So, despite ALL THE STUDIES, REPORTS, AND FINDINGS from the ATF, NRA, and all the state sponsored studies Showing that Gun BAN's don't help crime statistics.  Gun Bans are only followed by law abiding people, the Bad guys don't obey the laws, so they would most likely have banned weapons too.

What is puzzling, is that the slow witted political hacks are not too well educated (ACTUALLY, THEY ARE VASTLY STUPID) in the Mayors office, and even Ellenor Holmes Norton offices.  I guess liberal policies do not require scientific or statistical evidence to back up their reasons for wanting a gun ban.

You can't teach old stupid clueless dogs ANY NEW TRICKS.

Who would gain from a new gun ban?

The DC politicos, are nothing more than a bunch of self serving, money grabbing, do nothing for the people, ubiquitous, fools.
A few examples:
Did they EVER manage to get the schools up to code LAST school year ....yet?? Are they even bothering to prepare for the achool next year...YET?
Marion Barry
Eleanor Holmes Norton
The now so-called advent of a needed(sic) soccer stadium.
You get the picture.

Mayor Fenty belongs to NY mayor Bloomberg's Coalition of Mayors Against Guns. That pretty much says it all.
Can you imagine being in the hot seat a year or two from now when, after the ban is lifted, crime stats have gone down and having to explain why?Besides,if crime stats go down then the government funding will dry up and no-one wants that now do they?

Mountaineerfan, isn't it odd how money seems to always be a factor and gets into the picture somehow?

The important question is WHY fenty and his fools don't read the studies? Why must they keep up the 1960's BS about a gun ban that NEVER WORKED, and VIOLATED DC residence rights!

Why isn't Fenty and his thugs smart enough to see he truth?

DC Dolts KNOW the studies, but are going against the best interests of the citizens. Looks like yet another reason to remove the idiot.

Since DC has one of the highest vehicular accident rates in the maybe they should ban cars in DC.

. . . ."A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". . . .

although technically D.C.'s not a state, i think they're entitled to defend themselves in their own homes with whatever they can get their hands on.

semi and automatic should have nothing to do with it. fingerprinting, and registration i totally agree with.

"Why isn't Fenty and his thugs smart enough to see he truth?"

Y3 you might not know it but I already answered this one when I said "Fenty belongs to NY mayor Bloomberg's Coalition of Mayors Against Guns".
To clarify he belongs to an anti-gun organization founded by an elitist snob who openly admits to knowing nothing whatsoever about gun laws yet keeps begging for more just so he can claim "I'm doing something".BTW,Bloomberg didn't mind committing a few felonies along the way either with his vigilante "straw purchase" sting operation. He also didn't mind talking Wal-Mart into committing felonies in ever one of their stores by holding onto firearms sales records for longer than the maximum allowable 60 days. Now what kind of BLEEP do you think he's been tauting to the other mayors? If you wanna know just ask the several dozen or so mayors who have joined with his organization and then left after feeling like they had been tricked into joining an anti-2nd Amemndment organization.

This means Fenty will be unable to cite facts in his defense of any gun ban. He can't help but look like an idiot....Oh, wait...TOO LATE!

Maybe if guns were legal, Fenty's family members couldn't get rich selling guns in DC Alleys...Maybe if guns were legal, Chief Lanier would think twice before she personally cleared Officer Involved Shootings (when the officers are her friends)...Maybe if guns were legal, DC government officials would think TWICE before screwing the tax payers...

Maybe if the DC Superior Court Judges didn't need to see proctologists, and the punishment ACTUALLY fit the crime -- crime would go down.

Maybe -- the thugs would think twice about robbing Grandma if they thought for one second she was armed -- as it is they know she isn't and DC Police will get there LONG after the thugs are gone...unless the thug is a DC Police Officer rehired by Lanier....

Now I'm curious about y'all. How many of you guys live in the District of Columbia? How many of you guys live in multiresidentials that aren't gated? I don't think there are any facts to go on. The Supreme Court Judges probably never lived in an ungated poor community. Why do rich people have the right to protect their land and poor people don't have that right. Why do you think that you should case the joint where poor people live without gates or secure access.

My goodness, I visited my aunt in a good nursing home and it was awful Scary. She told us never to bring her anything. She had one drawer which she pointed to. A long narrow one. She kept it locked. Really scared me about getting old. It might happen to me yet. I do live in an ungated multiresidential in Maryland. People are really tricky. What with cell phones and laptops and spy glasses, everyone can spy on every one else. Kids see all this. They are interested in overriding security. I wouldn't even trust a condominium living now. Why invest in people in the USA. I had to get a p.o.box because I don't trust the mailman. People don't like the way I think. I will not believe in heaven or hell. I only will trust YHWH. That scares other people. They don't want their kids to hear this. So they get angry. War is all about Gods after all is said and done. It's about smoking. If people didn't smoke, then I think that there would be no drug problem because then you break the law and you are responsible for breaking the law. However smoke gets in the way. Stop fighting for the right to sm

(cont) smoke maryjane. Start fighting for the right to cannabis medications prescribed by doctors. Research on the hemp plant and tobacco plant. Above all fight for the right for residents to protect themselves in their own community the way they want to. If they draw an invisible fence around their homes, and the landlords agree, then the fence exists. Why do we have to have physical fences. Why can't we trust and respect invisible fences and keep strangers out? On Sunday demand your ministers to sermonize on what is a heavenly community here on the Planet Earth. There is no hope. No respect. Only violence. Smoke gets in your eyes you know. The movies tell me all my life that guns and smoke go hand in hand.

"How many of you guys live in multiresidentials that aren't gated?"

Somehowe I doubt anyone here lives in a gated community.I am,however, all for fencing off D.C. In fact I'll kick off the "Buy a foot of fence" campaign by pledging the first foot.

Boots said "The Supreme Court Judges probably never lived in an ungated poor community"

Thanks for making that comment Boots. It inspired me to do some research into the actual life stories of the Supreme Court justices.Very interesting. It just so happens that the only member who grew up anywhere near priviledged was Judge Stephen Breyer,a liberal who voted to keep the handgun ban in place and who grew up in a fairly wealthy upper middle class Jewish `hood....sorta like you huh Boots? Now that you've got yer foot in your mouth do you wanna stop there or go for the whole leg?

"How many of you guys live in the District of Columbia?"

I lived in Cheverly/Seabrook for a year and a half.I lived in Pittsburg for over a year and lived in Newark/Wilmington,De. for a year and a half.Good enough?

"Why do rich people have the right to protect their land and poor people don't have that right."

That's funny because us gun rights activists have been asking that for years.I find that question odd coming from you,the consumate anti-gunner.
