race, sex, age, etc. is a fool. I learned that very early in my life.

Back in the 9th grade, we had a guy and a girl run for class president. The guy was much more qualified--he was class treasurer in 7th grade and class vice president in 8th grade. Other than being popular, the girl had no qualifications. The race became a girl versus boy thing and so the guy got the boy vote and the girl got the girl vote. Since there were more girls in our class than boys, the girl won.

Hands down she was the WORST class president ever. She stacked the class offices with her friends, so instead of having meetings, they just hung out and ate Cheetos and cookies. As a result nothing got done. We had 1 fundraiser that completely tanked. By the end of the year the 8th graders and 7th graders had done more fundraisers and had more money than we did. As a result, our 9th grade school picnic almost didn't happen but for parents and teachers feeling sorry for us and giving us money.

Keeping that experience in mind, I vote for the most qualified and experienced person. Doesn't matter to me what race, sex, etc. that person is, as long as they are qualified, they got my vote.

jaddedude, very sadly we all know it.

Using my analogy on another subject, electing Obama for president, would be as bad a choice as putting me on dancing with the stars.

I totally agree with your sentiment jd, but it is what it is and there will be votes cast on the basis of color alone. Just like Clinton is banking on women to vote for her because of gender. Just like Huckabee is counting on the religious folk to vote for him because he has cast himself as a follower of Jesus. It is what it is and what it is sucks.

I live in Sterling Va. and am a native of Va. my entire life,except during military service in the U.S.N. I'm a contractor who owns his own business and have many hobbies and interest,i.e.motorcycles ect.My major was psych but love literature and history as well.
