Raise your hand if you thought the issue of race would never rear its ugly head in the campaign for President.
Right....no hands. But it sure didn't take long...Neither candidate has the official nod of his party.
Round one...the latest McCain ad suggests Obama is a celebrity...the likes of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
Round two...Obama tells a Missouri crowd...it's just a scare tactic...because he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bill.
Round three....the McCain camp says Obama's playing the race card...
   Are you feeling this one?
    Hit me back.

How much is your personal laptop worth?....It has all your records, photos, personal information....

You take it in for service....and the retailer loses it....You try for months to get some help....some answers....and come up empty handed.

That's the story a D-C woman tells....it's what prompted her to file a lawsuit.....for $54 million.

That's the same amount the Judge sued for in the infamous pants case.
He lost..

She says she's just trying to get the store's attention....and get them to change the way they do things.

What do you think?

It's a hot topic across the country....especially within the African-American community.

There seems to be a split between those who think it's okay for blacks to use the word "in the family"....as a term of endearment.  Others say no one should use the derogatory term.

Last week the NAACP held a mock funeral....calling for the burial of the "N" word.

But at a hip-hop forum I recently covered....some rappers argued against banning it.  They say for young people....the racial slur has a different meaning.

What do you think?

There are two sides to every story....and it's my job as a reporter to try and get them both...

Tonight...I followed a story we first reported last week.

Allegations from former members that a branch of Alcoholics Anonymous (The Midtown group) is run like a cult.

We haven't been able to get anyone from Midtown to talk.....So I tracked down a meeting tonight....

Left the camera behind....identified myself as a reporter....and asked someone from the group to respond to the accusations.

I was told they couldn't...citing AA's tradition of not speaking publicly about group issues.

It's very frustrating for me as a reporter.....I'd love to hear from viewers

It's heartbreaking....a second child in just two months is struck and killed on D.C. streets.

Now there's talk of taking a look at slowing traffic on troubled streets citywide.

Many of those routes are likely where commuters are already trying to beat gridlock.

But more stop signs, speed bumps, traffic lights could all lead to longer waits and cranky commuters.

How do you balance it all? Is there a way to save lives...but still beat the backup?

What are your thoughts?
