Reading some of the posts on this site has me ticked, because the FOX 5 moderators don't monitor the site for spammers, malicious content, or update the site at any time. Some of these "bloggers" need medical or psychiatric help. Case in point: Betting 2's blogs are completely random, obscure tidbits of info that aren't relevant to the section she blogs in. How can someone from Canada post her facts, when she should mind her own business and blog about HER OWN country's issues, not to mention the fact that this "person" openly and maliciously slandered another blogger without any proof what so ever! And what's with the movie trailers, huh? Too much time on your hands? Point 2: Bootsykowan blogs about her religious enlightenment over her lifetime, but doesn't post in the faith section. Why is this? She starts off on a tangent about a subject, then wanders straight in to her religion, when it doesn't pertain to the topic she's posting. Religious belief is just that, I don't want or need it shoved down my throat. I have no want or desire to read the Torah, Koran, or any other religious material other than the HOLY BIBLE! Then there are the completely blind, totally ignorant, and those that wish only to stir up public outcry to race. There should be an age limit for posting blogs, and if you can't spell, then you shouldn't post. The last thing is this: to the legitimate bloggers on the site, ( i.e. luvmybroom, Caffeinated Cow, Commander Bill, Grandpa 1 and a host of many excellent others! ), I, for one, am sorry your opinions are mixed up in this confusing mess, as yours are valuable to a thinking society.

A moment of silence for the recently departed, as the Cowboys were defeated at HOME, with the bookies betting heavily on the 'Boys to win! I really shouldn't rub it in, but all of the high and mighty that were spouting off about the play-offs, were are you now? How about the posers that jumped on the bandwagon, and thought you had a sure thing? Did the rumors of Jessica Simpson ruin it? Doubtful. I will divulge my team ( Chicago ), and will NOT defend them, as they are a Cinderella team at best. The old hag that owns the team refuses to spent ANY money for quality players, but will take the old, run down, desperate players that still want to play, and get them CHEAP! All the money that Dallas spent trying to get quality players will have to admit that they got Tank Johnson from Chicago, when Chicago had no more excuses to keep him on the roster! Terrell Owens cried like a baby when the cameras were turned on him. It is good talk when he was winning, but he needs to " Man Up " and admit he was bested by the better team, or will he continue to make excuses because Tony wasn't throwing to him enough, which wasn't the case. Wasn't that the same argument he used in Philly? Dallas is a solid team, as good as any top ranked team, but TO's crying and the belief that Jess brought the team down just prove to me that the team still has some problems to correct.

I heard on the radio this morning that Michael Vick stands to lose about $150 million dollars from his involvement with dog fighting. The Falcons, endorsements and his "admission" of guilt will also take a mil or so from his own money. Looks like golden boy just got served, and his "dogs" were the ones that did him in. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

When will the time come for the county board to step up and actually do what they say, instead of being hypocritical asses that they appear to be! It seems that they (the Board), can't decide what service(s) they want to cut off from the illegal immigrants in the county. I say, why not all, except for life saving emergencies, because as we all know, illegals won't have insurance for the hospital, so the tax paying citizens will have to suffer to cover it. Housing is a prime concern for us citizens, as we have to watch our property values go down because in the older neighborhoods like mine, this is the only place illegals can afford. How do I know this? A four bedroom house across the street from me has at least 4 hispanic families living in it, and they all park their work vehicles in the front, taking away parking from the surrounding neighbors. They impose their presence on us with their loud music, parties, and over all lack of respect for their neighbors, causing the rest of us to suffer. I'll bet noone form the county housing office even knows about this! The county police barely even drive through the area unless someone calls in a complaint. So now's the time to man or woman up(county board) and get this process started! It is long overdue.

Sanjaya is GONE! It's about time America voted off that shemale! Since I don't watch AI, ( unless under duress, for fear of torture!) I don't understand how this feminine sounding and looking guy got this far, especially after the story about his hair styles on stage. I made the comment to my family that, if he shaved his scruff off, he'd still look like an ugly girl. LOL

Last night, while driving through the District, I happened upon a guy, flagging cars to park in UN-marked space on 19th street. The parking wasn't for business purposes, and this guy wasn't a valet for any service either. Don't be fooled by people such as this. What they do is "help" you park your car, but for a "fee". If you don't pay them, they'll get someone to mark up your car. I've seen this happen before, but it's been some time since the last occurence (sp). People, park only in marked spaces, pay the meter if you have to, and never hand over your keys to anyone not associated with the establishment in which you intend to use, unless you hate your car and never want to see it again. Also, beware of the window washer that comes out of nowhere to clean your windows at the stoplight. They cause more harm than good.

I recently attended a Nationals Baseball game here in D.C.. Since it was my son and I's only professional sporting event to date, I have to say, that the local fans should be VERY upset to call the Nats their team. We arrived early and watched the team practice. This was the ONLY time the team even showed any energy at all. Ryan Zimmerman caught one line-drive out in the 1st inning, then after that, he should have rode the bench, for all the good he was doing. Pitching was NON-existant, no base running at all (since hardly anybody got on base!), and the first baseman looked like he could start for the Redskins, as a defensive lineman. Manny Acta has his work cut out for him, espscially if he thinks this group of little leaguers are going to be any kind of contender at all. Send all of these "players" back to the sandlot, and practice their basics, because if they don't I can't see many of them returning next season. Bring back Frank Robinson!

In my recent blog, titled " 7 Year Old Arrested ", I've read the responses, and some were way too critical. My point of fact was, that a 7 year old boy was basically accosted by the Baltimore police for riding his dirt bike on public streets. I understand these facts. The mother was responsible for the boy's actions, and it was against the law for him to do so. Why wasn't the mother ticketed? Why wasn't the boy given a warning? This child wasn't causing any disturbance or injuring pedestrians. He was simply SITTING on the dirt bike, waiting for the father, when he was approached by the police. Then the situation got blown way out of proportion. The police didn't use restraint in this instance. They treated a child the same as an adult in this case, and it shouldn't have had to come that. Educate the family of the wrong-doing in stead of the strong-arm tactics used here. If you want the youth of today to respect the law, then the LAW should respect the youth.

In the news this morning, in Baltimore, a 7 year old boy was arrested for "supposedly " riding a dirt bike on the sidewalk in city limits. Can you believe this? He was cuffed and dragged from the bike. To make matters worse, the boy was verbally abused by the police at the 'arrest" site and taken to the police station, in front of the boy's mother. Police BRUTALITY! ABUSE OF AUTHORITY! Shall I go as far to say, that even though the child wasn't charged, it will be a part of his juvenile record until he is 21? Baltimore's Mayor should have the Police Chief's head on a platter for even allowing any of this to happen, and the officers involved should be placed on leave WITHOUT pay until they can attend sensitivity training. The child will be traumatized forever any time he sees a policeperson, and the parents should sue the city without delay. What's next? Toddlers arrested for not being strapped in their strollers?

DPW (Dept.of Public Works) in DC needs to do a better job of meter upkeep. Just today, while in Georgetown, the meter I tried to use took my money. Twenty-five cents is way better than a 25 dollar ticket for meter violation though. My biggest beef with the parking situation in DC is that, while parking is at a premium, now in G-town near the river, spaces have been plowed over to make a PARK ( and not for cars, which took away spaces for hundreds of users). What do they use the revenue from the meters for? Surely not for road maintenance, as most major roadways in DC are in a dire condition. Then to top it all off, meter readers ticket vehicles for violations, of which I'm sure, they don't have complete knowledge of. I do get a kick out of watching the people that empty the meters, as it tickles me to no end when they don't get much change since most of the meters are broken or jammed. Poetic justice!

Music
The declination of ( rock ) music as we know it , is evident when we , as a nation, vote for talent from TV shows like American Idol, Nashville Stars, and the like. Generations of music past were not determined purely by looks, but TALENT, the real kind, not just some thrown together junk we have today. Bands or singers spent long, hard hours practicing on their performance, not just showing up at an audition ( loose term ) on TV, in front of judges, and in most cases, screeching out a song that the person has no vocal range for. Sure, we had rock bands that had lead singers screetch, but more could actually carry a note. Nowadays, a mixing board makes complete songs, without a singer, But rock, and I mean TRUE rock, had guitars, bass, and drums. In ten years from now, your voted AI "flavors of the month" will all but disappear, and probably never get voted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where the real music lives.

Just how many points DO bus drivers get for hitting a pedestrian? Just what the Hell is going on here? Are these drivers LICENSED? If the Washington Metro area transportation system is the way to go, I'd rather sit in rush hour traffic in my car. ( Can't walk, the crosswalks are bulls-eyes! ) If the public's safety isn't a priority, ground the fleet. At least then, the pedestrian might have a fighting chance to make it across the intersection. Toughen safety regulations for these drivers and enforce a yearly refresher safety class, if necessary. There is NO reason why these accidents are happening, just carelessness on the driver's part.

Does anyone agree with me that Lisa baden on WTOP is "loopy"? I can't recall a time when one of her reports sounded completely professional. Don't get me wrong, the report is still GOOD, but she tends to wander away with some old 40's and 50's style song lyrics and general goofiness. I also listen to Julie Wright from FOX 5 sometimes. Can Lisa just report the traffic, or is she auditioning for Comedy Central?

Long story short.
DC police will fine you $100 dollars for using a non-hands free cell phone while driving in their jurisdiction. Yet, if you drive past a patrol car, the DRIVER (officer) is gabbing away on their's, yet it is illegal for us. This includes parking enforcement or other DC agencies authorized to issue traffic citations. I know these cars have dispatch radios, so, what gives?
