McCain was amazing! I loved the eight times Obama agreed with McCain, as McCain smiled at each one! McCain's military experience on focusing on the issues, and not giving the enemy eye contact. Spot On!

I particularly got stuck on two things...

1. Obama's pronunciation of Pakistan. I totally missed what he was saying because I couldn't get passed that. Thats my fault, not his though.

2. Obama's arrogance in saying "When I'm President." Umm, excuse me? This isn't in the bag. He should have said "As President" or "In an Obama administration."

Overall I would call the debate McCain's. Obama held up ok in Foreign Policy, but it clearly isn't his strong suit, and I felt McCain clearly showed his experience and expertise in that area.

On the economic side of it, Obama made it clear he intends to keep on spending tax payer dollars even though there won't be any because we have to pay back this $700b. McCain said one thing that really stood out to me - Freeze Spending. That is exactly what our gov't needs to do so they can get a handle on our economy.

I thought the same thing on the when I'm President comment too.

I loved how McCain wouldn't even look at Obama, then acted like he had just read his response and replied.

I also found that Obama saying he was right 8 times was great.

I loved it when Shawn Hannity said it was a regurgitated speech that was memorized! lol I also noticed the way he was saing Pakistan. I clearly think he showed his inexperience in foreign affairs. McCain definitely rattled his cage. Too me, it looked like McCain was talking to a child, who lacked the knowledge of it all. McCain put a bit in his mouth quite a few times.

wasn't it interesting how Obama repeatedly avoided direct answer of what programs /initiatives he's been proposing in his campaign that probably wouldn't any longer be affordable given the severity that's developed in the nation's economic-financial woes...

…without all the "feel good" stuff his campaign has been eluding to the debate pretty well established in my view there's nothing else his campaign has ever been prepared to consider so he is where he is with no plan B or direction to follow that's known ...so what would someone be votin' for him for ???

…as was brought out, Obama’s naivety and almost total absence of effectiveness in “committee” responsibilities representing our nation’s member status in NATO doesn’t paint a promising picture that he can be relied on for much effectiveness as a nation leader in national or international security …

beagle-buddy,

The problem is that the dems don't seem to care about those issues????

The real leader is at Washington trying to avoid a catastrophic event. Actions speak so much louder than words.

I can't stand all the yelling Obama and Biden does in there speeches. It's like being a Rev. Whright's church! They give you Migraine headache.

you know mom I can't stand they're yellin' and wailin’ either but at this juncture I look upon it helpful in turnin' so called "undecideds" to McCain cause Obama-Biden style of whining doesn't attract those who a sense of individual strength to see BS! ...

As a voter who is still on the fence, I wasn't impressed by either of them. I found they both had good points and bad. I did however notice that McCain needs to not become flustered so he can get his point across. I noticed that on several occasions. Obama talks well, yet he says nothing. I found them both to be respectful of each other though. I don't think there was a clear cut winner, as they both held their own. As for me my vote, neither managed to get me off the fence yet.

Sen McCain wouldn't look at Sen Obama, and you find that interesting? How? When the President meets with foreign leaders, He needs to not only look at them, but acknowledge and give respect.

I find it very disrespecting when talking with an individual and they want look at you. In that regard, Sen McCain was very disrespectful.

As for Sen Obama agree and saying Sen McCain was right, I'm sure he was referring to something Sen McCain said about his own party, that they both agreed upon.

"Obama don't understand", would be a great comment to use on Gov Palin.
