Wooo-weee that's mad!  Mad like only a mom & wife can get, I mean, blistering, berating mad.   What pushed Mrs. Tisdadt over the edge?  Teens, repeatedly calling her home from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.  You see, her husband, Dean Tisdadt, is the Chief Operating Officer for FCPS, and the guy who makes the all-important snow closing call.   The students say since Tisdadt is a public official, he's fair game to be called at home.

They claim only polite questions were asked about the closing decision criteria.   FCPS  offcials say the calls were completely inappropriate and have also forwarded some "threatening" e-mail to the police.   Of course, you can't leave an angry message anywhere these days without it showing up on YouTube.. and that's exactly what happened.    So... take a listen to Mrs. Tisdadt's response to this student -- and let us know what you think.    And please, leave the ugly, foul language out of it.

I think the parents of each of those students who called that man at home should have to apologize in writing to him and his family. How dare they invade the sanctity of their home only to question how he does his job. I agree with every word Mrs. Tisdadt said. Today's juveniles should concentrate more on getting the best education they can, instead of becoming the obnoxious, whining adults they are sure to become.

I have serious doubts that only polite questions were asked by these kids. Something fired this woman up and from her rants it sounds like that these kids at the very least made accusations. Hopefully the lady didn't delete the message she received from these kids; maybe we'll get to hear both sides of the story.

I think she was right in what she did. She is in her home and they come and attack her family. I would do the same thing. I would be ashamed to be those kids’ parents. In addition, to think that they are seniors makes it worse. You would think they be a little mature by now. They are defiantly going to learn about life the hard way. “What goes around comes around.” I believe in karma, one day this will happen to them and then they will see how bad what they did really was.

Sam_in_DC, I agree.
This woman was not this pizzed at "polite inquiries".
I think that much more than just an apology should be doled out to these snot nosed kids, with waayyy too much free time.

That was awesome!!!!!!! Poor woman receiving irate calls from STUDENTS not even thier parents is ridiculous! Go GO GO. I would have done the same thing in her shoes. I hope those kids get punished at school, if not definately at home (yeah right).

I would have called them too. Where are their parents? How about she call them parents and ask them why their kids are calling her house? Kudos to her!!

I cannot believe that these people are actually using the police to intimidate the kids and families that made calls. What teacher or public official gives out their phone number? Maybe what the kids did was wrong. But kids learn by example and the example she set was ghetto. As my momma said; two wrongs do not make a right!

…you must be sippin' some of that special brand of Kool Aid "FlaTeach" ...the cops aren't being used to intimidate, they're investigating malicious, abusive, phone callers ...that rises to a crime in most jurisdictions and as well has the flavor of qualifying for civil action…

…I’m not far from imagining parents may well have encouraged this terrorizing kind of behavior …curious as h=ell this has the look of a “planned” caper …if left up to me and I were to establish that's the case “they’re mine” as the saying goes …your attitude “FlaTeach” seems to put the gentleman’s wife’s reaction on the same level as the callers, huh? …someone was out to torment this household and it shouldn’t be ignored…

…the offense you suggest she’s guilty of doesn’t weigh as heavily with me as the campaign of abusive phone usage these households carried out against her’s… then again I may be over reacting by your standards…

The man chooses the wife and both should be very embarrassed by Candy pitching a hissy fit to this student.

Candy chose the action of returning a call related to his job, ranting emotionally and being immature. Therefore, she chose the consequence of being a "you tube" star. I hope she makes future choices more wisely.

Mrs. Tisdadt thought what was done in private would remain private and no one except the student would know how she really felt about her husband's public service. It is obvious she doesn't support our schools or her husband's position and is jealous of the time he spends doing his job.

It is pretty sad to live so close to an emotional edge that a message from a student requesting a snow day would push her over.

All parents should remember that the Tisdadt family think the students of Fairfax County Public Schools are snotty nosed brats the next time they attend a school function.

Skiddsmom is absolutely 100% right! This Tisdadt woman exhibited the new "rage" PHONERAGE. I know at least a few of you have accidentallly dialed a number, then realized your mistake, hung up to dial the correct number and then get a call from the number you just dialed by mistake with someone screaming "who the hell are you and why did you call my F ing number?!"

Good Job kid! Keep up the good work! Maybe if more people thought that they would be heard they would clean up their manners!

Poor Mr. Tisdadt really knows how to pick em!
Imagine having to live with that, no wonder he would rather or be at work, or wherever.
