Lauren DeMarco joined the Fox 5 team in November 2004 as a staff writer and traffic producer. She now regularly produces Fox 5 Morning Newscasts, occasionally Fox 5 News at Noon, and most recently began hosting My5 webcasts. Here's the link to the most recent one: http://media.myfoxdc.com/
my5/my5.html Originally from New Jersey, Lauren moved to Maryland to attend Loyola College. She spent time studying abroad in Madrid, Spain and graduated in 2003, with a major in communications, and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, Lauren was hired at WBFF-TV in Baltimore, as an assignment editor and associate producer. She spent a year and a half working on the 6:30 and 10pm newscasts, covering stories including Hurricane Isabel, and the overturned water taxi in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Now at WTTG, Lauren lives in Bethesda, MD just outside the DC line. In her free time, she enjoys travel, eating out, filling in as a radio reporter for D.C. metro traffic networks, and spending time with her dog Bogie.
