GREETINGS SPORTS FANS.

 

I'VE RECEIVED SOME QUESTIONS FROM PEOPLE THAT ARE INTERESTED IN THE MOM'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE STORY WHICH AIRED SUNDAY NIGHT IN THE TEN PM NEWS.

I WILL GET A PHONE NUMBER OF THE LEAGUE COMMISSIONER ROB ZMUDA AND PUT IT ON THE WEB TOMORROW.

Dave - how could do a piece like that and NOT supply contact info: website, email info. SOMETHING!

I agree. I would like to get the info on the womens basketball league so I can play also.

I apologize for not getting back to you guys sooner....i was hoping to have better news...
the league director told me the league is full and they already have too many teams. I know thats not the anwswer you guys were looking for.
I have my friend who is in that leauge looking to see if she can find another one.

I wish i had better news

Dave,
Has your friend had any luck on finding another league, or seeing if there are any other opportunities in the DC Metro area for Moms who played basketball in high school or college. I played in both high school and college and grew up right here in Montgomery County. Back in the day (80's) when girls basketball was seriously competitivie and fundamental.
Let us know if you find anything.

I have been the Sports Director at FOX since 2000. I came from ESPN where I hosted College Hoops 2Night on ESPN 2 and did the ocassional Sports Center. I am originally from Palo Alto, Ca. and I attended Tufts University in Medford, MA. where I majored in English. I also took a semester off from school to be an assistant basketball coach at Stanford University for Dr. Tom Davis. The other assistants included former AU great Kermit Washington and Tennessee Head Coach Bruce Pearl.
