If you didn't see it, I encourage you to go to abcnews.com and view Bob Woodruff's report that aired Tuesday night.  I salute Bob for sharing his personal journey.  But I am even more impressed by his important reporting on the plight of too many veterans.

This transcends corporate interests.  I hope you will watch Bob's report, and then write the Department of Veterans Affairs or your local Member of Congress and demand accurate reporting on the number and types of injuries from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.   And most important , please demand the care our veterans deserve for their service.   The right care.  Right now.    Speaking truth to power is more important than blogging to me.    But I do hope to hear  your comments.

I believe that it is an autrocity the way our veterans are treated when they return home. I even heard that when they are wounded in Iraq that they have to spend their own money to get back to the United States. I hope that this is only hearsay and isn't correct.

But I have met men who served in the first gulf war and they were greatly abused by Gulf War Syndrome and other things that this country didn't feel the need to address. I went to the Congressional Black Caucus Conference in September of 2006 and they had a special session for veterans in the Gulf War and I was appalled to hear how many of them; leaders in our communities, were totally ignored and abused by the Department of Veteran Affairs as their medical needs were overlooked and their attempt to get answers to their conditions were ignored.

And when they went to friends and family who were in the medical profession; they found out that they were suffering from other forms of Gulf War Syndrome themselves. And that the military was keeping information about depleted uranium that they were using in bullets and cannon shells and tank shells a secret as to its affect on people once it gets in the air and becomes a gas like substance.

And to my amazement; after 13 years of wondering what Gulf War Syndrome was; I got my answers at that meeting. These little dirty secrets are being hidden by the military and it is an autrocity that they are allowed to be kept secret by a country that is suppose to be truly supporting and taking care of its soldiers.

I could go into more detail but I dont' have the medica

Oh my! I ran out of room so I will complete that sentence. I don't have the medical expertise to explain the affects of depleted uranium but I am sure you can google it and get more information about it. Especially if you are in the medical field. But make no mistake about it; the God of heaven sees everything and these secret evils are another reason that He will have to come and intervene as mankind will continue to wreak havoc in its genocidal efforts to deplete and depopulate the nations of the world in various ways. As all of mankind from the beginning of the history of the world will have to answer to the Great King of kings and Lord of lords and His Almighty Father God on the Great White Throne Judgment Day!!!

I've anchored Fox Five Morning News since June 1990 and it's a privilege to try to bring you stories relevant to your lives. Every day is a new challenge, and my previous jobs were great preparation: White House correspondent for ABC News; an anchor and reporter for CBS News; an anchor and reporter for WJLA-TV; and a reporter for WPLG-TV in Miami. I have a wonderful husband and daughter, and lovable though undertrained dog.
