This election keeps getting more interesting by the moment.  It's historic, and no matter how you slice it, extremely exciting to watch! We are now about to see either an African American or a woman make it to the White House.

I'm very curious what you, our viewers, think about John McCain's choice for his runningmate.  In the gym Friday morning I all I heard were groans.  One man said.. "what, is McCain TRYING to lose"?   A woman said "what is she THINKING... with all those kids at home.. how can she take on this job, which isn't 9 - 5, but 24-7."

What do YOU think?  Is Sarah Palin a good candidate in your eyes?   Or will McCain's pick ultimately kill his campaign?

Best Choice McCain could pick!
The people who say she can't do a job and take care of her kids need to join the 21st century!

I think Palin will show America a few things and inspire people to their ticket.
She is young, easy on the eyes and very intelligent. True her experience is somewhat short, but isn't the other guy running for President lacking in the experience department too?

It will be a close race but in the end I think McCain will have the best hand and indeed be an asset to the American people.
He's not George Bush and I believe people will see that. I think he will keep America safe and strong while fixing what is wrong.
That's all I want. I want it fixed, NOT CHANGED.

Lumybroom in the United States having one drop of so called black blood makes one of the black race according to whites in the past in the United States. There were laws put in place stating on our birth certificates, colored or Negro in the United States. Lena Horne, former Congressman Adam Clayton Powell of New York, Dr. Charles Drew, Georgetown University's first President Patrick Healy were all fair skin Negroes who looked white, but they were considered Negroes, not biracial. Most blacks in the United States with an ancestry back to slavery have a white/European ancestry too, thanks to slave owners raping black slave woman or white females mixing with the black slaves and having babies with them. Obama look like the average black man that walks down any U.S. street. You would never know, his mother was white. Genetically, his Negroid genes are more dominantly than his Caucasian genes. I have several black family members who look white with straight hair and Caucasian features, but they were considered Negroes in South & North Carolina. Many could have fled north and passed for white as some blacks did in the Jim Crow south. For the record, I am not a Obama or John McCain supporter. Both political parties suck.

As far as I am concerned...she has the most important job in the world...five times over. Her first priority should be those children...not pushing the envelope, making history or breaking the glass ceiling. What man in his right mind would not object to his wife taken on this kind of role given the circumstances of their family dynamics. Sounds like two self-centered egotistical adults to me. What is wrong with McCain who should be wiser than that to even consider disrupting a young family like that. So now the kids are going to be raised by the nanny...what a joke. This is what some women seem to think they need to fight for.

I don't object to his choice of a woman...she seems like a nice person. If she was single... yes...married but no kids...yes...kids all grown or in high school/college...yes. Not the formative years. Sorry folks... this sends the wrong message and it has nothing to do with being able to do what a man can do either.

Join the 21st century Factseeker.

I would think the FACT one of her kids is fighting for your freedom right now is more than enough reason to take the VP offer.

By your thinking what about Obama and his kids?

If he is elected the first lady is busier than the President most of the time. Those kids will suffer too. I'm sure her priorities are right and her family is one of them.
Anymore reasons for her not being the right choice other than her having children?

2 SELF CENTERED EGOTISTICAL ADULTS??

Your ignorance and comments on things and people you know nothing about astounds me.

For the record...I am a free man. Contrary to popular belief and opinion I am not aware of anyone fighting for my freedom because I am not in bondage. Just because someone's child is off fighting in a war (that has nothing to do with me) does not mean that person gets an automatic pass to the Vice Presidency.

Mrs.O'bama schedule as first lady pales in comparisson to that of the Vice President with dailey official duties. Being first lady gives one more discretion and flexibility. Mrs. Clinton was first lady raising Chelsea comes to mind.

We know one thing about them...they are making a bad decision.

Once again you fail to comprehend the meaning of my post.

Her concerns for her children and especially having a child serving this country fighting for DEMOCRACY would make her a great choice for VP BECAUSE of actually having a child on the front lines! I didn't say it was the reason why she should be VP. OR that it was a free pass to the office of VP.
I said it was a good reason for her to ACCEPT the VP offer.

If you spread those cheeks a bit wider you might get your head out and actually UNDERSTAND the things you read.

Again explain how Palin and husband are 2 self centered egotistical adults..

Once again you fail to realize not everyone lives in your little world. No one has time to figure out the "hidden messages" in your post. No one has time to try to read your mind...although much isn't there. ("If") you were smart...you would write what you mean and mean what you write.

It is quite obvious that you have had a lot of your own cheek spreading expiriences.

If you look in the mirror you will get a full explaination of self centered and egotistical and a whole host of unfavourable adjectives to properly indentify a person such as yourself.

"I would think the FACT one of her kids is fighting for your freedom right now is more than enough reason to take the VP offer."

How can you say this gives her a free pass to be VP?

Comprehension is a SOB isn't it?

There is no "hidden message" in that statement.
It's just not written in a sixth grade reading level for you to understand that's all.

I think Sarah Palin has the right demographics. After all, this is all political. She seems to been a straight-shooter and I think will be a good compliment to help McCain shore up his conservative base. Though not a liberal, she is a woman and that may help secure some of Hillary Clinton's disaffected voters. Time will tell but on balance I think McCain made a wise choice.

Hello, boys and girls...factseeker, you had to be a male to make those vacuum headed statements that you just made. If you have a wife I hope she kicks your adz for putting her beneath your ignorant self. Today I heard a fat black woman on Cspan say the same thing, and I was appalled. Can't you get it straight that Sarah Palin has, without doubt, a trusted nanny who is as good at changing diapers, blowing on a skinned knee and cuddling a little one when they need to feel secure. Mom has not disappeared from the face of the earth...she simply went to work which may or may not require travel. Princess Diana was NEVER questioned as a mom.. sometimes she took the children, sometimes she did not...and WHERE do you think her boys were during her trips??? It is too bad that ignorant people cannot see that people who are in important positions and can afford it have HELP in raising their children. This is NOT NEW...and it does NOT damage children. Sarah Palin will NEVER be an absentee mom...and unlike weak males, she CAN do both jobs...all woman have several jobs...we just don't get paid for it. Yep..McCain did a fabulous job...he chose a Washington outsider, but an intelligent, more than competent, energetic anti-corruption female who just happens to be a mom...Yaaaay. McCain has listened to all of us...and himself, too.

And...by the way...did any of you hear that Osama says he is sending "money" to New Orleans residents to help them. Hmmmm. Wonder if he checked that out with Soros first? He must be sending some of that $500 million dollars of Soros' money. Guess it's easy to buy votes these days...smacks of that...doesn't it? Hmmmm.
