Because he is a lame duck now and knows nothing will pass in congress and the senate...who knows.. maybe he also now owns enough undersea drilling crap that he can become and "offshore" platform company as well as a land based drilling company. It is easy to put your mouth where it is not possible for it to be in danger.

BigSmoov, This has been going on for over 20 years. We'd be waisting more time if we just bashed Pres. Bush. Dem and Rep, it is now time to show your true concern for Americans. We need a Energy Policy NOW.

Ave, don't you KNOW the job of the congress is to make the laws? So why Blame bush? All he can do is sign or NOT sign. He can suggest but thats all.

We stopped drilling for oil in the US back in the early 1980's wnen greenpeace, and the Sierra Club and all the hollywood faces they could muster had that big dog n pony show. They said they didn't want Oil rigs or refineries anywhere, and no drilling in the parks. Then, just like NOW, teh liberals and tree huggers don't have ANY SOLUTIONS, just "no you can't drill in my back yard" Where is their investment in our future? Saying "NO" isn't it. Now these same liberals are piling up behind global warming. They have even LESS FACTS on that than they did on any subject back in the early 80's.

These Tree hugger liberals were wrong back then and they still are today. Why would anyone listen to them? How stupid is it to hear claims of disaster, but no proof, and your computer models don't work either? Perhaps Global Warming IS BS like the credible scientists have been saying for several years.

So Smooov, you are telling us that we had NO OIL PROBLEMS until 2000? The liberals and tree huggers stopped new building and drilling in the early 1980's. That is a verifiable fact. That was BEFORE BUSH.

The oil and refineries we SHOULD HAVE BUILT would be our saving grace. same for the Nuke plants we could never build.

The Democrats and tree huggers have NOT BEEN DOING THIS FOR OUR BEST INTERESTS. They continue to be a disservice to decent americans.

Carter did NOTHING but make things worse by his stupid attitudes. Clinton didn't do ANYTHING!! AT ALL!

Now, with the 'democratic leadership' they have done even LESS! LOL How can the democrats show they are worthy to lead, when even as a majoriy, Bush & company STILL hand them their collective heinies! They were unable to affect anything in Iraq, or do anything they promised. Do the Democrats have any ideas? Where are they?

All they have done is talk, and lie to the american people.

Back when Bush was in his first term what was the price of Gas Smoov? Not 134$ a barrell!!!!! Like I said in an earlier blog, that Dum B+tch Skankosi said she will bring down the price of gas if the Dums were returned to power ... Geee .. how was she going to achieve that ... by having her husband bend over for OPEC or was she going to perform on her back? Pray tell Smoov ...

I would like to see what the excuse would be if that Dumbo Fagoma becomes Prez. now that he is not going to be taking public funds for his campaign ... I wonder what and who will be providng the private funds for his Prez campaign .... I smelll some real rotten chicken and some really rotten watermelon ...

Also, people seem to forget that oil did not pass $100 a barrel until the Democrats took control of Congress.
