After days of turmoil and child like tantrums regarding this massive taxpayer bail out, John McCain’s camp announced moments ago that he will debate Mr. Obama tonight as if this big surprise.  It was highly irregular for a presidential candidate to suspend his campaign and use the debate as a hostage to get a bill passed in Congress, but when we are speaking of a man who has called himself a “maverick” or an unconventional person, these actions have proved true to form.

According to the AP, this story says it all and if any person that was undecided should have all facts to decide, this man is not ready to lead.

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer 3 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Republican John McCain agreed to attend the first presidential debate Friday night even though Congress doesn't have a bailout deal, reversing an earlier decision to delay the forum until Washington had addressed the financial crisis.

Speaker of the House:

It is evident that this was nothing short of a political ploy to get his poll numbers increased as I find it hard to understand his base, if he acts this way now, what would it be like if HE COULD WIN the election, boy we (America) would be in trouble as this man has proven to me that he is slightly unstable and make decision off the cuff, not my idea of a leader.

I said it once, I said it a thousand times, "THIS WAS JUST A GIMMICK LIKE SARAH PALIN WAS/IS!"

They clearly said he wasn't needed there. This little show of his was just to help his sagging campaign! I NEVER DOUGHTED FOR ONE SECOND that he wasn't going to show.

He knew at some point he would have to answer the question;

"SINCE YOU DIDN'T SHOW UP TO THE DEBATES IN MISSISSIPPI, WHAT DID YOU ACHEIVE IN WASHINGTON DC?"

He couldn't come out of his mouth saying "...WE ARE STILL IN NEGOTIATIONS..." Plus he knew that he couldn't let Obama step on that stage and rip him up....the way he tried to rip Obama on Wednesday. Didn't work! GET YOUR OLD TAIL DOWN HERE AND GET THIS WHIPPING!!!!

I'm so proud of Obama for saying, "I'M GOING TO BE THERE REGARDLESS..." He stood his ground!!!!

The only thing YAWN McLAME can change in a couple of years is his diapers!!!!! LoL

Pathetic! Purely Pathetic. You CLONES really crack me up! This is A classic example of unbalanced ways of thinking.

In one part of your liberals argument, you admit that this is huge and awful situation for America, but in your second part of your argument, you say there is no need to deal with the situation DIRECTLY ? Instead, debate over promises and BS political grand standing-if I become president I will .... come on ,completely BS!

Why not Show us now that you can get something done now OR AT LEAST TRY! ""Call me when you need me!!""??? COME ON PEOPLE!! Are you people that stuck on stupid that you can't see how lame of a statement that was??

How stupid Americans like you have become! You are the product of the Jerry springer TMZ doctrine. American has become so dumb these days that we are now rank 24th in Math and science ,because many of you follow jerry springer and Paris Hitlon over whats a more intelligent way of seeing the world!

You know absolutely nothing about the issues that has caused this Fanny Mae debacle. Nothing.

Ask yourself ,if the dems can pass this thing without the republicans then why wont they do it?

Snoov ,if john's not needed why are they holding this thing up. They got the votes, vote and be done with it . But they wont tell you that they cant figure out what to do and they do need john, but it would be suicidal to obama if the media and you find out they wont be able to do this thing without John McCain.

If they did not need the man ,this could have been pass in congress 7 days ago!! Trust me , THEY do NE

Ms. Lilbits

Political posturing was McCain’s goal pure was grandstanding and being a shameless opportunist at the expense of the American people. My husband and I are not even just a little impressed by his false statements of suspending his campaign. I have a friend in Ohio that told me that McCain’s campaign office did not close nor did they stop soliciting for donations and she is a Republican. He lied therefore presenting a false impression to the American people in his motto of “country first.” I was please that Obama did not agree to delay the debate he stood his ground and made a choice not to play the economy crisis into politics as McCain did.

At the beginning I was having difficulty in making a choice between the two men but more and more McCain is disappointing me in his speech and actions. Especially after picking Sarah Palin as his VP, her comments to Katie Couric was dumb, I couldn’t believe she was a brunette, she must be a true blond. I just realized my husband and I have foreign policy experience too because we lived in Alaska for two years and Germany for four years…..lol

I really don’t support Obama or McCain, I’m still undecided. I think no one is clones because they may support Obama. Indeed both candidates are far from perfect. While I don’t agree with the bailout for Wall Street, I also don’t agree with the political posturing of McCain or the lies he told about suspending his campaign when he did not. Or saying he will not debate until a decision is reached about the bailout yet practice for the debate last night for three hours. Sorry that tells me this was nothing but political posturing and nothing to do with putting “country first.”

Also both men are only talking about what they will do because one has not been elected therefore that’s all Obama and McCain can do is talk. Each citizen has to decide who they think is telling the truth but I also think all the bad names that are said about Obama supporters can clearly be said about McCain supporters. I think people can disagree on the bailout or help out, while disagreeing with McCain’s grandstanding. So I hope a reasonable bailout or help out can be agreed upon but I really don’t think there should be a bailout for Wall Street were the wealthy just get wealthy with fat severance and retirement plans.

Grandstanding or Standing your ground, which do you prefer? Having tunnel vision or the ability to multi-task. This is a lot like walking and chewing gum at the same time, some can and some can’t. If I was a republican I would be totally confused, is the campaign on is the campaign off, is the debate on, is the debate off? And this is what they want for the next 4 years?

BigSmooov ,
you are a square. As a military person at one time , you never looked the enemy in his eyes until you give him the finally blow. This guy withstood the hands of the enemy for 5 years and never looked them in the eye,OK? smoov that's something you and many other Clones could not do for 5 minutes .

And what's with this I gota bracelet too BS from Obama ? So laughable. Obama did not get that bracelet until McCcain gave his story. Like every republican talking point, obama steals them or try now to match them like a kid on the playground. You got this or that ,so do I .You said this , I say it too . Your aren't s do this so does my parents! HA! My parents have that too! This guy should be a comedian not trying to run for president.

Obama is trying to mimic qualified presidential nomination in order to sneak himself in to office of the president! Incredible !! The guy abandoned completely all of his liberal democratic talking point!!!

And more incredibly, The libs are saying amen to Obamas republican talking points. Who wants to send troops to Afghanistan . What? come again? I thought Obama was running to bring troops home? And you clones say amen to that? WOW!!!

Who's lying smoov, Obama- "I would sit down with Iran without preconditions", then tonight try to lie that he never said it!! HA! THEY RAN THE TAPE!! (LOL) Charlatan !!!!

Sarah's turn is next week . It's funny how you clones pointed to a "gotcha" question Sarah got, from Katie Couric , so once again let me educate you MTV obama Clones.

The fact of the mater is that the question Katie Couric ask Sarah was a question obama could not even answer. He too does not know all the specific Bills Biden has voted on. Ultimately, Most politician would failed at answering this type of question.

Obama does not know specifically what laws Bills Clinton actually implemented in Arkansas or in his first administration. These guys pass 100's of bills. There is no way any politicians could keep track of all of them and how the other politician voted on certain issues !Maybe the majored ones , but definitely not specifics!

But the media knew you Clones would fall for that , because you just don't understand. It was a gotcha question clones! Something Hillary had also complained about when she ran against obama . But Obama is protected by the media and would never get those type of questions. The media needs to protect him. Also, you liberals would claim racism anyway.

Too much granstanding and assumptions here on both sides. It's very emotional here.

After hearing Sarah Palin's talk with Katie Couric yesterday and analysis of it I have to say it is scary that she could be VP. She is not yet up to it. Her thoughts on Russia being a next door neighbor to Alaska proved nothing but sophomoric thinking.

Fact seeker,
don't be a pinhead. It is what it is! Obama can say the sky is green ,right now, and you "Clones" will say Amen to it!

The guy has the audacity to even run republican /Conservative talking points in his arguments now! He has abandon all his liberal far left wing talking points!( The ones that got him on the main stage in the first place) But what is even more incredible is the fact that you and the Obama clones don't even blink when he does it. You just repeat in unison "Amen!" "Amen"! "Amen"! "The Messiah has spoken"! But he used a talking point right out of the conservative play book on ya and you dint he even grunt!!! Fascinating!

You run around signs "Bring home the troops ,support Obama and end the war " and at the same time Obama said (as of last night) we need to increase troop presents in Afghanistan and if necessary take it to Pakistan! WHAT?? Did he just declared war on a nuclear ready nation? Did he really say ,instead of bringing troops back home ,he wants them to go to Afghanistan and if necessary disrespect a country who is our friend by crossing into their land? WOW!!!! NOW THAT'S A WAR WE NEED!!!!!!! That sounds like the Bush doctrine,to me! Something you liberals said that you HATED AND would never support! But now you say AMEN because obama preached a summons on it on a rock? LOL- Totally unreal!!!!!

Do you clones even get it??? Trun off the T.V. and killed the xbox for a moment!

I know for A FACT this is not an MTV reality show , a spider man 4 episode or even an XBOX game. Life is not a REPEAT clones! A NUCLE
