It was the right decision. News Corp reversed course and said no to O.J. Simpson, If I Did It. It is a victory for decency and responsible broadcasting. And now back to our regular programming. Is there any lesson beyond one tasteless project? Let's hope so. The public voice was heard regarding the public airwaves.

Lark, I don't agree with what OJ is doing, however we as a people have the choice to watch or not to watch. This is the second time in a month that decisions have been made because of the people, first with Gallaudet, now with this. There are too many shows on TV that I would never watch and I think they shouldn't be on I choose not to watch them. The public voice is loud and clear on the war in iraq, why are they bringing our soldiers home?

Who would want to watch a murderer profit on such a thing?? This was totally the rightthing for News Corp. to do. I lived in southern California at the time O.J Simpson did this horrible crime.. The only reason he got off was there was threats of violance and looting if he was found guilty by the people who thought he was innocent but many more knew he was guilty.. For people who wanted to watch this or buy his book think on this what would you do if someone you knew murdered your family then got away with it and then 10 years later writes a book about it to make money. How would you feel????

They don't have to watch. If we don't watch, he doesn't get the ratings and then he gets the point that people are not interested in hearing what he has to say. Did you ever stop and think that maybe someone out there really wanted to watch it??????? I guess not, because they pulled it. I am not one of those that would watch, but people who wanted to, should be able to.

lark,
I have been a distance fan for some years dating back to the late 70's on
channel 7,If I did it,only a portion
of the interview was shown, just enough to get the white popular in a uproar to keep O.J. down, ten years is long enough, hey, the man who shot the president gets to go home on pass, is he forgiven. to ladygodiva I love the chocalate, but dislike her taste inopinion did she walk in the rooms? or even put on the glove
ladygodiva, states thatO.J cime was horrible, why because she lived in southern cal. and a black man so in her words killed two white people and regardless should be hung for life.In answering her question on how would I feel after 10 years, and being the christian thatI, for what O.J. was trying to do I feel that I am not his maker and nor are you,I feel that God has answer for O.J. and we as his childern will have our day too. Question to ladygodiva, Did you ever forgive?.

Lark, rest your case. cfcjoey3 has you cornered; doing a movie and book about how your would murder your wife is the same as leaving a mental hospital to stay with your parents. You gotta forgive.....

FishStick,
you're right,all have been forgiven
by the courts, but not by people like

cfc, I'm not saying he murdered his wife. My gosh, if someone murdered his wife, I would assume he is horrified and shocked at the brutality of it. And he must be in some kind of mourning over it all, maybe for the rest of his life. I would be.
But if you have ever lost a loved one, how would you react if someone asked you to write a book about how you would have murdered them, if you had gotten the chance. Wouldn't that bother you a little bit, or would you just go for the $$?

Beleive it or not, but this world now
is all about the money.War,Lawsuits, and granted the muder of a wife could possibly haunted
you,but you can grow numb to it,for a chance to really tell the truth to the
public, again, I would do it, but just maybe the publisher offer the money, and not the question of how much would I make. You and I have already been convice again that it's
O.J.'s fault all about the money.

NEWSBUGGY - You state "we as a people have the choice to watch or not to watch." Yet I saw in the Michael Richards blog you stated (in regards to Seinfeld), "take it off the air or we will boycott."
Selective censorship is not good.

Ok, I have to get in on this Blog.

O. J. Simpson needs to sit his tail down and just stay out of the limelight. I understand the need of money, however, in all truthfulness, in the eyes of White America, O. J. is a MURDERER and therefore, he will never be able to redeem himself—no matter what he tries to do. Never mind that Robert Blake (Barrette) was acquitted, found “NOT GUILTY” for the slaying of his wife and yet, we do not hear them (W.A.) calling Robert Blake a murder or that the outcome was unjust.

As an African American, yes, I have to agree that it was very distasteful of O. J. wanting to publish a book on how he would have killed Nicole and Ron Goodman and even wanting to go on TV to talk about something such as this. In fact, in was very uncouth of FOX, promoting such trash. What were they [O. J. and FOX’s executives) thinking? I could have slapped O. J. with a “stupid stick” on the behalf of Johnny Cochran, when I heard what he was doing. Did he not think about his Children—his Children from his first marriage as well as his children with Nicole?

In closing, I just want to add that “the Chickens have come home to roost.” The justice system that White America has set up—the system that for years has prosecuted so many innocent African Americans and freed some many guilty White Americans—it has turned on you. In the eyes of the Law, O. J. Simpson is innocent, so why be angry at him when it was your justice system that set him free?

I don't agree with what O.J is doing, in fact I resent the man, but there is the argument of free-speech. Glad FOX pulled it, but if they did'nt, I would really have cared anyway. He can do it or not. Its his choice.

Simpson comes up will we rallynto stop him again, hey,for you people who stands up for the unjusted, How about 15years from now. Oh! the book was not O.J.'s idea, Nor was the title of it.
