Last Night listening to the Presidential debate it made me wonder what Country was I living in..?

It sounded more like Marx debating Lenin on who could increase the Federal Government more, decrease State's Rights and Destroy Liberty and Freedom Faster.

I can not believe that the 2 people running for president  have never talked about Liberty and Freedom, but instead have bragged about how they will increase the size of Government.

It is no Longer, Ask Not What this Country can Do for You, But what You can Do for your Country....    It is now What can the Government do for me...Damn the Consequences...

This is Not the Image of Freedom and Liberty Our ForeFathers invisioned for Us....this is the Image of  Tyranny they Feared and fought against.

What are we leaving to Our Children....the Light of Liberty...?

Or the Chains of Oppression?

Got news for you on the Liberty and Freedom, we are losing those more and more each and every day.

We are less free now since the Bush War began and if we were free of terrorism, then the Federal Government would tie us up moreso.

I agree with Bubba and Exerciser somewhat. We need to fire all the executives making more than the POTUS.

If companies won't do so, then we need to have their tax benefits stripped, no federal help, and make life hell for them.

answer - we are leaving to our children a mass of debt which will result in a totalarian state with the convenient name of 'democracy' and a true tax rate of around 80% and an economy in shambles.

HERE'S MORE OBAMA REALITY THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW:

* Evidence will come out next week, from the author of the Obamination book, that shows Obama traded secret emails with a presidential candidate in Kenya who lost the election in 2007, then claimed the election was rigged. This triggered islamic terrorist attacks, and a murderous rampage throughout Kenya. This has already been announced on 10/08 on the Sean Hannity radio show. The author may be appearing on the week of 10/13 on Fox News Hannity Colmes with the ACTUAL DOCUMENTS that prove this fact.

* ACORN is a controversial organization that is under investigation for submitting FALSE VOTER REGISTRATIONS in many states. Many states have already discovered and eliminated false registrations, but tens of thousands remain. ACORN is also under investigation for hiring dozens of ex-convicts. HERE'S THE SHOCKER: OBAMA WAS ACORN'S LAWYER IN THE 1990's.

I want to talk to the sensible, educated Democrats who's main concerns are protecting the environment & abortion. Understand that if someone like Obama gets elected, who lies every time he speaks, and who associates with terrorists and anti-American thugs, you may not even have a country left in which to voice your concerns. This guy has so many red flags that we may be living in a Cuba-like dictatorship. McCain is a normal person who works with Democrats. His best friend is a Democratic Senator. Vote for McCain before our country is ruined!!

Well, Patch, at least you see the SIMILARITY between the two - how BOTH have and do promote a bigger government and HUGE government spending.

As is always the case, though, between Democrats and Republicans, the difference is WHO this larger government serves and WHAT it spends its money on.

If a government IS TRULY "of the people" then a larger government IS better - the people are represented MORE that way. Health care, better roads, etc. are things that help ALL people.

The larger government McCain proposes is the same one we already have - spending BILLIONS and TRILLIONS helping the wealthiest people here and throughout the world get richer, and wasting BILLIONS on phony wars for oil profits.

But at least you got one thing right: I heard McCain say NOTHING indicating how he would accomplish his "smaller government" and "lower taxes" as he promises. Just like Bush, it is more BS BS BS BS.

Somehow, of course, the pathetic right-wing losers, facing certain defeat in a population who has HAD ENOUGH of the far-right agenda and the serious damage it has done, have to resort to pathetic ramblings like "FearObama" has posted. (Yeah, the Kenya election probably was rigged - by us - and ACORN is a fine, grass-roots organization - I used to be a member back when they started in the late '70's. Their "false" registrations are probably people who are entitled to vote but can't be proven because of their being homeless, nomadic, etc. But anything you right-wingers can do to prevent the lower classes in America from voting, you must do, of course.

Compare that,

Compare that, of course, to the obvious sleaze involved in getting Bush elected and it's just another phony right-wing crock of it.

I wonder what the big corporations are expecting the government to do for them this week, Patch. Another few hundred billion?

Sik, It's not who is paying that concerns me as much as the Fact it is happening at all.

The Corruption of Washington has not only reared it's ugly head for all to see, but has outdone itself with this Bailout. Now they want controling stakes in Banks that aren't failing.... sad

As far as ACORN... The Stories are just news stories...true or not..I couldn't tell you. I wasn't there..

Obama is a Socialist...Mccain is Right behind him in Line ....that is the Problem.... That is what is Scary about both of them. Sure They have buddies wanting a Bailout...Sure they Both get money from Wallstreet...and Now They want the Control...of it all.

I guess the Wallstreet Pals will wake up after it's too late and realize they have been snookered....or maybe they'll be Given High Positions in the Socialist/Communist One World Order that is being formed right in front of us...

Who Knows..

All I know is that Short of a "Great March On Washington" by Constitution and Freedom Loving Americans.... Or a revolution...

Nothing is going to stop them.

This stopped being about libs and conservs..rep and dem a long time ago. We are no seeing government in everything....including the prospect of them buying banks. Can you see state run health (doesn't work anywhere else in the world), state run banks, state run everything. We didn't have the Boston tea party to end up like this. We are truly dealing with taxation without representation.
We don't need to be angry at each other (libs and conservs)..we need to work together. I'm pretty conservative..but I work with a person who is pretty liberal...when we discuss things, we do it with respect...because we do respect each other personally and professionally....we both see good in each other's concepts....sometimes she wins me over...sometimes I win her over with calm, logical, sensible arguments (not yelling arguments midn you). We all get into name calling on these boards cause we can't see, hear, feel or react to the humanness (?) of the other person. In DC it's the same thing...gang mentality.
If we wish to remain a capitalist society, we are headed down the wrong path with both these guys. And by capitalist, I don't mean there isn't room for social concerns, the environment, etc. But do we really all want to basically be wards of the state? I think not.
Big gov't isn't necessarily bad....corrupt, abusive, gov't IS bad. And it's what we have now and what we will have with either of the bozos who think they are fit to run this country.

Chain's of Oppression, come from arrogance by those who are unwilling to work together.

Selfishness, greed, and total arrogance to your fellow Americans, breed the tolerance to the loss of liberty's.

This President, has embraced those views and promoted the taking away of our freedoms. Through, illegal wire tapping of it's citizens in the name of national security. The Patriot Act, and Dept. of Homeland Security. That by it's wording and Dept. mandates, can label a citizen of the United States a terrorist if the government so wishes. And now, the the takeover of our Banking system, in the name of protecting our investments.

I hear many Republicans scream about socialism being caused by the Democrats. Yet, in fact, the freedoms we enjoy are being taken away by a Republican President.
It is just a matter of time until we here, George Bush has to continue to be our leader due to national security problems. And, the Republicans, as always when hearing the call from the RNC and their beloved leader G.W. Bush, will fall right in line like good little ducks.

In this country we learn nothing from history most people could'nt honestly tell you what nationality they are...They have no idea...Most people refer to themselves as immigrants as Obama does...But that is not what are history tells us...The first settlers or land thieves as my mothers familys refer to them as patriots or warriors...Immigrants don't take land unless it's given to them...So what are we? WARRIORS...Not immigrants...There are immigrants in this country...But that is not how it all started..

I find it hard to believe that there are still so many people who choose to remain blind to believing that Obama is just another politician when he has proven so many times, and in so many ways, that he acts exactly the same way as all the other politicians.

Concerning the economy, both Obama and McCain have proven they don’t have a clue by voting for the $160Billion economic stimulus package and for the $700Billion plus bailout package. They proved that they have no understanding of what to do to make a positive difference in the economy and that their major concern was to receive the political label of being good at bipartisan efforts when everyone else had jumped on the illusionary bandwagon. The US needs a leader who can think for himself and understand the issues and priorities then choose the right solutions to protect the country and lead it to prosperity. Kind of makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over knowing that one of those two will be the next President, right?

JosephThePoet read my blog

Neither so-called economic stimulus, or economic bailout support, package properly addresses the major need to put the country back to work and create new in-country wealth, which will also result in more free flow of capital that the politicians are whining about the need to address to explain their $Trillion fiascos. The most recent announcement is the feds will buy up bank stocks. If they do not own the majority shares then the corrupt CEOs and executives can remain in place and continue to receive their abusive pay and will still have control over a business they have proven they do not know how to run; other than running it into bankruptcy. And who will decide on the value of the stocks? Will the government compete on the stock exchange to artificially increase the stock values to increase the shafting of the public? Proof of another political statement about the morally bankrupt and incompetent company executives not being able to profit from the bailout money, or of their being allowed to remain in control once taxpayers dollars are provided to the banks, has already been given to show their statement was just another politically expedient lie.

"Freedom, Liberty and Civil Rights" are nice concepts, BUT in our modern and dangerous world, they are irrelevant.

Neither party are interested in extending "Freedom" to the people. Neither party are interested in extending "Liberty" and most likely, they are not interested in "Civil Rights."

In the US Constitution, the People have the Right to call for a Constitional Convention to fix the government if the find it not responsive to the needs of the People's. This would require the a Constitional Amendment vote of 2/3 + 1 majority of the States' legislatures to pass it.

"But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other." - John Stuart Mill
