It seems to me Obama is a great flawless speaker when it come to speeches that have been prepared to make a statement.
But when he is asked questions not of the norm or on something that directly effects him. Without the prearrange answer we seem to get this:
Barack Obama’s response to Anderson Cooper’s question on executive experience.
AC: Some Republican critics say, you don’t have the
experience to handle a situation like this [Hurricane Gustav]. They’ve
in fact said that Governor Palin has more executive experience as mayor
of a small town and as governor of a big state like Alaska. What’s your
response?
BO: Well, you know, my understanding is that, uh, Governor Palin’s
town of Wasilly [sic] has, uh, 50 employees, uh, uh, we’ve got 2500,
uh, in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year.
Uh, uh, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month.
Uh, so I think that, uh, our ability to manage large systems, uh, and
to, uh, execute, uh, I think has been made clear over the last couple
of years. Uh, and certainly, in terms of, uh, the legislation that I’ve
passed just dealing with this issue post-Katrina, uh, of how we handle
emergency management. The fact that, uh, many of my recommendations
were adopted and are being put in place, uh, as we speak indicates to
extent to which we can provide the kinds of support and good service
that the American people expect.
(UH count for this answer: 17)
Once you get passed the stammering and babbling that we’ve come to
accept from Obama, its pretty clear that, as usual, Obama has no idea
what he’s talking about. As Morrissey notes, Governor Palin is no
longer the mayor of “Wasilly,” but the Governor of the state of Alaska
that has a massive budget and workforce. If McCain and Palin repeatedly
referred to Obama as “Community Organizer Obama” the Obama campaign
would be up in arms, so I don’t know why the Obama campaign is allowed
to ignore Governor Palin’s gubernatorial experience without any
consequence.
He then goes on to claim that campaigning itself gives him the
necessary executive experience to run this country. So, if we were to
hold McCain/Palin to the same standard as we hold Obama (which, I’m
sure Obama has a reason why we shouldn’t) all four contenders have
executive experience, with McCain’s Naval squadrons and Palin’s
Governorship pushing the Republicans over the top.
Heres a video of when all of a sudden during a town hall speech Obama's teleprompter went out. Can you tell the second it goes off? I can.
Let's watch:

I was just surfing around and found this nice little gem. After clearing the tears of laughter from my eyes I thought I would share this.
Kinda reminds me of some bloggers right here on this site..

What a spitfire that woman is!!
No wonder they call her a Barracuda!
She didn't deliver a hit tonight with her speech, she didn't even get a Home Run.
IT WAS A GRAND SLAM!!
That woman is going to help lead this country in a proud honorable direction and make this country the great nation it was in the past.
I am so stoked hearing her speech tonight!! The Democrats better put some time in at the gym. IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT FIGHT!!

The press has changed from judging her to praise of the highest caliber.
The story where America can grow and succeed has begun people!!

I was searching the web just a bit ago looking up Obama's Parents and found some very interesting things, allow me to share these facts:
Barack Obama's Mother was born November, 29 1942.
11/29/42
Barack's parents were married February, 2 1961. (With Sr committing BIGAMY)
2/2/61
Barack's mothers age at time of marriage? 18.18 years old
18.18
Barack Obama Jr is born August, 4 1961 a healthy 8 pound 2 ounce baby.
9/4/61
Barack Obama's mothers age at Juniors birth. 18.69
18.69
By these figure and dates I factored in the date on which little Junior was conceived. I estimate November, 3 1960.
11/3/60
That would put
mommy Obama at age 17.93 at age of conception.
17.93 years of age.Maybe now we know EXACTLY why Obama is asking his supporters to not make an issue of this.
Who knows Palin's Grandchild may be the next mesiah too!
YOU DO THE MATH!!!
DISCUSS THAT!

Rev Wright In a Houston, Texas church yesterday, and in his sermon Wright seemed
to take some of the credit for turning an "ordinary boy" into the
"extraordinary" candidate we see today:
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright,
Barack Obama's fiery ex-pastor, re-emerged yesterday with a crude
reference about race and sex in the White House.
"This ordinary boy [Obama] just might be the first president in the
history of the United States to have a black woman sleeping at 1600
Pennsylvania legally," Wright said, referring to Michelle Obama, in a
sermon at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.
It was unclear whether Wright was making a reference to
prostitution, to old miscegenation laws, or to the history of illicit
interracial sex under slavery.
Wright's remarks yesterday were full of praise for Obama - although several times, he
referred to Obama as a "boy" who later developed into an extraordinary
person, through God's work and, presumably, Wright's guidance.
"The lord turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. Y'all just saw
it this past week. It was on national television," Wright said to
applause.
"An ordinary black boy (age 27) raised in a single-parent home . (Didn't his Grandparents raise him?). . walked
into my office 20 years ago to talk about his dream for a community
that concentrated on things that we could achieve in common."

Of course, that's exactly what we should be concerned about - that
Barack Obama is very much a person who has been greatly influenced by
the radical anti-American views of Jeremiah Wright and other associates.

I keep reading posts of how Palin is the wrong choice for VP.
I hear :
She is too young, she has no experience, she has a vagina and the most sounded out she has children and those should be her first priority.
I submit to you that Sarah Palin is the picture perfect direction the Republican party should be going in.
A mother, a wife, a conservative and a person who cares about America and the people.
We will hear "oh that woman should be home taking care of her kids, until Nov.Well take a good look at this photo.

Does it look like the kids have or will be neglected when she is in office? ( I am aware her recent child is not pictured but IS included in the analogy)
Her son is in Iraq right now defending democracy as you read this blog! Don't you think she would think out every move the military would make if elected?
I think Palin was and is a wonderful choice, mainly to show McCain doesn't think like all the other Republicans. People seem to forget although in office during Bush admin and voting in favor of some Bush policies (which BIDEN also did) he is regarded as a liberal Republican. I think this shows he WILL be different than other Republicans and his choice of VP proves that.
Obama picked Biden, who was quoted just a week or so before accepting the offer. He did
NOT want to be asked. But if asked he would
HAVE TO say yes, MAINLY because he couldn't say NO to the first African American nominee. He took a job he didn't want, from a man he doesn't think can handle the job. Now there's a great VP pick!
Say all you want about Sarah Palin, but to me she is 100% American and I would be proud to see her eventually become President after her next 2 terms as VP.

***UPDATE of RNC*******************************
The Republican National Convention's entire Monday night program,
including an address by President Bush, apparently will be canceled as
national attention focuses on Hurricane Gustav, House Minority Leader
John Boehner said today.
"It just wouldn't be appropriate to have a festive occasion while a
near tragedy or a terrible challenge is presented in the form of a natural disaster," McCain said in an interview taped Saturday with "Fox News Sunday." "So we're monitoring it from day to day, and I'm saying a few prayers, too."
"It is doubtful that there will be any kind of program tomorrow
night" when the four-day convention was scheduled to commence, he told
reporters. "The convention is going to be handled on a day-to-day
basis."
********************************
There are some people here that think the people of New Orleans need to be told exactly what is going on. Other than the fact a powerful hurricane that could very well become a cat 5 is bearing down on them and they need to get out. What else can be said??
Well PLENTY has been said already by the Democrats!
"What is going on?"
I thought this same question after I found this video.
Now before we watch the radar of Gustav bearing down on New Orleans.
Please watch this video clip of former Democratic National Committee Chairman Don Fowler, and John Spratt, a Dem Congressman from South Carolina commenting on those people of New Orleans.
They see this potential disaster as proof GOD likes them. How arrogant is that?
(Do they think the Republicans will be blamed again or are they banking on that mentality?)
Or is it they see it as a wonderful op to distract the American public from the RNC?
Sometimes you really have to wonder at what cost some are willing to see their political ideology advanced.
Transcript:
The hurricane’s going to hit New Orleans about the time they start.
[Chuckle] The timing is — at least it appears now that it’ll be there
Monday. That just demonstrates that God’s on our side. [Laughter] …
Everything’s cool.
Democrats laughing at the oncoming disaster. nice!“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in
heaven,” Moore said, laughing. “To have it planned at the same time –
that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the
Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the
Mississippi River.”.......... M Moore

F AIRHOPE, ALA. — The event was planned and advertised weeks ago: At
the new Fairhope Museum of History, officials would open a city safe
that had been unused since 1971.
What would be inside? Nothing? Old city records?
This week, a crowd of nearly 30 Fairhopers watched as locksmith
Nevitt Baker lifted away its heavy, black door. A musty smell filled
the room, and the crowd laughed as news cameras and curious locals
closed in on the open safe. One woman rushed her young son out of the
museum, saying she didn't want him to see what was inside.
A few called out the obvious — its bottom shelves were filled with
marijuana. The vault apparently had last been used by police
investigators to stash drug evidence.
"Here is somebody's name, somebody I remember, who would be terribly
embarrassed right now," said Donnie Barrett, the museum's director,
later Thursday as he examined a label attached to one of several
matchboxes filled with dry, 37-year-old dope. "It looks like a whole
bunch of dope is what we've found here. I wish it was a little bit more
than that."
Why was this evidence left behind or forgotten?
"That's not the sort of historical question we'd wanted to have to ask," Barrett said.
Soon, police Cpl. Brett Murray confiscated the old contraband. He
said he and his friends had speculated about the safe's contents since
they were young, when it was in a building used by the Police
Department. But its combination had been lost and its door had been
painted shut, he said.
Murray said he'd have the evidence placed in the department's
current evidence vault for later processing or disposal by
investigators.
Among items in the safe were a green diary with a peace symbol drawn
on its front, a cup containing a collection of small bags of marijuana,
a few rolled joints, several matchboxes and small manila envelopes
containing more marijuana with accompanying written materials, some
drafted by officers and others by witnesses.
"I'm a little disappointed that we didn't find a lot of history. We found a lot of dope," Barrett said.

BERLIN — An American hiker stranded in the Bavarian Alps for nearly
three days was rescued after using her sports bra as a signal, police
in southern Germany said today.
Berchtesgaden police officer Lorenz Rasp said that he helped lift
24-year-old Jessica Bruinsma of Colorado state to safety by helicopter
on Thursday after she attracted the attention of lumberjacks by
attaching her sports bra to a cable used to move timber down the
mountain.
"She's a very smart girl, and she acted very resourcefully," said
Rasp.
An Alpine rescue team, including five helicopters and 80 emergency
workers, had been searching for Bruinsma since she went missing June 16
after losing her way in bad weather while hiking with a friend near the
Austrian border.
She fell 16.4 feet to a rocky overhang, where she spent the next 70
hours on the narrow ledge, sustained by water that she found by
breaking into a supply box on the ledge.
She badly bruised a leg and dislocated a shoulder in the fall, and the cliff was too isolated for her to climb free, Rasp said.
Rasp said the cable was only within reach because the timber
transport system was out of service. When a repairman restored the line
on Thursday, the cable car started moving up the mountain and
Bruinsma's bra reached the worker at the base. He knew of the missing
hiker and immediately called police.
Rasp said his team followed the cable line up the cliff side in a
helicopter and found Bruinsma standing on the ledge, waving with her
good arm. After circling once, they lowered a winch to Bruinsma and
lifted her aboard.
"She did so well because she is in very good shape," Rasp said. "She
has been training for a marathon — her goal is to finish in 3 hours and
10 minutes."
Bruinsma told Rasp that she has scrapped plans to stay in
Berchtesgaden to learn German and plans to return home to Colorado
Springs with her parents. He said she still plans to run the marathon,
if she recovers in time to keep training.

BERLIN — A German man doused his BMW with gasoline and torched it on today in protest at skyrocketing fuel costs, police said.
The unemployed 30-year-old man drove the black 1995 BMW 3-series
sedan onto the lawn outside Frankfurt's convention center grounds at
about 7:30 a.m., police spokesman Karlheinz Wagner said.
He then jumped out, emptied a canister of gas over the vehicle, and set fire to it, Wagner said.
By the time the fire department got to the scene, the car was entirely burned out.
The Bavarian man, whose name was being withheld because he has not
been charged with a crime, told police that gas prices were so high he
could no longer afford to drive the vehicle.
As in many countries, gasoline prices have risen steadily in
Germany; a liter of regular gasoline now costs about euro1.55, or $9.40
per gallon.

Police were investigating whether the man could be charged with
violating German environmental laws with the stunt, Wagner said.
Penalties range from fines to five years in prison.

Easton , MD
A young (18 year old) black male was seen by the police without a shirt on (which is against the law in this town). He was approached by a police officer and advised of the LAW (although a silly one it's still a law). The youth decided it was a silly law and refused to comply. This shows NO RESPECT for the law or Police officer. So the cop tells him again and advises him he will get ticketed if he does not comply now. The youth mouths off and still refuses spouting the temperature outside (like the police officer wearing a vest and shirt isn't aware of the temp). When asked for ID so he can issue the ticket, the youth takes off running. The cop catches him and issues the ticket. He was also ticketed for failing to obey a direct order to stop from a police officer.
I see nothing wrong with that boy getting fined now. I agree it's a silly law, BUT if you have a problem with it. COMPLY anyways! Then after you put that shirt back on you walk to CITY HALL and ask for the forms or info on how to have that law repealed. There are ways to get things done legally people.
Shame on FOX 5 for even reporting this as a tragedy!
