The next round of debates will be tomorrow night and it seems to me that only one candidate is willing to discuss the issues facing us today, but I am interested to see what the average voter would like to hear the Presidential candidates discuss.   Personally, I will be listening for the following:

1.       Job Loss in the US – currently taxpayers have lost approximately 750,000 jobs in the last nine months

2.       The Bailouts or Rescue plans – currently taxpayers have given up about 1 trillion dollars to large corporations

3.       The Iraq/Afghanistan Wars – currently taxpayers are sharing the burden of 10 billion dollars a month to fund both wars and we are borrowing the money from China for this bill

4.       Healthcare – currently, most citizens cannot afford the rising costs of healthcare and it could be made affordable had our leaders used taxpayer money wisely

5.       Energy  - this is becoming a big problem as many taxpayers are facing rising costs this winter

Now, I can list many more, but right now this is the main focus for me, and I wonder what other voters think, give me your list and let us pay attention to see if either candidate address our concerns.

LilBits:

Add to list: Stock market. I've been watching the news and they're saying the 7 billion seems as though it's money thrown away... The European markets are following suit on the American market... Going down...down...down

While Obama will be discusing "Job Loss,"
McLAME will be discussing "Tax Cuts For The Rich."

While Obama will be discussing "The Bailout And Rescue Plans,"
McSAME will talking about him being a "maverick."

While Obama will be discussing "The Iraq/Afghanistan War,"
McSTRANGE will be discussing his P.O.W. record.

While Obama will be discussing "Health Care,"
McINSANE will be discussing how Obama "Doesn't get it."

While Obama will be discussing "Energy," Mc$5MillionDollarSalaryRange will be discussing how he will "Shake Up Washington."

The republiCANT smear campaigns are getting a little desperate and embarrassing now. Seriously!

What I hope I DON'T hear is more of the smut that is being espoused at the present time. And when it is done with a whine and a smirk, it makes it worse.

I would like to see these questions:

1. Border security: what will you do about it?
2. Illigal immigration: how will you get rid of them?
3. How will you take care of all the vets:
4. What are you going to do about all the jobless.
5. How will you take care of the comming war with Iran.
6. In case they hit us again this time with a bio weapon of EMP what will you do about it.

Well the audience will be non-decided voters asking the questions.
I think it will be interesting to see what questions come up and if they are actually undecided to begin with.

I am going to get a clicker and count the UH's Obama states.

I want everyone here to write down each question and then listen to the responses from both candidates. I bet Obama will babble on and switch topics like he always does when he doesn't have a script to follow.

As one of those "Undecided" voters, I'll be listening to yet another debate. Man this is the first time since I started voting I had to watch all the debates to try to make a decision as to who I would vote for. Oye! I'll be listening for all the questions listed above plus some. Lets hope we get some DIRECT answers this time and not the going in circles and debating each others BS. I want to hear them answer "I WILL" not "HE DID" this time around. What they both done in the past is behind them now, its time to say what they will do in the future if elected.

Goober, I beg to differ on one thing in your statement.
What they both have/haven't done in the past is very important. What makes you think they will stand by new promises if their past proves otherwise?

I do agree about wanting to know what they will do instead of the same basic "I'll do this and that" generalizations. Both are guilty of that.

I just hope this doesn't turn into some kinda liberal BS with planted audience members on the attack. But for some reason I think it will.

Red-Dog1...this is McLAME's kind of setting. Do you think McSAME will not have ANY planted audience memebers?

You know, it would be nice to come here for once and see that we all could have a conversation, without resorting to calling each others candidates childish names. No freakin wonder this country is in the shape its in. Ugh

Anyway....

Red, you are correct, we should know what the other has done. But I do think McCain has more in that "has done" category then Obama, and also he has, and I hate to use these words, "flip flopped" quite often. Which is understandable, all politicians do it, including Obama. Their both guilty. That is why I would prefer to see them keep focused on what they both propose to do, not what they already done. Most of us by now already know that story, all to well with both of them.
I'm also hoping that audience is a good mix and that ask the tough questions as well.

I'm a Democrat and I'm not ready to vote for a Democrat simply because I am one or because my candidate that didn't make it says I should. That's not how I roll. :-) So, both of these men need to do some good talking if they don't want to see my vote go to the forgotten party.

Isn't it painful to see McCain read off of cue cards for things he should ALREADY KNOW!?!?!?!

"THE AMERCIAN PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING IN TODAY'S ECONOMY...."

Wow...you need to read off a card to say that!?!?!

I understand that BOTH SIDES are accused of flip-flopping. We as americans do the same thing. But if I was to go against the person that FLIPPED THE MOST it would be McCAIN! Just as early as THIS SPRING, McLAME clearly stated that

"...if a candidate has to resort to dirty politics, they are covering up the lack of a clear cut agenda..."

My My My....how things change when your campaign numbers are falling faster than Bristol Palin's thongs.

It's useless to hope one of them will address illegal aliens, because they more or less have voted the same way on that. Therefore, they won't address something that won't further divide the American public into their camps.

As for the "I will do" rhetoric....they should really be saying "I will ask the Congress" because most regulatory and all legislative issues--energy, healthcare, finances, etc.---are all decided by Congress, not the President or executive branch of our government.

An absolutely good way to tell if people are really suffering is to drive tru any hood area.

I did and what I saw was amazing!!people bringing into their homes 10 bags of groceries , as new SUV park in front of their residence . They dressed in Jewelry and nice clothes.

If these folks ain't hurting in those hoods ,that tell me people ,like bits, are crying crocodile tears just to get Obama elected.

I travel a lot and people don't look like they are going to a food line one at all! Many are headed for the mall, the car wash , the movies ,the club and to get their hair done!

it's just a liberal Obama scare tactic to insure a win!
