Fellow Bloggers,

I understand that I am fairly new to this site so many of you may find this an imposition on my part.  Still, I would hope you would read this with an open mind and examine yourself before you respond(if you care to do so).  I joined because I like people.  I love to hear what others think on different topics, and, I believe in healthy debates.  Before I go any further, I'd like to thank you.  You have brought up issues that I haven't thought of, news that I haven't heard of, and I have learned a lot from many of you.  Thank you for that.  Here comes the however...However, I find that many of you(and I have been guilty of this myself), cannot discuss an issue without fighting.  Debating is one thing, attacking the blogger because you disagree with his/her comment(s) is another.  One "wrong" statement and suddenly we are off the original subject and we are criticizing the person's writing skills, political views become political party attacks, any mention of race escalates into racism and racists remarks.  It's very disturbing.  I believe that most of us are adults.  One might be thinking the old addage(sp) "If you can't stand the heat.."  that is not my problem.  I have a thick skin.  But why should I have to?  We all have opinions.  Can we agree to disagree and cease with the cruelty?  And for those who are still awake after reading this, thanking for obliging me.  One love.  Peace.

I think this site is a fine microcosm of society. Mean, hateful, and dysfunctional. We have all attacked each other so much that I don't think repair is possible. I think we all thought this board was going to be different when we first joined it. This is certainly not a think tank type board. It's more of a roving gang of grammar vandals.

Dear Millangie!! I totally agree with you. I have found myself fighting and I have tried to stop and I even told them that I would correct myself and be more loving and understanding. But the truth must stand and I am against homosexuality, which I feel is a great abomination and I am against the illegals who are bringing great hardships to America and I am against this evil Iraq war which is needlessly killing thousands of our young men!! and I AM STRONGLY AGAINST THE NEW WORLD ORDER WHO ARE BRINGING AMERICA DOWN TO CREATE THEIR ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. And I can go on and on. And I am against sin and the devil who causes people to hate and kill and murder and become very wicked and evil monsters. BUT THIS YOU AND EVERYBODY ELSE SHOULD KNOW; I love each and every one of you very much and this is one preacher who would rather tell you the truth than to compromise and lie to you so that I can be accepted by you all!!!

While I agree with you to a certain extant, I must say that you should not ask for a utopia because you don’t live in one. This blog community is a true reflection of our society, where some adults act like kids sometimes. Also, you have to remember that it’s not easy to set a perfect tone all the time when writing (and some times in a hurry), which creates misunderstanding. I don’t think people mean harm when say something negative to others. Rather, it comes out that way unwillingly. You really have to be strong to be able to write here. Yes, it’s not necessary to try to insult someone for his/her writing skills since it’s not a writing competition, but sometimes it’s funny to watch some people criticizing others when they don’t know the difference between “it’s” and “its!”

No, you don’t have to take anything . . . it’s your choice!

we all walk in different paths of life...some may cross one another path down...once,twice..or more...you heard the out saying agree to disagree...take it or leave it...don't take it personal...eveyone has an a$$..you just have to take it as that when you are in a forum like this one...

I thought your comments were on point and yes, I too have been guilty of the items listed in your statement but in my defense only after I have been attacked and could not stand it any longer. Do I regret some of the things that I have said, no, because they were from the heart and how I felt, but that does not make it right, however, I too wish we all could be adults and have normal, healthy, and well versed conversation without so much hatred. Will this ever happen, probably not as you have some people on this site that have it in for people of color and believe that these people cannot offer any opinions or other content without enduring some form of name calling but when it is done to them, then these people of color are called racist, go figure. I for one, am glad that you posted this blog, because the usual suspects will not provide any constructive criticism but will resort to the things you describe, good luck in the response you may receive because I am sure if you decide to revisit some of the web content on this site, you may be shocked beyond your wildest dreams.

You like to provoke the bloggers. race is and will always be defended as long as people like you and Moses throw it out there. Stop spinning the color wheel on every blog.

I can be whatever you decide to call me and if you read my comments correctly, I am in no way trying to humble myself. The names that you and the other usual suspects give me rates nothing in my book because all that matters is what My Lord and Savior and my Heavenly Father thinks, for you cannot give me anything but Jesus paid it all just for me. If I am a racist it is because of people like you who provoke me to say what is really in my heart as I have tried on numerous occasions to bite my tongue but you all seem to make racial statements about everything that is posted. I do not see any of you condemning the white people who say and do what they want to others, as you are one of the people who think we should be in Iraq, as long as it is not in your backyard, it does not matter. For years people of color had to sit back and let you all say and do what you wanted, now that there are people of color who are tired of dealing with the likes of you all, it seems to be a problem. Well as I was taught and as God said, do unto others as they do unto you, so get over it, you made me a racist when your ancestors enslaved mine, so now I am here to see that justice is done, if you want me to stop, then you all stop otherwise, as you stated, race is and always will be defended.

As you can see, all it takes is for me to respond and the usual suspects seem to follow me everywhere I decide to go just to make a personal attack. I personally do not think that HeartNSoul understood your blog at all and it did not take long, for this person to attack me but it does not matter as I am on the battlefield with Jesus and can overcome all that is thrown my way, for My Lord and Savior paved the way for me to walk this rocky road. I was really hoping and praying that people would understand where you were going with this blog, but as I said previously, “will this ever happen, probably not as you have some people on this site that have it in for people of color and believe that these people cannot offer any opinions or other content without enduring some form of name calling but when it is done to them, then these people of color are called racist”, and God let you see that I was right, and He did not take long to prove my case.

How did my name get involved in this!!?? I love people of every race even if they are racist devils!! However; if it concerns my country being taken over by illegals; and if it concerns society being taken over by black thugs; and if it concerns white people who torment blacks because they have position and power; then I have to fight for the innocent and warn the racist devils to back off!!! For God is watching you!!!

However, I will spin the color wheel less for now on. Then too, I found out after a week of being in this room that many people in this room were very racially motivated and I got caught up in the fight!! Sorry!! This is my 3rd week now and I am trying to be a more loving and conservative and nicer Moses!! And because I got caught up in this racial storm; I will have to be more cognizant of what I am saying concerning race!!

For God has created every race and culture because He is a great and Almighty God of variety when it comes to race and cultures!!!

One said, you cannot ask for utopia because you don't live in one. Not my intent. One said, so what? welcome to the real world. I don't have blinders on. I simply asked for us to cease with the cruelty. It is obvious that some of us aren't ready to make nice. Hey, I tried. Thank you for the comments.

Millange, this is probably one of the roughest blogging sites I've encountered. There is no moderation, and lots of guys like me, who will belittle and insult other bloggers at every opportunity. This is a tough crowd.

I agree with you a little,it would be nice if we could leave our color at the door and stay on topic.Many times race is the topic and it is
relevant to certian subjects that come up.You cannot expect people to sit idly by and listen to outright lies or bizarre rhetoric and not address it for what it is.To curtail a forum and not hear the truth or personel opionion would only delegitimize the honesty of what people think.

I have to agree with MPD ... I blog regularly on BOR and the atmosphere is not vicious like here ... if you dont make a preemptive strike here , you will go down in flames .... and the other thing is I have no patience with stupid people either ... The elevator doesnt go all the way to the top with some people on this Board ...

You know what I get sick and tired of? "Well, I chew people out but in my defense, only because people do it to me first" Are we in 3rd grade? You want to chew people out? Fine. But grow up and quit blaming other people for your actions.
