Super Singers,
Its time for another edition of THE MIC tonight at the Silver Spring Metro starting at 5pm. With the numbers we had last week, you better get there early if you want a chance to sing. Did I mention Jazz Musician Marcus Johnson is going to be there and he is the one who will be helping out at Studio 8121! We'll also have Jimmy Alexander from 107.3 entertaining the crowd, and of course FOX-5's Sue Palka will be hosting the event LIVE for our 5pm newscast.
Hope to see you out there!

I'll be there, Paul!! I hope I make it over there in time, because I work downtown and get off at 4:30. Can you tell me which side of the station you all are going to be on? Since Silver Spring is an above-ground station, if I go to the wrong side, as I did at Dupont Circle last week (someone in the newsroom told me that you were going to be on the Connecticut Avenue side), it will be a much shorter trip to the right side. At Dupont Circle, I had to ride up and down that long escalator.

Once again, thanks for an awesome Mic, Paul!! Silver Spring rocks, baby!!! I got to sing live on the air, just as I was hoping!! WOOOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!!:) I taped the whole thing at home and watched it back several times!!! It's too bad the last two Mic stations are too far away for me. But I hope you'll do this again - maybe at the end of Idol season, when the weather will be warm.:)
