Please accept my apologies for the comment that I posted on your rant ummm I mean Blog, about  a certain candidate having a vision related problem. I assume that you felt that it was offensive to you or others so the comment deserved to be deleted.
okay, sarcasm off truth back on....
why would you delete a post that stated:

"And Mister Obama has visited all but two states (Alaska & Hawaii) but has been to 57? WTF he doesnt even know how many states there are. So you are right VOTE SMART NOT OBAMA"

I think it would be much smarter for Senator McCain to visit an eye doctor and get glasses, then to send Mister Obama back to elementary school to try to be smarter than a fifth grader.

Okay since another viewer has decided to remove my comment on their blog and I tried to place a copy on the site that appears to have been removed, I guess I will respond again but this time censor the post myself so that the person who apparently cant handle criticism.

M*%# - I have been trying and trying to stay neutral throughout this entire whining session between the Dem's & Rep's. Believe it or not when I read a blog I will usually try to visit any referenced documentation so that I may form my own opinion on the matter. Even when there is no reference I will research the topic and obtain the most information available before forming an opinion.

So since you referenced the "CREW" site as a fact of how corrupt the entire system is, I revisited the site and opened and read every page, document, and side note. (notice I said revisited, been there before).

When it comes to your statement that there are twice as many Republicans on the list as Democrats, I have no choice but to concur. The problem is that the numbers that you used are tainted. You based your assertion on the total numbers. Of their list of the top 20 only 3 have actually been indicted. Don’t you think that those that are under investigation have somewhat similar rights as the street thug? I believe that the presumption of innocence until proven guilty would still apply. Therefore, unless tried and convicted, how can anyone state that they are the most corrupt? Just because a website states something as "fact" doesn't necessarily mean it is a fact.

As for your comment "Why are some many Republicans in jail?" I am still trying to determine where you obtained your "facts" for this statement or was this just another opinion?

I hope this one can stay up for more than an hour, since I didn't specifically "call anyone out". The person whom this involves should know and please feel free to respond, I don't delete comments when I don't agree.

Okay, I cant take credit for this, I found it on another web posting site, but I think everyone may appreciate this wise old tale.

-----TRADITIONAL VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his
house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the
ant
is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter,
the
ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

*****MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his
house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays
the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and
demands
to know why the ant should be warm and well fed while others are cold
and
starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering
grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a
table
filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this
be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed
to
suffer so? Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and
everybody cries when they sing, "It's Not Easy Being Green." Jesse
Jackson
stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news
stations
film the group singing, "We shall overcome."

Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's
sake. Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with
Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper,
and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his
fair
share. Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper
Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer! The ant is fined for
failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing
left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the
government. Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper
in a
defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of
federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent
welfare recipients. The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of
the
ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be
the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house,
now
abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once
peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2008.

While listening to yesterday's newscast regarding the protest by the "ILLEGALS" by boycotting non-immigrant businesses, I could not believe what I heard. Any business owner in support of the illegals can place a green sign in their window and it notifies the ILLEGALS that the business supports there effort and that it is okay to patronize that business. One business owner stated that her business was down by 40% and she had placed the sign because she supported their efforts. What a crock of BS.

How about everyone not patronize any business that is in support of the "protest". Then maybe the economic side for the sell out business owners will really show. If not supporting their"cause" cost a business 40%, then boycotting any business that supports them should let them see a decline of 60%. I think it would be a real shame to run the sell out business to bankruptcy and see just how much their support of the "cause" would cost.

 bought a bird feeder.

I hung it on my back porch and I filled it with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table... everywhere. Then some of the birds turned mean: They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket.  And other birds were boisterous and loud: they sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.  After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore.  I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone.  I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.  Soon, the back yard was like it used to be... quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to
a free meal.

Now lets see... our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families: you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor: you child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English: Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to press "one" to hear my bank talk to me in English and people waving flags oth er than "Old Glory" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free
liberties.  Maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV. Her point:
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house illegally and committed a felony).
According to the protesters:
1. You are Required to let me stay in your house
2. You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
3. You are Required to Educate my kids
4. You are Required to Provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part and the committing a felony).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my liberal, bleeding heart friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house. And what a deal it is for me!!!
I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior. Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can communicate with me.
Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?!

During the 5 o'clock news cast, Laura reported a story of Frederick Va in need of volunteer firefighter and EMT's. Having been a volunteer firefighter and EMT for quite a long time, I was elated to hear her final comments of this story included a single phrase that is not heard often enough, "Thank goodness for volunteers". That one small statement I am sure reached a lot of people who daily devote their time and energy to volunteering, and never hear those words enough. I even watched the 10 o'clock news for the same story, and although the scripting was the same, the final phrase was not included, making me believe that her words were spur of the moment and a display of her true feelings.
This blog is posted just to say thanks for appreciating what the volunteers do for their communities.
