The Republican National Convention's entire Monday night program, including an address by President Bush, apparently will be canceled as national attention focuses on Hurricane Gustav, House Minority Leader John Boehner said today.

"It just wouldn't be appropriate to have a festive occasion while a near tragedy or a terrible challenge is presented in the form of a natural disaster," McCain said in an interview taped Saturday with "Fox News Sunday." "So we're monitoring it from day to day, and I'm saying a few prayers, too."  

"It is doubtful that there will be any kind of program tomorrow night" when the four-day convention was scheduled to commence, he told reporters. "The convention is going to be handled on a day-to-day basis."

There are some people here that think the people of New Orleans need to be told exactly what is going on. Other than the fact a powerful hurricane that could very well become a cat 5 is bearing down on them and they need to get out. What else can be said??

Well PLENTY has been said already by the Democrats!

I thought this same question after I found this video.
Now before we watch the radar of Gustav bearing down on New Orleans.

Please watch this video clip of former Democratic National Committee Chairman Don Fowler, and John Spratt, a Dem Congressman from South Carolina commenting on those people of New Orleans.
They see this potential disaster as proof GOD likes them. How arrogant is that?
(Do they think the Republicans will be blamed again or are they banking on that mentality?)
Or is it they see it as a wonderful op to distract the American public from the RNC?

Sometimes you really have to wonder at what cost some are willing to see their political ideology advanced.
