People.....LOCK YOUR DOORS!
At least give yourself a fighting chance!
Montgomery County police detectives looking into the 'suspicious' death of a Bethesda woman hope to use her vehicle to establish a timeline. Police have not definitively linked it to a recent series of home invasion robberies, but one victim of the serial intruder says the case sounds similar to what he experienced.
Mary Havenstein, 63, was found dead in her home in the 8900 block of Seven Locks Road about 8:45 a.m. Thursday morning. She had been tied up. Investigators believe someone broke into her home, but they are not sure anything was stolen. Her car, a 2006 Cadillac DTS, was recovered about 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Forston Street near University Boulevard in Takoma Park. Takoma Park!
Correct me if I am wrong here, but isn't that a designated"Sanctuary City" for illegal aliens?? Are we taking any bets?

While I am all for freedom of speech, this is nothing more than grafitti and just a big eyesore for the rest of the community.

The large pro-immigrant billboard is being dismantled before a court hearing could have forced Fernandez to remove it from his property.
The 12-by-40-foot homemade sign was built on Guadencio Fernandez's property in a residential area more than a year ago to protest what he called "racist" policies that target illegal immigrants. There is nothing "racist" about the policies, they are criminals, plain and simple. Supporters have called the billboard "the liberty wall" for its location on Liberty Street. The sign was created on a wall left from a home Fernandez owned that was destroyed by fire in 2006. About time to clean up the mess I would say.
Manassas city officials have cited Fernandez several times for failing to obtain a proper permit for the sign. They also accused him of allowing garbage, rodents and snakes to make the site an eyesore. An A-typical illegal attitude towards America and our laws.

The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win. There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the end of the week would win the election. Therefore, it was decided that there should be an ice-fishing contest between the two candidates to determine the winner. After much of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the contest take place on a remote frozen lake in northern Minnesota. There were to be no observers present, and both men were to be sent out separately on this isolated lake and return at 5 P.M. with their catch for counting and verification by a team of neutral parties. At the end of the first day, John McCain returned to the starting line and he had ten fish.
Soon, Obama returned and had no fish. Well, everyone assumed he was just having another 'bad hair' day or something and hopefully, he would catch up the next day. At the end of the 2nd day John McCain came in with 20 fish and Obama came in again with none. That evening, Harry Reid got together secretly with Obama and said, 'Obama, I think John McCain is a low-life, cheating son-of-a-gun. I want you to go out tomorrow and don't even bother with fishing. Just spy on him and see just how he is cheating.' The next night, after John McCain returns with 50 fish, Harry said to Obama, ‘Well, tell me, how is John McCain cheating?' Obama replied, 'Harry, you're not going to believe this, but that low down cheater is cutting holes in the ice.'

A Harrisonburg man, Edwin Roberto Mendez, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to obtain bogus Ohio identification cards for illegal aliens in Virginia. He was accused of taking three illegal aliens to Ohio in October to obtain fraudulent IDs. Mendez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate federal immigration laws and aggravated identity fraud.
He faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 10. ONLY 7 years?? Why not make it 25? I wonder how many MORE were obtained, that the authorities(sic) are not aware of?
Five co-defendants also have pleaded guilty and two others are awaiting trial.
Federal prosecutors said Ohio was chosen because its Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices are franchises that can be obtained by individual state contractors. I would say that it is time fix that little error in Ohio's MVA.

Victoria, Texas - Immigration Changes help business
Victoria, Texas is a town about 80 miles west of Houston.
Local Hispanic leaders in the area of Victoria, Texas in opposition to pending Immigration Legislation, boycotted all Caucasian owned businesses in the Victoria area as a demonstration of their economic impact on the community.
The Hispanic community declared the boycott was a success. Noting that revenue in Caucasian owned businesses was down by an average of 19%.
Business owners declared the boycott a success as well, pointing out that shoplifting was reduced by 77%, money orders sent out of the country were down by 97%, and the cost of daily clean-up and trash collection was down by 84%. Shoppers reported that they could actually hear English being spoken throughout the community for the first time in recent memory, and that customers actually paid for purchases with real money, not government debit cards!
You just have to love the irony here.
I hope they do this in my community too!

On Monday, people near the D.C. jail were stunned to see a double amputee, Michael Dobson, making his way from the facility to the bus stop with no wheelchair. Dobson lost his legs to diabetes. He claims the D.C. jail took his wheelchair and never gave it back.
Dobson's upset because he says his favorite chair was taken from him at the D.C. jail after he got into an argument with a guard.
"They punished me and they said, 'That ain't enough, let's take his chair from him,'" Dobson claimed.
He said they put him in solitary confinement for two weeks, until his release last Monday. Dobson claims jail officials told him they didn't have his chair.
"They brought two chairs," recalled Dobson. "Those chairs {were} terrible. I said, 'I can't see myself sitting in something like that, regardless of where I'm going.'" D.C. corrections officials declined to be interviewed for the story, but denied they had Dobson's wheelchair. So Dobson left without any wheelchair, walking on his knees from the correctional treatment facility to the bus stop.
Dobson eventually accepted a chair so he could ride the bus home.
Even though this guy has some serious issues, Dobson was sent to D.C. jail for 60 days after he had assaulted a woman who tried to help him up a hill. "I hit her on the leg and hit her on the arm," he said. What kind of people TAKE and KEEP a wheelchair from it's owner? Unbelievable!

HOW THE FIGHT STARTED
A man and a woman were asleep like two innocent babies. Suddenly, at 3 o'clock in the morning, a loud noise came from outside. The woman sort of bewildered, jumped up from the bed and yelled at the man 'Holy cr*p, that must be my husband!' So the guy quickly jumped out of the bed, scared and naked he jumped out the window like a crazy man. He smashed himself on the ground, ran through a thorn bush and then started to run as fast as he could to his car. A few minutes later he returned and went up to the bedroom and screamed at the woman, 'I AM YOUR HUSBAND!'
The woman yelled back, 'Yeah, then why were you running?'
And that my friends and folks, is how the fight started.

This is something that is as stupid as that "Running With The Bulls' so called tradition.
Spanish revelers in Bunol, Spain, pelted each other with 113 tons of ripe tomatoes in an annual food fight. The town hall says an estimated 40,000 people took part in the hour of messy fun in the village of Bunol near Valencia. The ritual dates back to the 1940's. Some warriors in Wednesday's battle wore swimming goggles to protect themselves from the acid sting of projectiles in the form of pear-shaped tomatoes. Others swatted them away with tennis rackets. Afterward, many washed off in a nearby river while crews hosed down a town painted red.
While I am all for a little good fun, isn't this a bit excessive in the amount of food wasted? 113 tons of tomatoes could have done a world of difference for many a many a starving families somewhere else, yet the food was destroyed and the majority of it went down the storm sewers. Am I wrong?

"There is a sucker born every minute."
If it sounds too good to be true, well then .........it probably is.
The Arlington County Police Department Financial Crime Unit is investigating a pair of con artists who have been preying on northern Virginia residents with a fraudulent lottery ticket scheme.
The Police have described the usual approach used by their suspects in the fraud scheme. Two people will approach a stranger and claim to have a winning lottery ticket that they are afraid to redeem because they are in the country illegally. By targeting Spanish speakers, they gain the victim's trust, and seek help in getting the ticket cashed. The victim agrees to help cash the ticket, and the suspects then ask for a large amount of money so that they can trust the victim to come back. Once the victim discovers that the ticket is fake, the suspects and the money the victim turned over are gone.
Somehow I just don't really feel too sorry for the victims here.

Unlicensed Drivers

Leaders in Manassas Park and Herndon are demanding a crackdown on people driving through northern Virginia without driver's licenses, where the number of tickets given out has grown by 700% in some communities.
More and more as police pull someone over for a traffic violation in Herndon, the person behind the wheel doesn't have a driver's license and likely never did. During 2002 in Herndon, around 100 tickets were issued for the problem, but five years later, police wrote 756 tickets. The penalty usually amounts to a fine, but now some in the area want the law to allow police to impound vehicles to keep illegal drivers off the road.
"I think pulling the car would definitely change everybody's thinking about whether they have a license or don't have a license," said motorist Manvir Singh.
Getting a license at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Virginia requires tests, training and two forms of legal identification, which is an issue for illegal immigrants. I guess this IS an issue with illegal aliens. Maybe they should go back to wherever they came from.
"The vast majority that are unlicensed are [ineligible] to get a license in this state or any other state," said Herndon police Lieutenant Jeff Coulter.
Making the law tougher will be a statewide debate, but at the heart of it is safety on the roads. Why should the safety of the LEGAL citizens raise any debate at all?

At one point during a little league baseball game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside and asked, 'Do you understand what cooperation is?
What a team is?'
The little boy nodded in the affirmative.
'Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?'
The little boy again nods yes.
'So,' the coach continued, ' I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call him a pecker-head. Do you understand all that?'
Once again the little boy nods in agreement.
He continued, 'And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach 'a dumb A-hole,' is it?
Again the little boy nodded.
'Good,' said the coach. 'Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother.'

BIG surprise here!
Family, friends and neighbors are demanding answers after a man was gunned down by an off-duty police officer, during the victim's party in Langley Park. Manuel Espina died when he and his son got into an argument with an off duty PG County policeman, who was moonlighting as security that night .
Officer Steven Jackson's statement to investigators, says he approached Manuel Espina and his son Manuel Jr. after he spotted them drinking in public. The men attacked then dragged the officer into the apartment building where they live and began to beat him. Officer Jackson, says he used his pepper spray and baton and then was forced to use his gun, fatally shooting the father in the stomach.
Civil right advocates who gathered with the grieving family near the hallway where the shooting occurred are outraged. "Every time a person is intoxicated, it does not mean he deserves a death sentence," said Dorothy Copp-Elliott, People's Coalition for Police Brutality. "People's Coalition FOR Police Brutality???" help me out here folks, FOR Police Brutality??

Two men, Tony Eli, 38, and Kevin Eli, 20, of Orlando, Florida, have been arrested for using a 2-year-old to steal pricey electronics from a Fredericksburg Target store.
They were arrested Monday and charged with felony shoplifting, conspiracy to commit shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to police, the men paid for some of the items in their shopping cart at the Central Park Target store, but did not pay for video games and a portable gaming device placed under a 2-year-old girl also in the cart. The men were reportedly acting suspicious and spotted by store officials. Police say the two men were relatives of the little girl, and were in the area visiting family. Such a wonderful loving family this must be!!
