Did that get anyone's attention lol.  I figured I would take a break from watching the O's, Nats, Phillies AND NASCAR to comment on Dan Snyder's bone headed offer to Cincinnatti that was vetoed by Bengals management.

The two headed monster known as Vin-dan was going to offer this year's first round pick, next years 3rd round pick that could have turned into a first rounder based on performance for WR Chad Johnson.

Nice to see that Vin-dan has not matured or changed his way of thinking when it comes to running his team ( he claims he had changed ).  Nothing like giving up your first round pick for a cancer to the team !  Ahh Danny, Coach Joe's advice to you falls on deaf ears !

Ahhh,  3 days to the draft, 3 months till training camp, Back to Baseball and NASCAR !

Im very happy to see many bloggers voicing their displeasure at Fox 5 for once again making the Redskins a news priority over something else, this time, NASCAR.

Can you people at Fox 5 now see that there are other events more important that the Redskins?  You were the only station other than the NFL Network who inturrupted programming for the Redskins presser.

It gets old that everytime the Redskins sneeze in this town that Fox 5 makes it the leading news story.  As I posted in an earlier blog, even the Fox station in Boston only makes the Patriots the lead story only if they are in the Super Bowl and they are consistant Super Bowl contenders.

I have watched Fox 5 make the Redskins the lead story this season over, house fires, major accidents on the beltway, beltway closing, a teenager killed in a car accident, shootings, and now NASCAR coverage.  NEWSFLASH......The Redskins aren't good enough to warrent lead off news coverage after every game !!

Let the station know how you feel fellow bloggers, from what I have seen, you are off to a good start.

My two cents,

Not a bad choice, the reaction im seeing from Redskin nation is not real promising but then again, Redskin fans expect the Super Bowl each year and if the team doesn't make it then the season is a bust. ( tomw, ky151, grandmaM,lilbits, madsmom...you guys know im not talking about you.)

I think Jim Zorn was a pretty good choice, give him sometime to get things together and you might be surprised what happens. For those of you who think this is a temp hire until Bill Cowher wants to come back to coaching, think again, Cowher would not come into an organization with a front office situation like Washington's.

Thoughts comments?!?

Redskins Art Monk and Darrell Green were elected to the hall of fame today.  As a football fan talking about Art Monk....IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME !  Congrats to both Art and Darrell Green.

Here we go again lol....

Homer Fox 5 started off the 10 PM newscast with two breaking news stories......yep, numero uno was.....

THE REDSKINS

Followed by that small distraction called the South Carolina primary.....Homer reporting at it's best !

Before all the newbie bloggers get rolling......I would like to talk about something that has kind of bothered me all day about  alot of Skins fans.  Im not passing judgement but I have been on and off blogs alllll day, IF I were a Redskin fan, I would be embarrassed by how some of my fellow fans are acting and what they are saying.

Wanting to crash the server at Redskins.com to show they are angry and mean business

Comparing Dan Snyder to Adolph Hitler ( very offensive )

One post suggested getting a hit man ( too over the top for me )

Turning in season tickets ( ok, there are only 80,000 waiting for your tickets ! )

Calling Dan Snyder ethnic names

Wanting to Boycott the team and everything to do with it including not buying Sean Taylor merchindise with proceeds going to a fund for his daughter.

I could go on and on, it has gotten way out of control.  There is a such thing as being passionate about your favorite team and being upset with them with moves that they make however........

Some Skins fans out there who are blogging recklessly and with blatent disregard for offensive and embarrassing comments.......

You left me almost speechless with some of the comments.  Best of luck next year.

The search for a coach for the Washington Redskins......

Good title huh lol?!

Ok, before you come at me with guns and knives with what I am about to say, FORGET my name for a second and allow me to speak as a football fan.

I would not want to be a Redskin fan at all right now, you guys are going through some serious crap !  I call em as I see em and this one is a pig....a total pig, this is a 3 ring circus at it's best.

I have read many blogs in the past day, listened to many radio shows and I can't believe the revolt that is going on around the city with Redskin Nation, fans threatening to turn in season tickets ( you guys who bleed burgundy and gold wouldn't do that....if you do, there is a waiting list of 80,000 who would gladly take your tickets ), fans threatening to boycott the team, I mean, I have never seen emotions run this high over hiring a coach for an NFL team.

It seems to be way to obvious that Dan Snyder does not want to give the coaching job to Gregg Williams, if I was Williams, I wouldn't want to take it at this point either if it was offered to me, the team will always be mediocre with this ownership in place. Im not knocking the team on the field, those guys play their guts out, it is not their fault what upper management does.

Just as Bill Parcells made the statement a month ago about how in a year or two you won't even know he was with the Cowboys because JJ has taken over and Bill's stamp on the team will have faded......the same can be said about the Redskins with Joe Gibbs and Dan Snyder, only it will be sooner than later.

The local stations here in Maryland as well as ESPN are reporting that Jason Garrett has been offered the Head Coaching job of the Ravens and will bring in Cam Cameron as Offensive Coordinator and Dom Capers as Defensive Coordinator.

JJ had better do something to keep the continuity of the Cowboys going.  Wade Phillips is not the long term answer in my opinion for the team and Jason Garrett will not be a good fit in Baltimore.  Baltimore has one decent player and that is Todd Heap who is almost as good of a TE as Witten when he isn't hurt.

I can't believe that JJ would bring Garrett in for only one year and not secure the future because Wade Phillips is not the answer and his laid back way cost the Cowboys when it really mattered in the playoffs.

Well, it's over lol.  New York wins and goes to the NFC Championship game.  For those who say that Cowboys fans don't show up after loses.....here I am with you Redskin fans who are also out lol.

I have to say, im conflicted about the loss, mad that they lost the game but at the same time, happy because whomever meets New England from the NFC is going to be humilated.

Dont kid yourselfs, not Dallas, Green Bay, New York or even your beloved Redskins could stop New England.

Well, on to next year, I would be willing to bet that Dan Snyder will be calling Dallas on Monday to request an interview with Jason Garrett even though he should just promote Gregg WIlliams and be done with it.

Well, TomW, KY151, philliefan, katiek and everyone else.....have at it....thoughts, comments ?

Bill Parcells has already taken Jeff Ireland from the Cowboys, Next up, Tony Sparano.  Parcells fired Cam Cameron after 1 season this morning and is reporting that he wants to interview Tony Sparano for the Dolphins head coaching position.

Why hasn't JJ done a damn thing about securing his assistant coaches?  This is the first time in years that the Cowboys have clicked on all cylinders and JJ is about to let his team be dismantled again.

While interest in coaches from a winning club always happens each season, If this trend continues, a repeat of the Dave Campo era is not too far behind.

The NFL firings have already started, Brian Billick was fired as coach of the Baltimore Ravens today and im sure there will be more to come.  There is the Baltimore opening, possibly the Atlanta opening and the Tuna is already after Jeff Ireland for Miami as GM.....is Cam Cameron on his way out as coach?

JJ needs to come up with a deal where he signs Jason for another year or so and then give him the reigns of the Cowboys.  If we lose Jason Garrett, the team is in trouble, or am I blowing that out of proportion?

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Brian Billick was fired as coach of the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, less than a day after his team concluded a disappointing 5-11 season and less than a year after receiving a contract extension through 2010.

Could Al Saunders or Gregg Williams be moving up the road to Baltimore ?!?! Or the Cowboys Jason Garrett ?!?

With a game crucial to their playoff hopes coming up Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings, the Washington Redskins have offered a two-year contract extension to head coach Joe Gibbs, according to a source.

Owner Daniel Snyder has said he's confident he can convince the Hall of Fame coach, who is in his second stint with the Redskins, to stay in Washington.

In his 16th season coaching in the NFL, Gibbs' Redskins are 7-7 this year. Washington's playoff hopes are still alive as the Redskins stand two games behind the New York Giants and one game back of the Vikings with two games left in the season.

Gibbs' legacy in Washington was cemented during his first stay with the Redskins from 1981 to 1992. He led Washington to three NFL titles in four Super Bowl appearances. During that tenure he had a 124-60 record during the regular season and amassed a 16-5 postseason mark for a .762 winning percentage.

Gibbs returned to Washington for the 2004 season and has gone 28-34 since ending his NFL retirement.

I can't wait to see how this will play out later on tonight after the game, if Washington wins, fans will be saying Gibbs is the greatest thing since sliced bread and is well deserved of getting an extension.  A short 3 weeks ago, fans wanted his head on a silver platter and wanted him run out of town.  What a fickle, fair weathered bunch Redskin fans are, this is a big part of the reason I am not a Redskin fan.

And as a started to boot, This is well deserved and a class move,  If Sean was still with us, he still would have made the pro bowl with no problem,  nuff said.

Greetings from Tampa again,

Well Skins fans, I got to see your team in person today as my brother is a Bucs season ticket holder.  I have to say, I saw as many, if not more Redskin jerseys and tee shirts in Raymond James Stadium than Buccaneers jerseys and tee shirts, pretty impressive site.  I was wearing a Dallas hat which prompted a bunch of "you guys were lucky last week" statements from Skins fans lol.

First, I want to say.....be thankful that Jeff Garcia got hurt because the score would have been like 28-13 instead of 19-13.  When Bruce Gradkowski came in for Tampa, their offense left the stadium lol.  Second, I have to admit, the Skins can move the ball when they need to, problem is, the offense, in person..... is too predictible and Tampa's defense is better than I thought.

Jason Campbell will be a star in this league, yes, you heard that from a Cowboys fan, hard to admit, but the man is impressive in person, he just needs the right coaching to put him over the top.  It looked like Portis and Moss tried to make things happen early in the game but it lead to turnovers each time.

All in all, it was a pretty exciting game. Gibbs went for it on 4th and inches.....I didn't expect Portis to be stuffed like he was....gutsy call on Gibbs part, you can't fault him for that.  This is just where the Skins were in 2005, with a 5-6 record, this time, I don't think they can run the table.  I have a feeling that the Dallas game Dec 30 might mean something for the Skins if they are to get into the playoffs.
