Wow, I thought I had seen it all over years when it comes to politics, but to my surprise the best is yet to come as they say, now let us welcome our VP Nominee Mrs. Sarah Palin into the mix.  First, Mrs. Palin comes into the equation by reason of default, as it seems apparent that no one else was qualified to run as GOP VP Nominee, or so the party has led us to believe.  Then, Mrs. Palin prior to accepting the nomination, states “she does not know what a VP does”, wow, and she wants me to vote for her because I am a woman, not today, not tomorrow, not ever as I would like to have access to my VP in theory.  Next, she is accusing the media of being biased but has yet to make herself readily available for interviews as others in her line of work has, as I wonder why, does she not have a script handily available to speak from talking points, or is it that the McCain camp does not have anything to tout but Country First?

According to an article by Kenneth P Vogel, (http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080923/pl_politico
/13791
) “Palin, whose meetings here were all to be private, has yet to hold a press conference with her traveling press corps, and her campaign has tightly restricted which media outlets have gotten face time with the candidate”.  Now I ask voters is this the fault of the media or the campaign for not allowing us to get to see this woman in her true persona, because as a voter who is tired of the Republicans asking me to switch parties this time around and does not give me any reason to want to go against the grain. If you disallow the media to cover events held by you, then what is it that you expect from the media, as this seems really simple to me, stop allowing script reading and answer questions.

Yes, it is a historic election to have the first woman VP on the ticket, however, it is not an election that can be won because you are a woman at least in my opinion.  Mrs. Palin, if you want anyone to consider you as genuine then open up to the media as the voters cannot learn who you are until you do, plain and simple.  It is not the media that is denying you access, but rather you denying them access to you, so I ask you, if you want me to jump on the gender bandwagon, stop using our gender to promote your own ladder climbing and open up access to the media.

It's not her to be exact, it's the McCain Campaign managers that’s keeping her from the reporters... She was at the U.N. and the Campaign told reporters they could only have a picture taking session and not a question and answer session. The republicans are trying to hide her verbally but not physically. I said a while back; “They have something up their sleeves.” and - BigSmooov hit the nail on the head… “She’s a gimmick.”

Why do you always pick OPINION pieces instead of investigative NEWS?

What’s the problem bits …where is it etched in stone or a law of physics that she has to hold some tea parties with the media …if you find great fault with Palin it would seem your most sensible decision would be to avoid voting the ticket that she’s joined …what’s with your obsession over recent weeks to whine and whine …it’s a safe bet as it strikes me that you’ll be voting for Obama so is that you think you’re gonna influence enough voters to see it your way or is it that you derive great pleasure in “trashin”

If we are talking about exposing the Candidates, as she has to the fullest extent thus far. Let's even go a bit further and find all the hidden records of Obama and all of his radical dealings with Ayers. Finally, it is being acknowledged and exposed by the media.

LilBits#2:

Why are you continuing to impersonate me on this site, as I am wondering are you that desperate that you must ASSume another's identity to get your point across? It is quite sad that a few bloggers have issues with me that you all must invent new ways to make yourselves look ignorant, and to think that you people actually get to vote, boy is this world in trouble. I am going to ignore your comments and hope that Fox makes you cease this mess and if not, I at least pray that you get a life and stop trying to take mine. My words are my words that God has given me the gift of speaking, why can’t you use your own voice, as anyone with a brain knows that I do not need to talk to myself, but you do.

Speaker of the House:
I must tend to agree and disagree, as it could be the McCain camp who thinks she is not ready, but I also thinks it is her somewhat because she knows once she really opens her mouth the world will see that she is nothing but a fraud used by the GOP to gather the masses or women should I say. This woman has done plenty of public speaking in Wasilla, right, well why can’t she do the same things she did running for Governor, as this is nothing short of a farce, in my opinion. Sarah Palin is not on the side of all women, yes, she might represent a few, but any Hillary supporter that has jumped ship should be ashamed as this woman is against everything Hillary stands for and it is evident.

Why do you always stray off the topic instead of voicing your opinion, this is investigative news, but I know that is hard for the GOP to swallow, as you people would not know how to spell the word had it not been for the media and others. If you would kindly voice your opinions to the blog, then maybe I will try to be a little nicer but until then, you get what you get, stop digging those ditches as there aren't many of you left to fall into your own trap.

Beagle:

Name me one VP candidate or just any candidate that has not been thoroughly interviewed by the media, hell, name me one who does not want to be in front of the cameras for that matter. Well, your time is up, as you cannot name one sole person who is running for any office that would not indulge the media and hold some type of unscripted press conference or interview, which makes one wonder, what is it that the GOP has to hide in this woman. Maybe it is the simple fact that this whole GOP ticket is a sham and she is only there to try and rally support for a losing campaign as that is what it was like prior to him picking her, correct. Wow, you just hit the jackpot when you stated, “it’s a safe bet as it strikes me that you’ll be voting for Obama” as I, a taxpayer, cannot afford another four years of the last eight. Furthermore, I do not want to be in Iraq for another 100+ years as your candidate suggests, nor do I want to ascertain the stability of a sinking economy, which is something that your candidate has not come to terms with. McCain is always boasting about reform, well he is part of the problem with this deregulation mess and you people will not be happy until the GOP party runs this country straight to hell, well I will not be one of the followers who wallow in that pit. In regards to the other part of your statement, “so is that you think you’re gonna influence enough voters to see it your way or is it that you derive great pleasure in “trashin”, the answer is no, I cannot influence any voter as I am not running for office, as well as I am not “t

“trashin” your nominee as you seem to think, she is doing that all by her lonesome. Why is it when others do not agree with the choices of some, then you people come out of the woodwork calling us whiners, telling us we are not credible, we do not know what we are talking about, and so on. Do you get your jollies by trying to bully others into going to the pits of hell with the GOP as it is clear that this current mess is the results of the “wild west” mentality of the GOP party, hell, there is $80B sitting in the Iraq government’s surplus account, and guess what, that is the taxpayers money, who was responsible, the GOP, right. It does not matter what I do or say, you and the others will have issues, you will constantly state that I am this and that, oh, well, whatever problem you might have are not with me but with the ONE that created me, so get over it as I am a taxpayer just like you and can offer my opinion on what I see, and right now, I see Sarah Palin as a farce, plain and simple.

Lyla:

First, welcome to the site, second, please know that this blog had nothing to do with Obama, and it is evident that you are a McCain supporter, however, can we stay on topic as I am sick to death of people taking one issue and turning it into something that it is not. Your statements are not conducive to this blog as I cannot see where she has made herself available to the fullest extent as you claim. Hell, she had two scripted interviews with two cautious reporters, how does that back up your claim, as those reporters did not in my opinion ask the tough questions. To go a step further, just look at the one of the answers she gave Charlie, however, I could go on but I do not want to bend over in laughter at this woman and the slightest possibility of being the next VP.

GIBSON: Governor, let me start by asking you a question that I asked John McCain about you, and it is really the central question. Can you look the country in the eye and say "I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president, but perhaps president of the United States of America?"

PALIN: I do, Charlie, and on January 20, when John McCain and I are sworn in, if we are so privileged to be elected to serve this country, will be ready. I'm ready.

Now, what did you gather from that, did you fully answer the question or did she give a Governor’s reply? Yeah, exactly what I thought you would say, the question was never answered and she looked out of place.

Lilbits,

I think you talk/write too much and think very little before speaking. You seem to have some blinders on in my opinion without all facts at hand in honesty. Oh.. thanks for the welcome?

Sweetie, thank you for the accolades at least I think period unlike you who believes everything that the GOP party touts. I understand that you are a hater and in my opinion with all the facts in hand, you would not know honesty if your child was not there to teach you. Now, one great turn deserves another, if you choose to be nasty, then you will get the nasty side of me as I thought your comments were out of line and uncalled for, but that is the GOP way, you are a quick study, follow others on this board into the pits of hell, that is your choice, not mine. Oh, and for the welcome, not a problem as I give as good as I get.

The below statements are condescending due to; Each one of these are always comparing Sarah Palin to Obama but, If you would take a look at some of their post, they are constantly attacking from all ends like “internet blog terrorist“ but, when you place your opinion, it‘s wrong [from their viewpoint] for you to stand up for what you believe in. Let the McCain campaign hide Palin and, if they win the election, all these supporters of McCain and Palin will be saying the same thing they said about Bush after putting him in for a second term; “Why in the hell did I vote him back into office!”

beagle_buddy; “what’s with your obsession over recent weeks to whine and whine.”

I don’t know about anyone else on this site but, I will be voting Democrat all the way and - just for a note; I wouldn’t care if Richard Nixon came back from the grave and placed himself on the Democratic ticket for President, I would vote for him… I've had enough of these Republicans...

bits it's not my nominee so much as it's my interest to make a contribution to Obama's candidacy failing...just like you bits to ignore the question and turn out a thesis full of tripe...I've already said twice as much as your blog is worth bits so I'll leave you to blather till Friday...

...LB I could give a dam less that you plan to remain a fond follower of Obama's candidacy so how about we all just agree to say a simple "I'm votin' for who ever" and be in control enough to wait for November... I'm pretty confident that that's wishful thinking on my part though... I'd wish you a good one but the honest truth is it wouldn't be genuine at all! ...

Speaker of the House:

Very well put and please know that I do not bow down to internet bullies or any other kind of bullies so they can think whatever they like. I agree with you in terms of voting for anybody but a damn republicant as they have run this country straight to hell in a hand basket. Personally, just like you I would not care if the King (Elvis) himself came back and was on the Democratic ticket, I would vote for him.

I can see that you are one of the few whites who will not vote for Obama if you life depended upon it, hell, look at what the Republicans have done to this country thus far, and you think Obama will fail, well I will be the first to say, hahahahahahaha, when it does not happen. Not even this mess created by the republicans with the housing crisis can make Obama fail, as many will not admit it, but this was all designed for when the republican loss the house. Leave the country in the biggest debt possible then blame the incoming presidency and mark as failure, well it will not work, as your own party knows that this is crazy to let someone else fall for what the current leader has done, so get over it.

That's exactly what I said in the last paragraph to my post. If you didn't read it, here it is again - hoping you will comprehend it this time;

"I don’t know about anyone else on this site but, I will be voting Democrat all the way and - just for a note; I wouldn’t care if Richard Nixon came back from the grave and placed himself on the Democratic ticket for President, I would vote for him… I've had enough of these Republicans"...

Linebacker, very good. You are learning what it's like to be a parent. Sometimes you have to break it down and repeat again...slowly...for a five year old or those who act like their five. Patience is the key. Good job.
