Any word yet on her and the twins?..Hasn't she been gone long enough to have delivered them yet?..Hope she's doing well either way.

Just read on the message board that Bob Sellers is no longer with the station. Say it isn't so!!!..This has got to be a rumor..I so enjoyed watching him with Allison in the morning.

I find it amazing the amount of money that the presidential candidates are able to raise. If I heard correctly on the news, she raised about $10 million overnight after winning the Pennsylvania primary. Now, people are willing to contribute millions of dollars to enable these candidates to do such things as broadcast negative ads on t.v. And they all want to talk about saving the environment, but are traveling all over the country via gas guzzling planes. And has anyone seen them traveling in hybrid cars?..The millions of dollars that's being raised for this campaign could be used more wisely. I personally feel the time used to campaign is entirely too long anyway.

Although this isn't really news, since I saw it on a newscast, I thought I'd place the following in the news as well as entertainment categories. I find it quite amusing.

Has anyone seen the video that some actress/playwright, Trisha Walsh Smith, has posted on You Tube where she's going on and on about her husband wanting to divorce her?. She was also interviewed on Good Morning America and asked if this was just for attention and asked if this was the only way to handle the situation vs. hiring a lawyer. She said that lawyers cost money and that she was being evicted without any money. She also said that  her husband has no basis for the divorce, has stopped paying her credit cards and needed to do this to get attention for her plight. And of course she did the obligatory weeping.

Now, I'm not familiar with her husband, but think he's also a playwright and is somewhat wealthy. And whether he is or not, what exactly does this woman expect from this video?. Her husband's not going to take her back and I doubt very seriously those who see the video are going to pay her credit cards or put her up in a penthouse somewhere. However, she WILL get her 15 minutes of fame as I'm sure the national talk shows and gossip shows will have her on to tell "her" side of the story. So, she'll make a few dollars to keep her afloat. It just amazes me the extremes to which some people will go for attention.

I've been quite disappointed with this year's top 24. I especially found last night's show  with the women quite painful to watch. Of all the performers, I found Carly to be the best. The rest just didn't have it. Can you attribute it to the song choice?..Maybe. But they were nowhere near as good as in their auditions. And what's up with Simon's comments about some of the performers not having a good voice, can't really sing, etc.?. Uh Simon,  didn't you vote some of these people to go to Hollywood??

My best friend just called me and said she just lost her job. Her company had a merger with another one a couple of months ago and she knew jobs would be cut. But she thought her job was somewhat safe due to the nature of her work and the demand for the services she manages. Obviously not.. But I told her that she just had to believe that this happened for a reason and that another door is going to open to hopefully bigger and better things for her. Got to have faith!!!..

I just saw a piece on t.v. reporting that Kanye West's mother has passed away. The family has asked that their privacy be respected. It would be great if for once the media did this..Sincere sympathy to Kanye's family.

While covering the morning traffic commute on, what I think was the Beltway,  SkyFox caught on camera a commuter driving down the shoulder for quite a distance to bypass traffic. At one point, the person came up on a section of the road where people merge onto the beltway and this person just kept going barely missing a car that was merging. SkyFox kept the camera on this car for quite awhile and in a follow-up traffic report, Allison Oakley said that they had reported this person's tag number to the state police. I'd be curious as to whether the state police followed up on this. Considering the number of reckless drivers out there, I think that whenever SkyFox comes across this, it should be broadcast just as it was this morning and have these people reported to the appropriate authorites

I'm wondering if any of you either heard on the news or read the article where the manufacturers of Aquafina and Dasani water identified the source of their water. Their water is sourced from public reseroirs, i.e. TAP WATER. I admit that I'm one of those who buys and drinks bottled water on a regular basis and as a matter of fact buy Dasani the majority of the time. To me, what I liked about it was it's freash, clean, crisp taste. And now I'm finding out that all the time I've been drinking tap water.  Brands such as Evian, which is spring water, are shipped from locations with notably "clean water" (as per an article I read). 

So, what is the take home message here?..Have those of us who have been buying and drinking  Aquafina & Dasani been duped??. Do we switch to "spring water"? Or do we just drink tap water?..I know that growing up, we always drank tap water. My mother would fill up a jug and place it in the refrigerator. And from what I remember, it was quite tasty and would really quench my thirst on a really hot day.So, if these companies are only purifying tap water, then maybe I should just invest in a water purifier and purify my own tap water. What say you???

We all have heard that the earlier you book an airline flight, the cheaper your ticket. But why?..What should it matter whether I call today for a trip next month or call the day before I leave?..It's not as though the process is different. You go online or call a travel agent and request a flight. They either have a seat or they don't. It's not as though if you call at the last minute, you're inconveniencing the airline. It's not as though they have to bring in an extra airplane from China,  call in extra flight attendants or pilots to accomodate your request. It just amazes me that you're penalized for requesting seats that are available anyway..Can anyone enlighten me on this?.
